Yes, they are pricey (but in my humble American experience there is quite a mark up on *all* clothes in Canada vs the States - like a cheap tank top at H&M will be $5 more automatically in Canada - the exchange rate right now more than makes up for it) but a lot of the items aren't much - if any - cheaper online. I also just love supporting places like this, since there are so few left, and since a lot of "goth" brands run small I prefer to try a lot of the stuff on in person. The girl working and I had a good chat about the history/future of Lip Service in particular and some other stuff. She was super helpful and friendly which was also a change from a lot of alt shops, where the employees seem to spend their time perfecting that "I'm way too fucking cool to talk to you" vibe that makes me eye roll. I wanted *all* the things but settled on two LS dresses, one of which was shiny PVC and fulfilled all of 15 year old me's dreams. Definitely a spot to check out for a pricier but quality "statement piece" or to comb the shoe and clothing sales racks. I'd also like to add they had a surprising amount of men's clothes and not just band t-shirts and jeans either.

I've been in a few times since it's opened and I've never been disappointed. I happened by here today with one of my friends so we could check out the sales. I have to say, I was even more impressed than usual. Service is always great, but even with a store crowded with throngs of bargain hunters, we both received excellent service. The salespeople were extremely helpful despite the crowd. Whenever a store has a sale on, I always feel like I'm going to end up picking through the remnant pieces of clothing that no one else wants, however, today, that was not the case...the sale prices were amazing and the selection was ridiculous. We had a great time shopping and literally had to stop ourselves from buying more than we did. Overall, they carry a great selection of office attire, and great weekend attire as well. Will definitely be going back...there's a reason this place is one of my favourite shopping spots.

I thought I'd give it a shot and see if they'd be nice enough to accommodate me. The manager I spoke to certainly didn't look too pleased that I was exchanging an item instead of purchasing something, however, she made an exception and allowed me to exchange the shirt for the current selling price ($25 dollars less than original value). I quickly picked out something and paid $8 more. Another sales person helped me at the cashier who was friendlier than the Manager. She wrapped the new shirt up nicely and apologized they couldn't do something more. Overall, a pleasant experience at Ann Taylor where you'll receive A-OK service!

Their clothes are so nice and they have great colours for tops, blouses, shorts, summer dresses and pants. I ended up with 4 items my first time around and I also bought a summer dress and I rarely , if ever wear a dress! My sister ended up buying 4 items as well and when we went back 2 weeks later and we got more stuff! Her summer selection is great, her prices are very reasonable and we can't wait to go and buy more items. The women who runs the store is so sweet and helpful and that's another reason we enjoy shopping here so often. it's our new go-to- favourite store!!

Follow the giant neon "MADE IN JAPAN" sign down a flight of stairs to the shop filled with jeans and other clothing and accessories. It's a very stylish retail space. Staff was courteous and knowledgable, and my friends and I enjoyed the shop. However, sizing was limited during our visit and they didn't have my friend's size in stock. And price range is at $200 per pair. Quality is fantastic and made to last!

That said, there are only about 3 major fabrics in the store, but made into different styles. For instance, with one style of cloth that they buy a ton of fabric of, they make two different types of dresses, jackets, skirts and so on, all from the same cloth. So you can literally buy the entire line and wear every piece that will match perfectly with the others. The demographic seems to be rich(er) women in their 40s - 60s... which isn't to say that a 20-something like me can't wear the dresses, but first I would have to shell out about $300 per dress, and second, I would have to find the styles I like. Otherwise, it's a very lovely store, they are very nice and will do alterations for free :)
