Very friendly staff! I was here last weekend and was surprised how nice they were. After I filled up on gas, I walked in to ask if I could have them turn on the air machine, versus me paying a dollar for it. They happily obliged. It's such a little thing, and most gas stations will do this for you if you ask, but still I appreciate it. It's right at the corner of a very long red light, so I've twice found myself stopping here for petrol and soda while the light turns green again! Because it's on the right side of the road I can just roll out again quite easily. read more

Christmas Eve, had low air in our tire....stopped to get some air but the machine was jammed. When I went inside to find out if they were aware of this the employee told me he was and that they were charging 50.00 to use the machine because "they have to make money somehow on Christmas Eve". I have been going to this gas station to get work done for many many years . About 17 years now . I even moved away to Newport Beach for 7 years but when I get a chance I go see John and get regular maintenance done whenever I can and have him look over my vehicle even if I had to have it fixed at another shop because it was close to my house. I just moved back into the area and now I'm using him regularly again. He just price quoted me for a job . He quoted me at 1500$ .. firestone quoted 2370$ .. did anyone know firestone charges 150$ per hour labor .. that's more than alot of dealers . This is an embarrassing story but here goes... Several years ago, I stopped here to gas up before a long drive to visit family. The curbs around the pumps used to jut out about a foot and I unfortunately clipped my tire against one as I was trying to pull in. The curb bent my wheel just enough to let all the air out! It was early on a Saturday morning and I was frustrated and embarrassed. One of the mechanics came running out and helped me. He pulled my car into the shop, took out the wheel, bent it back into shape and put it back on. When I asked how much, he told me FREE!! He just wanted to help, and that it wasnt a big deal. I thanked him profusely and was able to go on my way! This experience made all the difference. The gas is more expensive than the Arco across the street, but better gas gives you better gas mileage, so definitely worth it. The curbs have been fixed since so dont worry about doing what I did! read more

I wish I could give zero stars, super sketchy, the guy took my card, and did everything on the computer himself, next thing I notice is he tried to charge my card much more than I asked. And the weird thing is it didn't say Mobil gas station, it was his own name. I think he tried to take my money. Luckily I didn't use my debit card with money on it, and I used my cash card. Deceptive and Rude! HUGE sign on the street has one price, which is apparently for cash only, and tiny sign behind a bush, nowhere near the pumps has a very different price if you use a credit card. Really? Be upfront about your pricing. Every other station that has 2 prices lists them SIDE BY SIDE rather than trick the customer into pulling in and then charging more. I mentioned this to a guy working there and he was so rude about it. I took my car for smog check this morning and mechanic John was very helpful. I had another appointment and was concerned how much it takes to do the smog check. They have good prices but I won't be going back here again. They have the older style of gas pumps and for the first time in my life (been pumping my own gas weekly for decades), I had a "leak" (the gas didn't shut off properly and was spraying out on both sides oft gas tank). The nice indoor attendant offered to take my phone number to request a refund from the owner on the extra &10 worth of wasted gas that spewed out. However, the manager on duty (could be the owner?) wanted to charge me for cleaning up the mess to make me reconsider pressing for a refund! He said they didn't have a problem with the pump all day, but I don't have any prior experience with this gas station and have never had a leak problem at ANY gas station either as previously stated. The only reason I gave them a "2" instead of a "1" is that the attendant was so nice. read more

I needed gas the other day. Driving by our station, I noticed the gas was $3.78 per gallon. so I stopped. After fueling I wondered why my cost was unusually high. Upon leaving I spotted a tiny sign that read $3.78 cash and $4.58 debit/credit. I am furious. That is $.70 a gallon. I wonder why the small sign. How can you justify this outrageous price. A small sign like this is equal to a speed trap. Be sure you will never get any more of my business and I will do all I can to make sure no one else shops there either. read more
