DO NOT GO TO THIS GAS STATION. I went there to put some gas in my car and when I took out the nozzle, THE PRICE METER KEPT RUNNING even when I wasn't holding the handle down. I went inside to talk to an attendant about it and he did not seem to care. I walked back to my car and apparently he followed me and pretended to check the pump WHILE HE HAD A LIT CIGARETTE IN HAND. Nothing was resolved. Ridiculous, I will never come back to this location. read more

Miserable! The first pump wouldn't take my debit card, went in to pay, cashier tells me Oh, that pump has been broken all day. I said, should't you put a sign on it? She tells me, we will get to it, we are really busy. I move my car to another pump. Again, won't take my debit card. I go inside to pay. Oh sir, we are sorry, we can only take cash for that pump. Ugh, what a dumpola and what half wits that work there. Grab the back of a Pepsi poster, write, "Out of Order" and if there is no tape, take that piece of gum you are chewing like a cow and stick it to the pump! Never again. read more

Too much good stuff? Too much bums around asking for change, way too much criminal activity. Graffiti everywhere, even on pumps. Coolers aren't stocked very well, and prices get mismatched. Store was dirty, but not totally filthy. Good luck paying credit, and SCREW the Debit fee, even if it's $0.35. Most cashiers say no credit, there is indeed a way to run credit. It's a separate terminal than what's probably Mako or Gilbarco specific payments on the POS system. Personally, I wouldn't fill a vehicle I care about with Arco but I digress, filled up a family members car. And for these reasons. One thing that can be good or bad...this station as of last time I was there lacks vapor recocery nozzles, meaning no "shoving the stick in the hole nice and deep" Personally, cool. I used to go to this location almost every day, but no more. See, it is conveniently located on my way to work, so I would stop by in the mornings for an inexpensive coffee. They did this reward card thing where if you got the card punched so many times, you got a free drink.. Then, one day, they decided to change the way they mark their cards from a hole punch, so some weird stamp with numbers on it, and now they refuse to accept the cards which have the holes punched in them, even though they themselves used that system not to long ago, and as far as I can tell, all the other locations still use the hole punches (I know for sure that the one in Selma does) I'm sorry, but if this promotion is supposed to be nation wide, throughout the whole chain, shouldn't they accept cards which were marked at other locations? I wonder if their corporate offices know about this. On top of that they were RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! Instead of politely explaining the change to me, when I brought him a full card, expecting to get a free drink, he practically shouted in my face "We don't take those no more!" Cheap gas for Fresno, but still pretty expensive for normal gas prices in the Central Valley. Still, it's the cheapest I could find in Fresno. Not too busy, you usually can find a spot or two open even during busy hours because there are a good amount of stations available. Outside area is kept clean, which is nice. Inside of the AM PM gas station are tons of things such as food, supplies, equipment, car tools, drinks, and more. Cold sodas are cheap, $1.50 for a XXL soda cup, which is great for a cold day! The staff is not too friendly - cashiers often rush you and have a rude and unfriendly attitude. Other than that, it is about as good as it gets for a gas station. Good prices, clean, and good gas station goodies. There are some homeless people around this area, so logically there are quite a few hanging around this gas station asking for change or food. Also, the area itself is in a somewhat-bad area of Fresno, so be careful if pumping gas at night or with your kids. I would not recommend using this gas station during late hours, as it could be potentially dangerous. read more

I'd suggest going here to fill 'er up in the morning or late night because it can be annoying trying to get gas any other time of day. The cashiers in the afternoon/night are always talking up a storm and you have to wait for them to WANT to help you. The guys that work in the morning are friendly and certainly don't ignore you when all you want is to zip in & out. read more

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. I somehow lost my debit card after getting gas at this location. When I noticed I didn't have it about an hour later, i immediately called asking. They said no one had turned one in. I asked again to ask the other employees if they had received one. They said no. I drove back like a bat outta hell to see if I could maybe find it. I went in asking the THREE employees at the front if anyone had turned it in. Their response was "Oh yeah, some lady came in asking if anyone lost it (with my card in hand). We said we didnt know and she left" I said "YOU LET THIS LADY LEAVE WITH MY DEBIT CARD?" "Oh yeah, she said she'd mail it" "HOW WOULD SHE MAIL IT?" Like deer in headlights, they just stared at me like I was the idiot. THREE employees let her leave. Knowing she had someone else's debit card. Their pumps don't work. The debit card swipe thing doesn't work right. The chip reader doesn't work either. I tried several cards. They weren't helpful inside or came out to look at it. Also the place is a disaster and a mess to deal with when busy. I didn't give them a dime after dealing with them for 20 minutes. They won't get any of my business. today i filled up the motorcycle at one of the gas stations i usually go to. there are two am/pm-arco's near my work, so i usually hit one of them up because the victory runs on premium, and they've got good prices. for those that don't know, am/pm takes cash & debit, and i usually pay cash. you can insert your money out at a terminal, and after you're done pumping you get change inside. my bike usually takes about 4 gallons to fill, and so that's always going to give me change off a $20. such was the case today. i prepaid with a $20, and filled it up. when it was done, i noticed that my total was $13.37 (that's right geeks, 1337). i walked in and waited in line for my change, $6.63. when it was my turn, the salesclerk gave me my change and i walked out of the store. as i put my change in my pocket, my mind turned over, because the change just didn't seem right. i hadn't looked closely at what the cashier had given me, just sort of glanced and put it in my pocket. did she give me only 3 coins? how could she have given me correct change with only 3 coins? so, i reached back into my pocket and could only feel 3 coins. i pulled them out - two quarters and a dime. i reached back in my pocket, no other coins to be found. the cashier shorted me three cents. i stood there dumbfounded for a second, wondering if i should just move along with my day, or go back and get my 3 cents. i mean, it's only 3 cents. and as i stood there thinking, i got a little bit pissed. it wasn't about the actual worth of the money, it was about the principle of it. i went back inside and stood in line for the same cashier. when i got to the front of the line, i said to the cashier, "you shorted me on my change. it's only three cents but..." and before i could finish she was handing me the three cents. she didn't check my change, didn't check my receipt, didn't let me finish and tell her how much it was. it really seemed like she knew exactly how much she had shorted me, and was quick to fix the error.. it felt like she had intentionally shorted me and probably does it regularly to customers, but most of us just stuff our change in our pocket without checking. sure, it was only 3 cents to me, but over thousand of transactions it adds up nicely for the business. shady. read more

One of the lower gas prices in town. Car wash has pre-wash as well, and uses recycled water so it's good for environment too. But, make sure that your car doesn't have anything sticking out, antenna, etc, the driers really pack a punch. read more
