This was my first remodel, so I did a lot of research and got multiple bids. Andrew's pricing was lower than others, but his work looked almost too perfect, which honestly made me skeptical at first. I reached out to one of his past reviewers before hiring him, just to confirm they had a good experience and they had nothing but great things to say. Now I understand why. Andrew handled demo, moved the shower to a different wall, installed all new tile, plumbing, lighting, and built the entire shower from scratch. He also has a strong eye for design and helped guide decisions in a way that felt collaborative, not pushy. He showed up exactly when he said he would every single day and worked full 8-10 hour days until everything was complete. His communication stayed clear, consistent, and reliable. He kept the job site clean, contained the dust to one area, and was extremely respectful of my home. I took notice that he was the only contractor who took his shoes off at the door when walking thru to bid. That said a lot to me about him. He continued to do things that showed his good nature and great character. Another thing I really appreciated was I felt that he genuinely looked out for me. A designer I had hired was pushing me toward options that were well over my budget, and Andrew encouraged me to take a step back and think it through. He even suggested better alternatives, which I ended up using. That kind of honesty is rare. He also recommended great companies for other parts of the project, including AQ Glass Arizona Shower Doors and Aaron Dominguez Granite, both of which did excellent work. He stayed on budget, did everything right the first time, and was incredibly patient with me throughout the process. I've already hired him again for my kitchen and guest bathroom, and he's even come back for a few smaller requests without hesitation. The only "negative" is that he's booked pretty far out, but that's really not a negative. It just means he's in demand. He is absolutely worth the wait. I feel very lucky to have found him and would recommend him without hesitation.

Not recognizing a huge red flag when being asked for a large advance payment outside the contracted payment schedule before the work was completed. Not paying more attention at the showroom, which should have been a giveaway--basic design, broken cabinets, sloppy paint lines, and no real sense of quality or style. Not pivoting as different subcontractors rotated through, many barely showing up, some openly complaining about their employer, and when communication, planning, and attention to detail became nearly nonexistent. Not writing a review sooner when at the end there was no final walk through, thank you, or handshake, likely because my expensive remodel still needs a qualified contractor to fix. The photos don't lie, the quality is bad, but more importantly, so was the experience.

From the start, Van the owner came out to do our quote and in the end the cost was still within the range we agreed on. I really appreciated that. I'm happy we went with actual home renovation experts instead of just saving money with a small team. (Which we did consider as some of our friends did) We had a dedicated project manager named Dakota the whole way thru which was great for any questions for help or updates along the way instead of asking van for questions or calling customer service all of the time. I put some photos of some 3d renderings they showed me that I used as inspo for our casita. They will use your exact home and layout too so there are no mistakes with measuring colors or anything. I want to mention because this was important to me: you can tell they're true professionals not just hired from Facebook... they always wore matching shirts, never reeked of cigarettes or alcohol, and never left a huge mess behind. It's the little things like that that were super important to me. Not that all do but I do know it happens and it wasn't our experience Not gonna lie... it did take a bit longer than expected. Partly cuz I changed my mind on a few things mid-way (oops) and also we had a couple storms that slowed things down. But the team handled it all really well and kept us updated so nothing ever felt like a surprise. Me and my husband knew WAY ahead of time if things were going to be held up. During the design phase we met with Kathy their designer and got some 3D renderings which helped us picture it way better. The final plan had a full kitchen, laundry, bedroom, bathroom... all finished with high-end materials and serious attention to detail. Kathy knew what was in stock and was helpful if I wasn't sure which to choose but for the most part I chose what I wanted. The casita feels like it was always meant to be part of our home. This was more than just a custom home addition... it is a piece of our home that blends right into our house which feels amazing. My parents and guests love it and we couldn't ask for anything more. The goal was to expand an existing, view-facing deck on the back of my home... while also adding a whole new room to the downstairs part of the home by utilizing the newly created space underneath the deck expansion. I had prepared my 'back of the napkin' drawings in some detail and Steve, Sheila and team were able to stick closely to my design concepts throughout the project, while professionally upgrading the drawings for all of the necessary planning and approval steps that were required along the way. Steve also accompanied me to the City Planning Hearing in order to get city approval to expand beyond the allowable 'footprint' of my home for the project to move forward... and it all came off without a hitch. Nine months later and we are enjoying the views of Lookout Mountain from our outdoor kitchen atop our newly-expanded (and now partially covered & misted) deck. The "new" side matches the pre-existing side perfectly, and the deck flooring upgrade has been absolutely fantastic. We've added several hundred square feet of VERY usable outdoor space just off of our kitchen and living areas, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The downstairs room addition is equally as fantastic, and even the few issues that needed follow-up were handled as courteously as one might hope for.
