DON'T GET GAS HERE!!!! GO TO CHEVRON. They owe us $12. Read all their bad reviews. They even turned off reviews on Google so people could stop warning other people. They charge a TON more than any other gas station in the area and hide their prices so you don't notice until it's too late. Let's be real here. BP is not charging this Arco exorbitantly higher prices for gas than everywhere else. Arco itself is known for being on the lower-priced side of all the major fuelers out there. It makes no sense that out of all of them, this one just happens to be getting gouged by BP corporate. Then they roll out a flimsy excuse for covering their sign: "it's not bright enough." Yeah, sure it isn't. So it hasn't been "fixed" in two years? I'll bet! I needed gas so I stopped by Arco but good thing I checked the gas prices at the pump because it wasn't being displayed on any sign. I drove across the street to chevron because this arco location is asking for a damn arm and leg for a gallon!! This is a SCAM!!!! Predatory practices at this station, charged me $6.69 a gallon for regular when $3.99 across the street. They don't post the prices except on the pump itself, and being in Oregon I am not pumping my own gas so I don't look at that. A reasonable consumer would assume that it would be within range of the other stations (the chevron across the street was at $3.99, still high but right of the freeway that's reasonable). The poor pump attendant and store clerk are forced to take the brunt of this frustration and have people yelling at them all the time. They're scamming people and taking their money. Awful station charging almost double of stations in the area and hides their prices

Like all the other reviews here, I got ripped off. They charged almost $7 a gallon when others charged 3.34. They hid the prices. There were no signs and I only found out after filling my car up. I paid about $100 and I was pissed. I wish I could submit a formal complaint to the city. It was just disgusting what they do to people. read more

This gas station is regularly scamming its customers. They have put a banner over the sign that normally shows prices for gas so the price is unknown until you pull up to the pump. I didn't think anything of it because Arco almost always has the lowest prices. However, after the attendant finished pumping my gas, I realized they had charged me $3.99 per gallon! I've filed a complaint with Oregon Department of Justice. I stopped to use the bathroom thought nothing of just getting a bit more fuel earlier today 1.16.2021. I could not believe. Gas was 3.98 a gallon for low grade unleaded.. This gas station is a scam they charge WAY more than any gas stations around them. The Chevron right next to it, which is known for having higher quality gas charged 3.19 while this gas station had the nerve to charge 3.98. I didn't realize that this gas station was charging this much more than their competitors because they don't have their prices posted unlike every other gas station that does. I even checked with one of the employees to make sure this price was correct and she said they don't change their prices, what gas station does that?? 100% agree. They have had outrageous prices on fuel since I moved to the area 3 years ago. They sign on the street is never set to any price. They do that because they are close to the highway and people that are not from the area know Arco has having cheap prices for fuel. They see the price for Chevron (which actually has cheaper prices than most Chevrons in the area) and assume they will have a similar or cheaper price. They keep their attendants outside in a little booth and they spring into action quickly when people pull up. They are already pumping gas before most people think to check the price. It's only afterwards when they discover they have paid about $1 more than anyone else is charging. I believe he does this because the usual markup for fuel is only 5 cents per gallon. Stations make their money off people when they go inside and buy snacks or drinks. Also, since they are located right on the highway most of their customers are travelers and it is unlikely people will complain or return. What they are doing is wrong but I am sure the owner has looked into gauging laws and I would bet he stays couple of cents under where he would be considered breaking the law. Travelers should avoid this place at all cost and just go to Chevron. They have superior gas, better customer service and their coffee is vastly superior as well. Plus. Chevron has sparkling clean bathrooms. read more
