I'm late to the game, but when visiting Fredonia, I was so excited to see that there is sushi, hibachi, and Thai ice cream, Japanese crepes, and more! Had lunch with some of my longest friends while visiting "home" from Florida- I can't wait to head back! We had a variety of rolls, sushi, and sashimi, boba drinks, and a crepe among us. I noticed that they had tempura veggies online, but they had changed the menu, and the chef made tempura broccoli for me! Everything was delicious and the people were wonderful! The young ladies behind the counter shared that most of their orders are take away or delivery service orders, but they get plenty of foot traffic as well! Eel poke bowl is always my go to. Good prices, delicious, friendly staff. Consider me a regular when I'm in town.

Although the prices for sushi rolls are good, I will definitely not be going back here. I ordered three rolls, and they were not very good or fresh to say the least. I ordered one roll with shrimp tempura, and after eating a couple rolls, I realized that the urinary tract in the shrimp was not removed. It is safe to eat, but as a customer, I think that is disgusting and immediately stopped eating any more. read more

I went there on a Wednesday about 11 o'clock and it was dead inside. This was my first experience. I ordered crab ragoons, pineapple fried rice and chicken low main. It came to 28 dollar's. The service was odd as they seem to make a single disb at a time instead of bringing all 6our food at once. The people who bring your food out speak no English. The ragoons were ok but the pineapple fried rice was nasty.vthe put your rice in a half of a pineapple husk and the rice was way to mushy. We came up to spend the weekend with friends. We were looking for some takeout so we could watch the sunset at Lake Erie Park. My friend found Arctic Bites. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Don't really get all the food reviews. I'll start off with the positive. The New American Sushi Roll was pretty good. It looked good in the pictures and I'm happy that I did. It was the only part of the meal that I enjoyed. The shrimp and avocado were the best parts of it. The crab on top was a bit slimey on some of the rolls. My husband got the chicken fried rice. It had no flavor. He likes things pretty plain so he didn't mind it too much. It wasn't bad once you put a whole packet of soy sauce on it. Now for the worst part. The crab Rangoon was inedible. I took one bite and spit it out. It was so fishy and such an odd texture. My friends sadly ordered it too and hated it also. I don't know exactly what my friends ordered but they didn't seem to really like it either. I'd definitely pass on this place. I hate to be negative and write bad reviews but this place was terrible. read more

This place opened in Fredonia originally as a rolled ice cream shop, with ice cream bubble waffles as well. It has since expanded to include ramen, sushi, and bubble tea, and as a Fredonia grad, I have to say, it is exactly what the town needs! Prices are extremely affordable, at about $8 per bowl of ramen. The staff is super friendly and super passionate about the business they do. Barstool seating and a few tables as well! The ramen is delicious! LOTS of noodles, pork always cooked to perfection, and flavorful broth. From what I've heard, the sushi is pretty good as well! They have a lot of rolled ice cream options. My personal favorite is the "Cookie Monster", which of course involves cookies and cream ice cream! I was sad that this place opened shortly before I graduated. Ramen is my favorite and they know how to do it right here. read more

Your typical Japanese restaurant with the occasional special rolls and varying cooked kitchen foods, it was hard to say this was anything different than what I've had from the past. With very little seating but quick service, you had to order in the front desk instead of having someone come to you which was a bit confusing at first. We asked for gluten free options for the rolls and I don't think they remembered for the Summer roll. The flavors for both of these rolls didn't really mix well especially the Summer roll with he strawberries. The best part about these rolls were the sauce hiding the flavor and textures of the sushi rolls. The pork ramen's pork belly were cut so thin that it tasted very similarly to beef cut in a Chinese restaurant, dry and no fat. The veggies weren't the most appealing either and I didn't expect for there to be corn in this kind of dish. The umami was too salty most likely from the pork belly and unfortunately the veggies didn't balance that out for me. Overall, it's good for a quick bite if you didn't care what you were having. read more

Was really in the mood for sushi and found this place on Yelp. I always thought it was just a ice cream place I had no idea they also had a full restaurant. So I decided to give it a go. I got dumplings and three sushi rolls. The dumplings were deep friend. I prefer pan fried dumplings. These were okay, I wouldn't get them again. The American dream sushi roll was very good. Lots of flavors. The spicy sushi rolls were basic cheap rolls. Good for how much they were. I saw they had ramen on the menu. I will have to try that sometime and update my review. read more

They have a wide variety. From poke bowls to Thai ice cream. It was hard to choose! I wish I had enough room for the crepes! Seems the best seller is the Thai ice cream and bubble tea. I got the poke bowl with spicy salmon, spicy tuna, seaweed, spicy crab mix, edamame, red and green onion, seaweed salad, cilantro, fried shallots and ponzu sauce top brown rice. They ran out of kimchi and masago which was pretty disappointing but my dinner was tasty. My dining partners stated they could've used more flavors while one said it was the best Taro boba tea she has ever had. They do give you a hefty portion. It seemed like a strange combination, sushi and ice cream. But then I saw the Thai ice cream and understood. In any case, we got the sushi rolls and fried rice. The fried (?) rice was barely OK, but the sushi was nothing like I've ever seen before. While all three were different types, they all pretty much tasted the same, and they were made with all the inside ingredients mashed into kind of a paste. They were pretty bad. I LOVE Artic Bites. Their shrimp tempura will melt on your tongue. Their miso ramen will warm your soul. And their rolled ice cream will cool your nerves. The owner here is an eccentric man who loves nothing more but to make homemade foods for his customers. Arctic Bites is a great addition for the area. It was originally known for it's Thai rolled ice cream - which is delicious - but has added on some well done Japanese food. They have traditional sushi and sashimi. I had avocado rolls and they were looked and tasted good. My mother had a vegetarian poke bowl that included rice, avocado, corn, and edamame. She had never had a poke bowl and was surprised how much she liked it. We ended our meal with the Thai rolled ice cream, which was fun to watch being made and tasted yummy. They have ramen, sweet and savory crepes, and a variety of drinks, including bubble drinks. It's something different for the Fredonia/Dunkirk area and the food is very good. read more

Absolutely awful. I was a long time patron, along with my family who were as well. Today, Arctic Bites got every order wrong, gave us different food than what we ordered, and they were very rude (girl got upset with me when I asked how long my order would take...waited an extra forty minutes. A time equaling 1 hr 10 minutes). I ended up calling and asking for the owner who said "thank you for letting us know". No attempt to fix it. No apologies. I will not be returning and I suggest you don't either. read more
