Fuji Sushi & Steakhouse surprised me. A sushi place in Lakewood? That must be a first. And though…read morereluctant to try it, we did and it turned out to be pretty good. We were given a warm greeting at the door, escorted to a pleasant table, and given menus. As with most Asian restaurants, there were a lot of different offerings. I chose to have their Hibachi Filet Mignon while my Beloved simply went for a Philadelphia roll of smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. Beloved found his roll to be good tasting but nothing particularly special and I pretty much thought the same of my dish. As the place was spotlessly clean, the service good, and the food decent, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to come back. And I should admit, that being from Fort Lauderdale where there are excellent sushi restaurants on near every block, I think I'm rather spoiled,

But, even though there were a good amount of people there, our wait was short. We had one of the Hibachi tables. Our waitress was a very pleasant and efficient young asian woman. She was quick and professional the whole time. The food runner we had could have been better. She nearly spilled the Miso soup on my friend and didn't bother to clean it up. When our waitress came back, she was the one to wipe it up. The Miso soup and the salad was so good. I did get a big chunk of lettuce spine in my salad but it was still good. The Hibachi chef was very energetic and entertaining. He interacted with my friend's baby, which was cute. This was the baby's first time and his eyes got huge when the oil fire was set off! The Hibachi food was delicious. A little on the salty side but very good. Huge portions too. One meal is enough for two whole meals. So good! Can't wait to go back again.

The Scarlet Vetter says.....First off, I really love this restaurant. The service, ambiance, and…read morethe food are top notch. Simply great. The owner is present almost all the time tending to things and checking in on tables. I have never ever had a bad meal here. Like not ever. Not even a mediocre meal. Always rates very good to great. From the steaks. To the seafood, to the Italian specialties.....just tops. It is hard to get into during the ski season, and not too easy even off season, so please do plan and make a reservation. If you can snag a booth, that is the best. The bar is a great place to come for a drink with a friend or to watch a sporting event. My most recent visit to the restaurant was this past Friday, a nice night in early May. We met some friends here for dinner. We had two appetizers of stuffed peppers which are absolutely amazing with just the right amount of heat, and the Nona's Meatball with gooey rich ricotta cheese.....yum yum. My husband ordered a house salad, which was crisp and delicious. For entrees, our companion couple ordered the twin filets and the fish fry. Both were reported to be fantastic. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan and I ordered the Chicken Milanese. Absolutely excellent. For dessert, both couples shared their own order of Tiramisu. I ordered an Espresso and that simply rounded out an amazing dinner. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Service was great and super friendly and we were seated immediately around dinner time. Since it was the "battle" it was loud inside but we didn't mind. Villagio's lies on the sidestreet in what looks like an old barn. It has a unique rustic charm that we enjoyed. It's an italian based restaurant that offers bread with olive oil and seasonings to start. We didn't realize that and also got cheesy bread which comes with a red sausce. Both were delicious. For entrees I ordered bucatini carbonara with chicken and my wife ordered the filleto's. Pricing was reasonable in the $20-$30 range per peson. We enjoyed the visit and had a great time!
