They weren't super busy, but each row of gas pumps was still occupied with cars. Grounds were clean. Great to see the overhead LED indicators are available to show whether the gas pump is vacant or occupied. I saw 4 sets of columns with 4 pumps on each side. If I do the math right, there are a total of 32 pumps. Pretty decent size. I saw green and drove right to that pump. Space between the two sides was enough for my Mom's van to pass through. Got a full tank of gas and we were on our way. No interaction with staff whatsoever. Prices were in the $5+ per gallon. They are usually cheaper by $0.10 or so compared to other name gas brands. Tip of the day, you'll have to enter the gas station area from the outside road that borders the parking lot. There are markings on the ground, but I still got confused. I had to take a detour to get to it. I totally forgot to capture some photo snaps. Will catch them next time. Thanks!

I didn't have any points on my Ralph's card, so I ended up using my Shell. I automatically saved 5 cents per gallon. The gas at this station is so much cheaper than the one in Silver Lake. I didn't need to go inside. Plenty of gas pumps to choose from. Easy to get in and out of the gas station. Not too far from the freeway.

This Chevron ExtraMile now requires customers to hand over their ID to purchase California Lottery tickets. When I presented mine, the senior cashier scanned it. I asked a simple question: "Is my personal information being recorded? If so, where does it go?" Her response? "It's company policy." I explained that, under the Privacy Act, I have a right to ask what information is being collected and how it's being used. I also pointed out that company policy doesn't automatically override people's legal rights or privacy concerns. Her final answer: "You can go buy your tickets elsewhere." Fair enough. But scanning and potentially storing a customer's identification just to sell a State lottery ticket seems like an awfully strange policy. I only wanted a chance to win the lottery--not an audition for a background check.
