We hired Eric with E.L. Construction to do a cosmetic update on our home in Phoenix. We replaced the flooring, painted the entire house, updated bathrooms, put in a new fireplace, updated pantry and closets, and did a complete kitchen remodel. The kitchen required removing a wall to open up the closed dark kitchen and adding an oversized bar. Eric was extremely timely and professional in getting us a comprehensive quote. He was also extremely affordable as well. He started work right away and did a phenomenal job. We gave him pictures of what we wanted for the kitchen and fireplace, and he replicated the style to a T - which most contractors can't do without a designer helping them. He also was able to design and order custom cabinets for our pantry. I had EL Construction come evaluate a patio cover with a rafter succumbing to rot. Eric himself answered promptly, and gave a fair assessment of the repair and the possibility of scope creep and how that would work. When I accepted his quote, he got me scheduled very quickly, and sure enough the scope had to get considerably bigger. The ease of communicating with him made what could be a scary situation much more approachable, and he definitely seemed motivated to treat my home like it was his own. The project dragged on three days longer than expected, but at every stage it was kept protected from the monsoon elements, and the construction made quick progress. The outcome was an excellent work product, everything looking like new, and a fair final invoice. I definitely recommend EL Construction for the hard stuff. I can't praise this company highly enough. We had a small rental house in Mesa that needed repairs and remodeling to make it safe and comfortable for my elderly parents to move into. What started as a germ of an idea to make the hall bathroom handicapped accessible for my dad with mobility issues, turned into a major project. I contacted three or four contractors about replacing my kitchen countertops with granite and doing a bunch of miscellaneous handyman-type work. Eric was quick to respond, and was the only one who seemed really interested in doing the odd jobs along with the granite. His price was also a little better than the others. The granite guy did an absolutely perfect job, and the rest of the crew were a happy bunch that actually seemed to enjoy their work. He told me he had to "check his schedule and get back to me" and for me to text him my address. As soon we hung up, I texted him my address, availability, and name. Days go by with no response. I wanted to do a full kitchen remodel and when I say full kitchen, I mean cutting out a big chunk of wall, new cabinets, new hardware, backsplash, quartz countertops, the works.
