New staff sucks I've lived here for a year now. Couple months ago I noticed younger girls working there and the attitude is insane like bffr. My business in Woodburn yesterday on Sunday came with a 2 hour wait. I left the house no breakfast. I seldom ever eat at fast food joints but on this day this Arctic circle was like an Oasis? I came to Artic Circle with my mom because it is our favorite fast food restaurant and the only one of two in Oregon. The girl taking our order and servicing us at the window was absolutely disrespectful. She cut us off mid sentences and snatched the card reader from our hands. She needs to find a new job! This place makes you pay .25 cents for their fry sauce !! It should come with it! Not only that they give you a credit card tablet to sign with a tip recommendation on top of that! I was also served a single cheese burger with one wilted mini slice of lettuce and a bunch of gunk as condiments! I was sick for a week a made a complaint they offered me a rain check for another burger To this day I never felt the urge to go there again ! Beware this owner is a penny pincher! I really wanted to love this slice of nostalgia. If anything close to Yelp existed decades ago, I would have left a rave review. Now I question if they have gotten so bad at their food or if I had such bad taste back then. I believe it's the former. The burger was dry. I ate three bites. Not inedible but not worth the calories. There ought to be a law against their fries. Reminded me of the last time I ate BK fries, and I can make better fry sauce. NO bathroom. Artic circle is something I grew up on. I didn't even know they existed anymore. I was in Woodburn for work. So I typed in "fast food" for a quick lunch. The only thing was that it took really long. But right now, that's pretty normal. The food was hot and fresh, and service really was outstanding for fast food these days. They were all very nice and not grumpy at all. And I enjoyed my lunch very much. I work from my car and try to not eat fast food all the time. But I would go back if I'm in woodburn again. read more

Not worth the drive, and now we all understand what happened to this delicious relic. So sad, so pitiful. Which once was a treat my Aunt would promise me for getting straight A's. During the ride there, I was gitty in anticipation of my delicious cheeseburger. Disappointed and dissatisfied. Man, the cheeseburger - This one was cold, old, limp salad on it - no jucines - no flavor. I also had the fish basket, which was served hot and right. The fish was cooked well, but the fries were limp. My man had chicken strips and a burger, both sub-par, so he regretted not ordering the fish like I did. The jamocha shake and his shake were good, still thick . But we were the first in there, for about a whole minute and a half we were ignored by two of staff at the counter. Each chick chatted it up!with the other and a cook. One walked off, one took our order. Think it took 8-9 minutes until our order was ready for takeaway. We watched countless men and women walk in without masks on. Only one guy was asked to wear one out of what I can remember counting two couples and that guy coming inside. So, I didn't take pictures of the food, trufly, it wasn't picture worthy. Thought jumping in the car going on a ride for some nostalgia good eats, was more of a notion, rather than a good experience. Chasing that cheeseburger memory , and ran into a disappoinment. It is what it is. They can have that fly filled shack. Get some citronella, or something. Geesh . I'm good. Artic Circle was one of those old school fast food chains I grew up around but never bothered to try. Including this location in Woodburn, Oregon is home to seven location across the state. At the begging of a friend who is a fan, I finally got to try my first taste of Artic Circle fare. For the longest time I was convinced the chain no longer existed. I'm so glad to be wrong. Long story short, the food is fast food delicious. Burgers are small, simple, and a must have when coming to an Artic Circle. Their other sandwiches, like the fish burger is quite good as well. Couple that with a side of sweet potato fries and the "special sauce" and you're in business. Finish it off with a Lime Ricky, a purple soda with a lime kick that is sure to bring smiles and possibly diabetes. Parking is ample here and the employees are super nice. The space here is decent for groups and just right for families of small children destined for obesity. Fast food junkies and Artic Circle noobs would be dumb not to give this place a shot.. read more

Where is the owner of this place? I met in to order To Go. The young lady at the front counter had a terrible attitude. Unfriendly and rude as if was torture for her to be there. Her sweater was dirty and had a long hair on her chest. And she was hot: apparently their AC is not cooling the building well. She was airing her chest by pulling in her sweater in a rapid motion. There were at least three flies in there. Where has the good friendly customer service gone to these days? And why is it so hard to find decent places to eat on the Go? It's a shame. Excellent fries! Fry sauce is the bomb! I got the ranch burger which is basically a big mac style burger but they use real cheddar cheese. It was cold and made me sad. I haven't been here in prob 20 years and it looks exactly the same...not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Next time I stop by I'll stick to the ol' stand-by, which are the buttery delish golden fries and their fry sauce. read more

My Husband and I dropped by last night to get small milkshakes. After paying over $11.00 for two small milkshakes we anticipated the great milk shakes we remember buying at Artic Circles in the past. Imagine our dismay as we took our first bites. Yuck. I had ordered a Caramel with cashews and was given a chocolate with cashews. But the consistency of the milkshake was runny. Did I already say yuck? My husband ordered a hot fudge with peanuts. He received just a chocolate shake no nuts. Fortunately, the consistency of his shake did resemble a milk shake. I feel so bad for the owners of this place. I'm sure they are trying their best to get good help. It only takes one clueless employee to ruin a customer's experience. We can't justify spending over $11.00 for milkshakes that we come home and throw away. read more

Just went through the drive thru at the Woodburn, Oregon store. Had a coupon for a free chocolate covered raspberry shake when you buy another shake at regular price. Ordered 2 shakes, a crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and a country chicken sandwich with tater tots. First, the shakes looked nothing like the picture on the coupon. The coupon shows a raspberry shake with some small chocolate morsels on top. The shakes we received were vanilla with the chocolate morsels on top. When we asked about it, we were told the raspberry is in the morsels on top. Very disappointed but we accepted the explanation. When we got home, we could not eat the fries or tater tots. They were very greasy. I could squeeze the grease out of the sweet potato fries. We called the Woodburn store to tell them of the condition of the food and got an argument from them. They said the fries are cooked in oil so of course they're greasy. These were inedible. Paid over $8.00 for fries and tots that we weren't even able to eat. I worked at that store years ago so I know the quality of the food that should come out of there. This was not it. Arctic Circle will never get another penny from me. Have a good day. read more

I will drive 80 miles round trip to visit this iconic chain. My entire life I've enjoyed their food and the original fry sauce. I sure hope they stick around so I can always get my ranch burger, fresh hot fries and fry sauce fix. Filthy! I do not understand how the Health Dept hasn't shut this "Lil Shop of Horrors" down for good! This place is the best way for me to feel like a kid again. Every time I go in there and have a #3 with a Dr. Pepper and loads of fry sauce I am transported to my childhood.
