I walked in on a Saturday looking for a compression angle stop. I have no clue what it is except…read morethat it is a plumbing part. My clueless expression must have shown on my face because the gal at the front desk ask if I needed help. (I later learned her name is Lily) she lead me to the plumbing section and spent some time looking through the rows and rows of straight stops and angle stops hoping to find the right fit. After 5-10 mins she got another staff's (Gabriel) attention asking to help. So together after several minutes and few trips back and forth along the plumbing aisle, they patiently figured out the difference in size fitting between a copper & iron pipe. In the end, Gabriel found the angle stop that fitted the water filter to my bidet. Shout out to Lily and Gabriel for their dedication to assist customers in need. The management should be proud of these two team members.

I seldomly, if ever, needed to travel further for the hardware or tools I was looking for. Quality items at a reasonable price. The moment it switched to a Rona, I started experiencing issues. My first purchase as a Rona had a problem with quality and I needed to return the product. I was giving this review some time, hoping that things would improve. But I haven't had great luck. The inventory availability and selection just don't seem what they used to be. The management of the store told me that their affiliation with Rona gives them access to better product range, since Rona is more Hardware and Ace is more agricultural. But I think this store is trending to become a typical Rona... Which would be lower quality items at average prices, and low availability of products. On top of that... Ownership and staff are the same, and they are still the same cheerful helpful bunch, however the store seems to be very messy and dirty all the time. Definitely not as welcoming and navigable. I wonder why?

They've been here for a long time, and I've been using them for a long time. In their pet supply section alone, they have all kinds of items and food for birds both indoors and outdoors, satisfying my African Grey and his little conure friend as well as all the juncos and chickadees in my backyard. I love walking through the store because of the great supply of all kinds of things: from farm implements, lawn care items, tools, gloves, hats, cages, more. Also found some fun toys and treats for our cat. There is a huge selection of cat and dog food, as well as stuff for less common pets such as guinea pigs, chickens and rabbits. (Were the Wallaby treats actually for kangaroos?) Lots of wonderful stuff for us humans too, especially for the holidays. Saw some wonderful silvery reindeer to go in yards, and bought some wonderful hanging tropical chimes for our house. Overall this place is a real treat.

Their gift selection feels really unique and not like the usual stuff you see everywhere else. They also have really nice greeting cards at super reasonable prices, usually about half of what you would pay at the pharmacy, and they feel so much more personal than those generic cards. It is one of those places that just feels special when you walk in, and I pretty much always leave with something I love.

Tom, at Vanwingerden, agreed to take my seeds and germinate them. He sent me pictures of the plants germinated in April and told me I could pick them up in "a month or so". Some didn't come up and I told him not to worry about those ones. The deal was I would buy the starts back. I called before mother's day to pick up the starts with no response. I called after mother's day only to discover Tom gave away ALL the plants to one of his employees. Not only did he give this employee the plants, he gave her ALL my seeds as well and then tells me he doesn't want to bug her to ask for anything back because of a loss in her family. Why would I bring seeds in and give them to their office if I didn't want the plants? Why would he get my hopes up by sending me a picture of the plants? What would ever make him think it was ok to give away my heirloom seeds? I blindly trusted and shouldn't have. The whole thing makes no sense at all and I feel totally robbed.
