I decided to pay cash to get the discounted price of $3.89..,.told him I was on #2 was having hard time getting my gas tank open...car locked...finally get it open and he put my $32.00 on pump 1 on other side... so then he puts on correct side (pump 2) and he had $4.09 as my price...when I paid cash for the discounted price of 3.89....I said something...oh oh I'll go change he said... what a shyster! Try's 2 different ways to rip me off! (Something similar happened to me in Tustin about 5 yrs ago... I pulled out my phone and threatened to call the police and he gave me what I paid for.) Be wary especially if you are paying cash...Always get a receipt! (Debit and Credit Cards you can pull up the charge on your phone to prove what you paid.. ...cash you need a receipt!) This gas station does NOT care about its customers. I got hacked again last night. Went inside, to pay for gas as I got hacked at the pump a month or so ago. Early this morning someone used my card to try and get money at another nearby ATM machine. I have NO DOUBT that my account was hacked at this station. I even was able to track down where the attempted withdrawal was made. This morning I went into ARCO and asked for the manager's name so I could let him know what was happening. Gas attendant was rude. Would not give me the manager's number and said I had to "prove" that their station was hacked by showing him my bank statement. Again, I was trying to let the station's manager know this has happened for the third time and I had additional info for him to help protect his customers. I will NEVER go to this ARCO station again. I live nearby and have been coming to this ARCO for 12 years, but after tonight I will never return!! I went into this ARCO station at 11:34pm and Dinesh said that he would not give me cash back because he was closing (even though the lights were all on and they do not close until midnight). I even asked him what time they close and he said 12:00am, in 26 minutes!! I told him that I specifically came in to fill my empty gas tank, but some drinks, and get cash back. Dinesh repeated that he was closing and refused to give me cash back. I left without purchasing any gas or drinks and gladly paid more money for better service across the street!!!! Worst customer service ever. For some reason this place never takes my debit card at the pump. I go inside to see the cashier and ask for $20 on 1... he puts $40. Then tells me there's nothing he can do about it. Can't give me my money back. Of course I got angry and defensive for why should I loose another $20 cause he heard me wrong?! That's not my fault. they have the pumps labeled incorrectly on the large overhead signs. this led me to giving them the wrong number. then some A-hole pumped what i paid for and took off real quick. The guy at ARCO refused to reimburse me at all (whopping 20$) and when I spoke with the owner he actually tells me "its a small gas station that doesn't make much money" when it's consistently the most crowded station around and then offers me 5 bucks. Let's start with the positive...yes, the prices are a few since lower than the Mobil kitty corner on Beach and Adams...hmmmm that's about all I can come up with. Like waiting? Then this is your place... The lot itself is waaaaaayyyyyyyyy too small... You wait in line to get to the pump while some imbecile goes in to get coffee before he starts the pump. Once you navigate your way to fill your car with fossil fuel, you realize they don't even have pay at the pump...What is this, the 90's? You have to wait in line again at some central little kiosk to swipe your card. There's another station not too far north on Beach Blvd... use it, and skip this one! read more

THEY STOLE MONEY FROM ME!!! I went to get gas, $20 worth of Unleaded 87. My car does not take premium!! So I went in, paid with a $20 bill, walked out to pump gas, no lights came on when I pulled out the nossle. So I waited til it regonized that I pulled out the nossle. Once it did, I pushed 87 Unleaded. Nothing happened. Pushed 87 Unleaded again. Nothing happened. Pushed it one more time, IT STARTED PUMPING PREMIUM!!! I stopped it immediately which stopped the charge at $1.87. I walked back in, told the cashier and he said he would restart it and put the $1.87 back on. So I walked back out, watched it "reset" and saw the lights turn on with the little TV screen and pushed 87 Unleaded once more. It started pumping 87 Unleaded like I wanted. HOWEVER!!! It stopped me at $18.33! I tried adjusting and pumping again, nothing happened. So where is my $1.87???!!?!?!?! I told the dude, he came out and tried to pump it himself, and he said that I already got the gas that the machine charged. I explained to him that it was premium which I did NOT push and he said he would give back to me. He no joke stood there and argued with me about how the machine never makes a mistake and it was me who pushed 91 Premium!!! I kept telling him I know for 110% fact that I didnt because my car does NOT take premium!! EVER!!! He said "No. It was you. Youre not getting that money back for free gas!!!" FREE GAS?!?!?!?!?!?! We bought gas here tonight. The large lighted sign said regular gas was $3.49 per gallon. There was a smaller unlighted sign next to that one that we didn't see since it was nighttime and it said that debit and credit cards were $4.45 a gallon. I filled my tank and went into the attendant and he said it was not a mistake that the price showed on the gas pump. The driver right next to me had the exact same problem. So since I filled my tank I paid $17 more than I would have had I paid cash. That is unconscionable. read more

Would not take my money because it was in coins and not cash. I kept repeating "so you are refusing money" to the cashier and he still would not take it. He said he had too many Quarters and didn't want anymore. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was. I then asked to speak to the owner and he wouldn't give me the information. So if you are the owner of this gas station, your employee refused to take my money and I left without gas and went to a competitor and spent my money there. We love this gas station/mini mart. We stop there every time we're in Huntington Beach which is usually every Saturday and Sunday. We bring our classic race cars so we really do trust their gasoline quality. It's the only place we like to go to in the area. Their gas prices are great, and they have a handy selection of store items. Sam and his staff are so nice and do a great job. I wish gas stations in our area were this terrific! read more
