Ya this place is just bad. Lunch was catered and I'm glad I didn't have to pay for this. I had the turkey club on a baguette. The baguette was stale and chewy. The entire sandwich was insanely salty. My mouth was dry after a few bites. I don't know if they're using high sodium meats or just tossing a load of salt onto the sandwich but it was not good. The bread was getting soggy on one side because of all the dressing or oil they used. And the sandwich was so sloppy. a quarter of it didn't even have turkey, and the bacon was stuffed in one end only. The onions were cut into huge chunks and again, just piled onto one side of the sandwich. This place is a joke to real delis. read more

The food here is absolutely amazing. I tried the Red Lentil soup and it was delicious. It is perfect with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice. Arda's has been a regular go to restaurant for anyone like me whose worked in DTLA Jewelry district for years. When I'm in the mood for healthy, filling and delicious brunch I always order the Salmon Plate. It comes with a large cut of grilled salmon, side of Greek salad, pilaf rice and home fries. Got a breakfast burrito and also a breakfast quesadilla and good lord, the eggs on both were about as grey and overcooked as a boiled tumor. Otherwise seemed fresh enough and the staff were very warm and outgoing. Maybe breakfast is not their strongpoint and/or they were having an off day. Arda's is hidden in plain site near a very busy Pershing Square. It just doesn't stick out in the least despite being 'right there'. Another thing that doesn't stick out is how vast their menu is. Despite being a 'Greek Cafe', they have a very large menu that covers a variety of food options that should appease everyone's wants. They used to have the 2nd best fries around, but they've changed them over the course of the pandemic for whatever reason, but they're not as good anymore and I. used to go there just to grab an order (large portion) of fries, but I don't do that anymore. All of the food I've ever eaten here is good, the prices are fair and the staff is pleasant and efficient. read more

A good spot for lunch. It's a little tucked away you might walk past it if you're not paying attention. But The times I've been here and the items I've ordered have always been good. They make some pretty good breakfast and lunch. The Burgers is solid. Their sandwiches are cool. I'll need to try some of the lunch plates next but I do enjoy their salads. I pass by during lunch when I feel like making the walk but their food is something I do look forward to. read more

The falafels were good, but that's just about it. The owner had the A/c, fan, most lights switched off and it was hot and muggy as hell. I had to beg him to turn at least one fan ON. Even that was so.... Slow. Really pathetic lunch experience. The price was supposedly $11.95 plus tax, but I have no idea why he charged me $15. I was afraid to ask him for an extra pita. I ordered a shrimp salad past 1pm (with tax totaling $14.22) with a couple of coworkers when the cafe was not that busy. But I still waited 30 minutes before eventually getting the food since they explained that it needed to be freshly cooked. However, all the shrimp turned out to be super tiny and overcooked. It literally tasted like leftover they just heated up. When we went back and asked for a refund, they refunded my coworker but refused to refund me because I have already eaten all the shrimp. This place is okay is to say the least. The food has a strong resemblance to homemade food which is okay for me. The coffee is not up to par in my opinion, given that it's a cafe, I expected more. It is a busy place, I'll give you that, so there's definitely interest for this place but for me it's just not doing it. The food isn't all that great, at best, it's fair. I always get my fresh bread from Ardas lightly toasted with mozarella cheese which they always prepare so well. Staff are attentive & fast. It's one of the best spots for a quick bite in LA downtown. read more

I just wanted to give an updated review to support this local business post-covid. Despite these difficult financial times, Arda's has kept the quality and price of their menu completely consistent. It's truly impressive! While many restaurants have declined in freshness/quality and increased prices, Arda's has continued to deliver top notch healthy & delicious meals. My favorite items on the menu include the following: salmon salad, chicken pita, gyro pita, french fries, and greek salad. I have also heard amazing things about their paninis, bagels, and omelettes. Their desserts are also amazing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Moe, the owner, does a terrific job with customer service and with keeping the restaurant clean at all times. He has taken all the necessary covid precautions and takes the pandemic very seriously. I would definitely trust eating here! Bagel with cream cheese review. THE AMBIANCE: Spacious coffee shop with a long walk way to the counter. They have stool seating along the wall and also table seating. I believe the owner (Arda?) helped me with my purchase; intuition. She was amicable. THE BAGEL & CREAM CHEESE: Adra's has a flyer printed out and in a plastic stand at the counter that displays what kinds of bagels they have. I remember seeing jalapeño cheese, onion, plain, everything, and my choice, cinnamon raisin. They do not have cranberry. I am a big cream cheese fan - like, I can take a bite out of a cream cheese stick and smile with joy - and I asked for cream cheese on the side and contemplated buying an extra one. The woman, however, noted that I would get more cream cheese if I asked for it to be spread on the toasted bagel. I don't like asking for the cream cheese inside the toasted bagel because it tends to melt and I highly dislike that :( She told me, however, that it wouldn't melt so I gave it a shot. I was very pleased with my bagel. It was warm throughout and had that semi-spongy texture where you can press down on the bagel and it compresses easily but is still crispy. The amount of cream cheese was good enough for me. I usually mount it but I was content with the amount that I was given. I also liked that they cut the bagel in half. THE TIPS: Try a bagel! Had an errand to run and saw this on my way to my destination. I'd never been here and it was actually the "fresh squeezed juice" sign that lured me in. Been craving a bagel with lox for a couple weeks. Could have gotten one over at Wexler's in GCM, but was not willing to part with $9 for one. I came here for their May 50 cent coffee special! Any hot coffee beverage of any size for 50 cents! I ordered a large mocha and it was fair; chocolately and rich. The serving was of drinkable temperature, not super hot. Service was cheerful and fairly prompt. In signing up for their newletter, I received a free soup. So I came back the following week to try Monday's soup of the day, homemade chicken tortilla. I ordered a large soup that included two homemade bread rolls. It was a good helping, especially since it was free. I thought the soup base was a bit thick and on the creamier side, but was good nevertheless. I liked how they topped the soup with crispy tortilla chips and mozzarella cheese. On a random note, they have bottled liquor, too. read more
