I reserved the bridal platinum service, definitely worth the extra cost. It was a 3 hour long appointment with mocktails and charcuterie board included. The space is comfortable and very nice. We enjoyed the charcuterie and drinks. I highly recommend booking with arctic rose, I tried on about 10 dresses that were selected specifically towards my questionnaire that I filled out before the appointment. I will start my review by saying I did not say Yes at Arctic Rose - BUT - one of you will. This is because Arctic Rose did not have just what I was looking for, but it was really hard to say No! When you start your journey of looking for your wedding gown, I would say it is important to go to different shops, because each one carries different gowns and you may have different experiences than other people. However, I would say that my experience from Arctic Rose was so fantastic, it was hard to walk away without a purchase. The only thing was, I was looking for something that she could not offer in her selection, that many other shops could not either - and that was a certain color with a style with this and that and the other thing (basically I had a vision that I could only hope I would find). I have attached the photo of the dress that I really wanted to walk away with if I was going to do the traditional wedding, but in my heart I know that is not for me. My mother called Arctic Rose, and explained what we were looking for, and Diane had pulled every dress in her stock that could fit the description, pulled sample books with fabrics, and sat with me to explain the possibilities. She was the sweetest person, and had every hint and knowledgeable tip about "what to do" on your wedding day, and those tips that make you giggle when she mentions the groom taking off the dress with those difficult buttons on that night! The shop is in the downstairs of her house, but she has is set up with a private fitting room so that you can decide when you are ready to show your party (in my case my Mom), the dresses you have selected. She has undergarments available, sleeves, and explains exactly what and how a tailor can make each dress perfect for you. Her wisdom just makes you want to purchase (this was very hard). You know you can trust this woman, as she has been doing this for DECADES. I give her 5 stars because she has all styles and understands how to make a dress fit each body. In Alaska we don't have too many choices when it comes to trying on wedding dresses. I went to Andersons, David's Bridal, and the terrifying Dyesomonds Bridal before I made it to Arctic. I saved the best for last. Dianne was the most wonderful person to work with. I arrived at her amazing studio where she'd already pulled about 12 dresses based on the conversation we'd had about what I wanted. On my way to the restroom past her racks and racks of gowns I spotted a dress that wowed me. I asked if I could add it to the pile. For the next THREE hours Dianne helped me in and out of dresses. My friend has a lovely little sitting room to wait for my next dress to be shown off, and I was given all the time I needed to think about what I liked or didn't like about each dress. In the end, the dress of my dreams was that one I'd seen on the rack. The final dress. It was perfect. I wore if for a half an hour before I decided I was done and I never once felt rushed. This was the dress. Dianne ordered it, it arrived, I tried it on again before buying it, and even walked out with some additional hair pieces. Never once in the process did I feel rushed or pressured to buy, and I genuinely felt that Dianne was happy for me when I found "the one." I plan to send her pictures from the wedding so she can see the final dress in action. Dianne of Arctic Bridal is a dream to work with, and I suggest all my Alaskan brides-to-be head to her. Having had the worst shopping experience ever at David's Bridal a few days ago, I think we went in thinking this would be an "okay" time with one hour for my daughter to try dresses on. Diane was amazing! She listened to my daughter, gave her suggestions and selected dresses my daughter had spoken with her about before the appointment, as well as gowns from new collections. We never felt rushed or pressured. She had such a positive attitude and made my daughter feel on top of the world. We love her!!! read more

I would give this place more stars if I could! If you're looking for the best dress shopping experience, go here! The woman who owns it, Diane, is incredibly nice and helpful. I had just had two bad experiences the day before, so I was a little apprehensive. We all got there and she had already pulled 6 or so dresses she thought I might like based on our short phone conversation. My family sat in the little waiting area and Diane put down some ground rules (like no booing) and then brought me back into the fitting room. In the fitting room there were strapless bras and slips that I could use if needed. She helped me into the dresses and zipped, cinched, clamped, etc. so the dress fit before showing it off. She would have me stand in front of a mirror first and talk to me about the dress and then bring me out so my family could see it. After that she'd sit there and talk to me and my family about the different ways straps could be added, taken off, bottom could be hemmed, etc. She was so incredibly helpful and genuinely nice. This is the experience everyone should have. I seriously could go on about how great it was. Her prices were probably half of what other places were and they were great quality. I ended up buying my dress from her (the first one I tried on!). Also the address on here is not the correct one, she had to give me the correct one. It is worth the drive from Anchorage though! read more

If you are looking for a wedding dress or know someone who is you have to go to Arctic Rose Bridal Salon in Wasilla. I can't even begin to say how great my experience was there. It's by appointment only so you have to call ahead, but it will be 100% worth it. Diane, the owner, is so sweet and really listens to you. She's not pushy, and you never feel rushed. The room where you try on is so warm and cozy. There is a huge mirror, two huge couches for your guests to relax and the cutest big rug that's decorated with hearts. The double doors to the changing room give it that "say yes to the dress" vibe. I went to about 5 different places here in Anchorage before I ventured out there, and I'd have to say I saved the best for last. read more

As a plus size woman i had about given up on finding a wedding dress that i liked after going to Davids Bridal (nightmare) and Anderson's (great service just didn't have the one i was looking for) decided to drive the 40 miles to Arctic Rose, and boy and i tickled i did! Dianne is a very sweet, knowledgeable and caring woman. I felt like i mattered to her and that i wasn't a waste of her time. She had pulled about 5 dresses before i got there, and after trying on a couple, i was very much at ease with her and she suggested i try one that even though wasn't on my radar due to style and color i tried anyways...... I was blown away, it was the dress i had been searching for (even though i didn't know it) The experience was one of a kind, and i will be referring anyone i know looking for a special occasion dress to Dianne. Awesome, Awesome, Absolutely Awesome! Diane the Owner, was absolutely wonderful from the initial phone conversation through the entire process. I found and said "YES To THE Dress" (literally)!!!! LOL It was Great business decision for Arctic Rose Bridal, to do Appointments only because I had her undivided attention, I wasn't rushed & it was truly about the Bride. I did NOT get that at David's Bridal, in fact they don't answer the phone ever, I didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in the door and I stood around for 15 min before someone did and then....well the rest was just ridiculous. You have to stand up in a closet while waiting for the consultant to bring the next dress & then be exposed to God & everyone when they open the door of your closet to come in, carpet was filthy & wet!!! OMG! Anyway, back to the wonderful experience for during my wedding dress hunt. Arctic Rose Bridal salon is clean and spacious, huge mirrors so you can get the full effect of your gowns, clean plush carpet, great decor, Spacious bridal suite w/seating for bride to wait for next dress and her guest seating as well. We also may have found the bridesmaids dresses (if they all concur on style) as well as a dress for my mom. She even helped them try their dresses on using the clips and everything so you can get a clear concept of the dress to your size. Prices were great for me actually. It was well worth the drive out of Anchorage to Wasilla. My entourage (5 girls) and I had a ball making it a well documented road trip for my day!
