At the beginning of my pregnancy, I would've given this place 1 star. My partner and I were sooo frustrated at the 3 hour waits that I almost rage reviewed at the lobby LOL I'm glad i didn't because as the difficulty of my pregnancy progressed, I grew more grateful for Dr. Karimi's efforts to keep our baby alive. My husband still gets very frustrated at the 3 hour waits (that's why this isn't 5 stars) so we try our best to get the EARLIEST possible appointment. We had a 8am before and only waited half an hour! That was such a joy. The afternoon ones were horrible but I quickly adapted and literally brought my computer with me to work and pass time I had a short cervix, debris in my amniotic fluid, placenta previa up until week 20 and just as i thought things were getting better, I developed Cholestasis. This was terrible and I was an extremely severe and dangerous case wtih my highest bile acids being 455. I was taking 300mg Ursodiol 4x a day but the condition was so aggressive. Dr. Karimi took it upon himself to do more research about my situation and found newish studies of prescribing Rifampin for cases like mine. TBH, i was hesitant to take this because even the pharmacist said the suggested dosage was 2x too high. i trusted the Dr. and followed all orders because the benefits outweighed the risks. Although it was expensive to always pay a copay when I saw him 2x a week and inconvenient to do NSTs 2x a week, he kept my baby alive! My heart really goes out to the staff there. They were invested in my situation and kept me in their thoughts; while celebrated news of my lower bile acids. May at NST (honestly, all the NST staff were fantastic), Tiffany, the sweet redheaded nurse (sorry i didn't get your name) that was so patient with me by administering 4 of my painful steroid shots. If you are reading this, PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION before agreeing to any major procedure. Our experience with Dr. Karimi left us feeling pressured and uncomfortable from the very beginning. The doctor seemed extremely quick to recommend a cerclage and pushed for the procedure to be scheduled immediately. We were also given multiple prescriptions beforehand and made to feel as though surgery was urgently necessary. My wife and I felt strongly that something was off, so we decided to do additional research and seek a second opinion from a trusted OB-GYN. We were reassured that the cerclage was not medically necessary in our case. As a result, we avoided several thousand dollars in surgery costs, expensive follow-up visits, and an unnecessary procedure. Most importantly, my wife went on to deliver a healthy, beautiful baby at full term. Based on our experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering a cerclage or any surgical procedure to do their own research and seek a second opinion before making a decision. In addition, the wait times at this office were consistently unacceptable. We routinely waited for hours past our scheduled appointment times. For example, we would arrive early for a 9:00 a.m. appointment and often would not be seen until 1:00 or even 2:00 p.m. This was not a one-time occurrence either, it happened every single time! Patients' time should be respected just as the office expects patients to arrive on time. He told me the same BS he told several other reviewers that I have debris in the amniotic fluid and that I have lacerations in my cervix from previous birth. He prescribed several medications and told me to come back the following week. If I could give this Dr zero stars I would. Echoing many of the other reviews you will find for this practice and this particular doctor, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! Like a great deal of the other reviews, I was advised by Dr. Karimi that I have a short cervix and would need to get a cerclage, which is a very painful medical procedure that requires an epidural and the sewing of your cervix. Something felt fell off. I have never received this information from any of my other OBs. However, I went against my gut feeling initially and decided to go forward with some other testing with this doctor. What a nightmare! Off the bat the front desk staff had me fill my bladder by chugging two bottles of water, when this particular procedure requires an empty bladder. During the actual procedure, His nurses had no idea how to assist him, they were screaming at one another while he was trying to perform a very painful procedure. In the middle of the attempt, the doctor decided to send me out buck naked from the waist down to empty my bladder in the middle of a very busy office, right smack in the middle of this procedure. When I returned, they still haven't figured out how to get it together and couldn't even finish the procedure. I immediately requested a change in doctors. Since this visit, I have met with two additional doctors who have both heard of him, both who told me there was not any issues with my cervix. Furthermore, one told me to not ever go back to him , and the other called him an unethical Dr who makes his money off cerclages. It seems like most people are sent to this doctor by their regular OB when they are deemed high risk, so keep an eye out for this. My pregnancy has been quite healthy and I'm glad that I made the decision to change doctors early on. We trust doctors because they have the education and the experience, but it it's very necessary to do extensive research. Zero star services!! Was referred by another doctor to come see Dr. Karimi for an ultrasound. Horrible horrible, just horrible services. Had an appointment last week that took 4.5 hour service; came back for another week that took another 4 hour service. Staffs working here seem to be mostly young, and inexperienced nurses. Was examined from one nurse to another nurse; to another nurse; (4 different nurses). What is this?? On the job training?? Got 10 minutes of the Dr. karimi's attention; still no explanation. Worth the wait every time. Know that there is a wait because of the amount of time they spend with you. The amount of information you get. The amount of care they provide for each patient. Each patient is there because they are high risk pregnancies. These appointments are lengthy and they try to work with as many patients as possible. My only regret is not finding Dr Karimi sooner!!! His care is the absolute best. He's proactive, involved and extremely good at what he does. I appreciate everything about his staff. The front desk lady that speaks 5 languages. Rude and condescending, tells us we can get the report and then changes to oh yeah now you can't without any explanation. The office staff great and nurses as well. However the wait time here is terrible we get here 15 minutes before our appointment and we have to wait 45-1 hr each visit. Then they use brand new nurse to do the ultrasound so that takes another hour to an hour and a half. They don't find what the doctor wants to see so 4 nurses try to do the ultrasound and can't do it wasting time and doctor comes and less than 10 mins it's done. While dr has experience, his diagnosis is based on fear tactics. Doesn't tell you the details and puts you on medication. When we said we didn't take certain once's he was ok with it, so did we need it? The baby aspirin was the worst one because he said take two and when we only decided to take one he said that's ok too! So what is actually necessary and optional they will give you everything they can. Some may like this type of care but we have no preexisting conditions and have done excessive tests that came back negative. I didn't want to make this review but they making it hard for us to take our info to a new OB we just want to make sure it's all there for them to review. I was referred to Dr. Karimi by my obgyn since I failed my 3 hour glucose test. I come to see the nutritionist and Dr. Karimi for gestational diabetes. The nutritionist is only available on Wednesdays between 8AM and 10AM which makes scheduling a little difficult. But she's really nice and knowledgeable. I'm not sure if she comes into the office but so far, the staff sets up a zoom meeting in the office to speak with her. Check in is usually pretty quick and easy. It does get busy and I can see how it would get overbooked in normal times, but I haven't had to wait longer than 15 minutes to get in for my ultrasounds. There is a little disconnect between the staff sometimes due to different sections (NSTs, nutritionist, front desk, ultrasound techs) but overall everyone's been really nice and friendly. Parking on the street is free for two hours. My visits are usually longer so I park in the lot and there is a fee. If you get your prescription filled or make a purchase over a certain amount at the pharmacy in the building on the first floor, they can validate your parking. read more

I want to take some time to thank this great doctor for his care and to let him know how grateful we are to have found him. I had a high-risk pregnancy due to my chronic hypertension, and I was seen by Dr.Karimi during my pregnancy. I don't have enough words to tell him how thankful my husband and I are and how blessed we feel to have been seen by him throughout my pregnancy. He genuinely cares about his patients and loves what he does. Dr. Karimi pays close attention to his patients' needs and concerns. He's been doing this for a very long time, and I know he knows what he's doing. He looks into everything and explains things with detail. I appreciate this because although I had a difficult time during my pregnancy, his attention to detail and the way he handles things made me feel safe to go through what I needed to in order to make things better. I will be forever grateful to him for everything he has done for me and my baby. Thanks to him, I was able to go through with my pregnancy, and although it was hard and complicated at times, he was always there. After reading the reviews, It's obviously that the doctor uses the same scare tactic to his patient. my wife was told to have a short cervix and recommended procedure (glad we didn't listen), was told to have debris in water and some infection. We were prescribed almost 20 medicine over the course of 2 months. We were schedule to see the doctor every week. It was an horrible time for us we developed anxiety. My Obgyn referred me to this doc and said "ignore the reviews on yelp (typical bad advice but folks, we're not talking about food or a restaurant here... We're talking about a highly skilled professional who there is only 1 of and no "sous chef" to assist with the service)... The main complaints are all about the long waits. Just take some food, water, and something to do". But she also said "I'm sending you to him because he doesn't miss a thing". Being over 35 and having suffered 2 miscarriages before, seeing a knowledgeable and skilled doctor was critical for me. So I sat playing candy crush, answered work emails, eating my sandwich, crackers, and juice. During the first appointment, I waited for about 2 hours and was seen by a imaging tech. The imagining tech was kind, thorough, and showed me everything about my baby. I have never been to a imaging tech so thorough. She took about 30 mins showing me the baby's head, extremities, all the fingers and toes, leg bones, arm bones, all 4 chambers of the heart, the size of the placenta, the length of my cervix, etc. Then the doctor, Dr. Karimi, came in and did his own imagining... He noted that my cervix was short and proceeded to do an exam. Within seconds he was able to tell me things I never knew about myself... The possible reasons why I may have had difficulty keeping the pregnancies... Etc! He spent about 15 minutes with me. I was overwhelmed by his knowledge and also saddened that I hadn't found him during my other two lost pregnancies.. Overall, the staff and him spent about 1 hour seeing me. No wonder there is a wait. Thoroughness and quality individualized care is not something that can be done in 10-15 minute visit. His office gets it. Quality over quantity.. although I'm sure other patients feel the same way as me thus his office has the quantity too. I cried quietly after my first appointment while waiting for my prescriptions in the lobby of the building. Thinking of my two lost babies and wishing I had found Dr. Karimi back then but so thankful that I finally found someone who could help me now. He must have saw me on his way to the hospital across the street. He stopped, gently tapped my arm, and asked if I was okay. He stopped. That's what got me... Here is a busy doctor, who has a waiting room full of patients, is busier than all hell even with 10+ staff members... Yet he stopped to see if there was anything else he could do for someone in need. I told him they were happy tears and he said "okay, I just want to make sure you're okay". Huh? Wha? These idealist "doing good for the sake of good" doctors exist?! Eventually, weeks later, I ended up getting a cerclage done by him. He and his staff were very attentive through the process. They scheduled me as soon as my insurance would approve.. they called me multiple times to update me and Dr. Karimi called me from his cell phone the day before the surgery to see if I had any questions. During the surgery, I heard Dr. Karimi explain why he preferred his cerclage a certain way to the RNs helping him... It was so that his patients had the best chance of keeping the babies. I think that's what it is... He explains. Doctors these days are so smart but not necessarily good teachers... They neglect to explain. They diagnose, they script you meds, and they're off to the next patient but you can tell Dr. Karimi is passionate about his field. He wants what I want... A healthy baby born to my family and he's educating me on how to best do so. So yes, it's a long wait. If you don't like it... Leave please so that my wait is that much shorter BUT if you're looking for a doctor who is knowledgeable, attentive to details, and skilled... I would avoid this doctor and wish I would have known this information before my pregnancy. I believe their was a complete lack of beside manners and some of the treatments I believe may have been unnecessary. I was referred to Dr. Karimi and since my first appointment he was had no bedside manners. He would come in the room and not even acknowledge the patient. He would also have unrelated conversations with his staff during the visit which was very unprofessional. I never felt my questions were answered and he directed for me to have a vaginal ultrasound done every 2 weeks that seemed very invasive and excessive. After about 3 appointments, I finally decided to look for a new MFM because I dreaded going into appointments. My new MFM said she did not see the need to continue vaginal ultrasound and was not sure why I had been instructed to have them so frequently based on her findings. For peace of mind and quality care, I would recommend avoiding this facility. (The front desk was always courteous and helpful.) read more

If i could give him 0 stars i would. I was referred here by my OBGYN and wow she couldn't have made a bigger mistake for me. It didn't take me very long to realize what kind of office this is right away when i walked in. This is where all the high risk Asian pregnant ladies go. I am Latina, and my pregnancy is not high risk, it has been a breeze since the very beginning. So why give a bunch of pregnant ladies the same appt time @ 8 am if you're going to have them all waiting there for 45 mins just to be seen for a stupid NST test, which by the way is very uncomfortable thanks to the old, nasty, over used chairs they have there. Also, by the look of things they do not clean or sanitize these over used areas because they're so overbooked and overcrowded, they have the pregnant women lined up like poor cows in that backroom. The only anatomy ultrasound I ever had done here was preformed by G. Herrera, one of his latina looking techs with a really bad attitude, rushed through the whole thing wasn't even sweet about it or anything, but what kind of treatment do you expect from an office like that really? I guess I went in expecting waaay too much lol. Just another name on a roster, right? my bad i forgot. Anyways when Dr. Karimi finally decided to finally make an appearance, he walks into the room. Doesn't even acknowledge me and starts talking to the technician about her child. Since i am the one who is PREGNANT and laying down on the table i assume he's directing himself to me so i foolishly respond. Just remember ladies Dr. isn't there for you he is there for the dollars and it really shows. Let me just end this review by saying that the 2 visits I have made to Dr. Karimi's office have made me want to give birth at home. I would suggest to avoid this doctor. This doctor told me that I needed to do a cervical cerclage and has been very pushy to ask me to make an appointment. As my OBGYN didn't mention anything about this surgery, I went to another doctor for the second opinion. The second doctor did not agree that I needed to do this surgery and that really gave me a piece of mind. Since my OBGYN and the second specialist doctor did not recommend the surgery, I stop going to Dr. Karimi. I am not sure why he strongly wanted me to do this surgery ($$??) and had being really pushy about it. I am glad I didn't go through a surgery that was unnecessary. Also, I have been there 3-4 times and every time was more than 1.5 hour wait. They always overbooked and made people wait. read more

This has been the WORST experience by far in dealing with a Doctors Office. Let's just start with the basics. When trying to set an appointment with the office, you have to be available between the hours of 7:30am and 1:30pm. If for any reason you CANNOT be available by 1:30pm they DO NOT take appointments after that time frame. It is extremely frustrating as many people work, have children, or other obligations that require them to not be available until after 1:30pm. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, make sure that you realize they WILL keep you waiting A MINIMUM of over an hour. I typically had to wait an hour and a half JUST TO BE SEEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT! Then, they have the nerve to take your blood pressure after making you wait that long in extremely uncomfortable chairs, only to say "Your blood pressure seems high." GO FIGURE. If you somehow make it to see the ultrasound technicians, I would say there are only about two seasoned techs there. Everyone else was either an intern or what seemed like in-training. I'm not seeing a High Risk Specialist to have an intern take my measurements only to CONSTANTLY get the measurements wrong. They could not take an accurate weight nor could they take an accurate measurement of my cervix which is MOST IMPORTANT. They couldn't even enter my DUE DATE into their computer system correctly to get accurate calculations and measurements for my baby! After all of the procedures and medications they recommend, you are left spinning. It seems to me that every time I went, they wanted to push more meds, more procedures, all the while NOT EXPLAINING what they were seeing on the ultrasound machine. Stay far away from this office and this staff. They are a joke and a half. All that came out of me being a patient of theirs was to end up having to change High Risk Specialists during my 27th week of pregnancy because "They cannot set appointments past 1:30pm". How are you supposed to be a doctor and quit on your patients or refuse to set appointments more than HALFWAY THROUGH A HIGH RISK PREGNANCY? STAY FAR AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. Dr. Karimi is very knowledgeable and he really cares about his patients, he takes his time to listen to your concerns and also takes his time to answer your questions. I first went in for my first prenatal visit and was very happy with everyone from the front desk staff, to the tech Gabby Herrera, the lab techs and of course the Dr. himself. WORST LOCATION EVER. I was told I had abnormal blood results missing a chromosome and that my child would have potential learning disabilities. The following appointment I had my partner with me and as we wait in the room the doctor comes straight in, sits down , and say straight to our face "so your child is going to have Down syndrome" mind you I was told that the only way a child has down syndrome is having an extra chromosome. So I said hold on ! You said this that and the other. He goes oh and turns around looks at papers on the desk behind him and turns back around and said oh yes and continues doing whatever he was. The nerve!! This was our first child , already in a high risk for the office for the first time and blindly tells someone that?! I had the worst experience and memories here. The staff luckily were nice but worst doctor ever. Clearly varies and over his daily routine in what he does. And mind you it was not a one time visit I had to go every week. Early in my pregnancy, I was referred to Dr. Ardeshir Karimi, who claimed that my cervix was soft/ open, and that I had debris in my amniotic fluid, he prescribed antibiotics and oral progesterone, also performing manual cervix check ups basically every time I was there. (without asking for my prior approval). He insisted on frequent, unnecessary visits, often using fear-inducing language and pressuring me towards cerclage surgery. After seeking second opinions, I discovered my cervix was perfectly normal and I did not require the treatments or surgery he recommended. i had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and gave birth to our son at 41 weeks. I believe Dr. Karimi's actions need to be carefully looked at as they caused significant stress. DR Karimi monitored our first pregnancy very well. He was very informative and friendly. At every visit, we would get a nice 3D picture of our little one. Most of the technicians were nice and helpful, especially Sunny (I think that's her name!). Wait time is always at least 45 mins unless you have the earliest / first appointment. Midday appointments are the worst ! We waited 2 hrs before. However, we had to wait at every other doctor so it is expected. FIRST VISIT: was referred to Dr.Karimi for my 20 week anatomy scan the first time I had an appointment at 10:30am and waited 4 hours to be seen! Once I was taken in the room the nurse conducted the scan and Dr Karimi only came in to see the scan and do a quick ultrasound. He prescribed me medication for constipation even if I wasn't constipated and scheduled me for another Dr. visit and the NST even if everything came out normal. Even my primary ob/gyn said it was weird that I needed a NST and medication when he saw absolutely no reason. SECOND VISIT: So I decided to be smart this time and made an appointment at 8am so that I could avoid waiting 4 hours again, got seen right away. I was taken to the first room with a nurse and a blonde woman who was being trained not sure if she was a nurse or doctor. Another nurse came in and told her to get me ready... got undressed waist down and the blonde woman put my feet on the foot stools legs wide open. It was her first day you could tell... she was very sweet and tried to make me comfortable as I waited for Dr.Karimi she cranked up the bed to a 90 degree angle (didn't ask) .... one of the nurses comes in and yells to her "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, don't have her like this!"... the nurse that came in DID NOT knock and left the door wide open since she went to fix the bed... so imagine I'm sitting at a 90 degree angle with my legs wide open, other clients walking with they're significant other in the hall with my vajayjay in plain site! The nurse fixed the bed put the foot stools down and just had me lay down, legs closed, undressed waist down with a cover. Finally Dr. Karimi came in and asked the blonde woman to conduct a transvaginal ultrasound when inserting the wand she got yelled at by Dr.Karimi because she was not using her other hand to assist the wand in entering and basically forcing the wand up there. Dr Karimi asked the blonde woman to take measurements to see how accurate she is at taking measurements and left. The blonde woman was nervous since she was already yelled at by the nurse and Dr.Karimi she kept doubting herself and asked the nurse that was in there for her opinion... it took about 40 minutes to get the 4 measurements he had asked... which I didn't mind since I got to see my baby longer and was nice enough to get me good images of my little ones face I have nothing to complain about the blonde woman I understood it was her first day and how she felt especially with how intimidating Dr.Karimi can be by the way he talks to you. It was just unprofessional on the nurses part for not knocking and leaving the door wide open and the way Dr.Karimi treats his staff especially in front of clients. For the NST staff and front desk they're all wonderful, I give this place 2 stars only because of their great staff (not including Dr.Karimi) and for the quality of the ultrasounds that's the only reason I came back ... to get good pictures of my little one for free. read more

They are letting u and ur wife waiting in the lobby for 3 more hours before u can see doctor. Don't know why they are still making appointments, It becomes meaningless if u arrange 10+ppl at the same appointment time. So, don't bring ur pregnant wife to here for 3+hours waiting of each checking in. read more

This place drives me crazy. The appts are not flexible availability, and they're always "too booked" to reschedule to a diff day. They overbook at least 5-10 other ppl at your appt time and you wait AVERAGE 2-3 hours. On rare days I wait 30mins to an hour. And yea lady(from another review), I kno I can play candy crush and grab a snack but theres no internet reception here or Wifi. My bladder gotta go like every 15 mins.No thank u. Staff is ok. Some are nice, some are meh. Dr. is nice too, but he's vague in explaining things and you very briefly get to see him but he is kind and does professional in his work. I was in the room with equipment for about an hourish. The ultrasound image clarity isdetailed but they dont explain my diagnoses very thoroughly during scans. The dr only saw me for just concerns n prescribe stuff. The nurse does all the diagnosis and write it down on the screen. If I hadnt have looked at the comp, I probably wouldnt know much. I ask questions to try to be in the loop at some of the screen labels. The nurse mostly did everything, the dr only reiterates what she wrote down and may double check the U/s. The machines print pics but they don't eagerly offer it. 1thing that made me really annoyed is that they ended up not even doing bloodwork. So my supposedly time-sensitive appt couldve been rescheduled at a more convenient time.I still dont understand what happened.I was already tested for trisomy18 etc at my OB, so i assumed they knew this already, and i assumed i was coming in for a diff type of blood test, since nobody explains anything. After all, it was my OB who scheduled this for me. When the nurse asked me when i last drew blood, she only took note and requested the fax from my OB, which she received shortly. I left the clinic not getting any blood drawn, very confused and no explanation in the inconsistencies. I had noticed she wrote down I have bilateral ovarian cysts(which is normal apparently), but nobody pointed this out to me. They only silently write things down on the comp screen and I happened to overlook it. I had to be the one to ask about it or bring it up and ask questions. Another situation that really angered me: I scheduled a month in advance for my next appointment to ensure i get a time that works for me But NO. 2weeks later I get call from them saying the Dr. actually does not come in on that day and I have to reschedule. And here I am jumping hoops to find a time that is convenient for me, which of course none of them are and having to take off work. My most frustrating visit is that i was scheduled for an u/s visit only. The staff insists I take NST first despite not being scheduled for it. I couldnt make it to my last NST so they wanted me to do that on top of my dr appt today. Well they take me in to do NST at my appointment time. THEN I waited 3 HOURS!!!!! THey took me in VERY LAST when everyone had gone and the room was empty. A huge waste of time just to be told the same things from my last visit. Baby was growing small so they said I need steroid shots. They wouldn't help me with telling my insurance it's medically necessary to be covered. I had to hassle my PCP. Very frustrating as I thought their department is supposed to handle it since they prescribed it. Kept pushing me to get it injected in their office so they can make $ and bill it. If you can't help with my insurance documentation to cover it, then NO. I had my PCP inject it since she actually helped me contact the insurance for an authorization and explain why it needs to be covered. Once they called me asking to contact my insurance to submit an authorization since my existing one expired. I work in a dr office, it's part of our job as a clinic to do that for the patient. Imagine if I don't know that, I wouldn't have a clue what they're talking about. Their clinic is the one that's supposed to handle these auths and contact insurances. Not the patient. I ended up doing it but proved to be a huge waste of time because surprise, I don't have electronic medical records to fax them to request an authorization as a patient. Even if I had ability to request it as a patient, I don't know the proper CPT codes they prefer to use. So stupid. Positives r they do 3D scan. Big tv screen to see your u/s. Thorough analysis of any concerns and babys anatomy, just not explained alot. read more

Doctor karimi! I just want to say thank you for being such a wonderful doctor! You are very skillful and knowledgeable. You did my cerclage stitching at the hospital without any complications. I didn't have to stay overnight and thank you for suggesting it for me to save my baby at 20 weeks. I'm so thankful that my OBGYN sent me to you. You have amazing wonderful patient skill and you are very funny. I was really nervous before the surgery but you make me laugh. Thank you for always answering all my questions. And being so kind to all your patience. You have wonderful staffs who are sweet and nice. Removing a cerclage stitching was really painful, thank you for doing such a fast job. I will definitely miss you since I don't need to come here anymore since I am 37 weeks. I still come here for the NST, which is to check for contractions and fetal heart rate. Non-stress test. Thanks again because I wouldn't have had a cerclage without you suggesting it, you prevent me from having a premature baby at 20 weeks. Doctor is very wonderful because he cares about you, your sleep and your health. You make sure everything is going the way it should be. I was also on Aspirin because he found that I had tight uterine arteries, he also prescribe me sleeping pills that would help me sleep due to insomnia and he suggested some vitamins to promote my pregnancy thank you. I'm definitely recommend this doctor to every pregnant woman /man. (high risk pregnancy) read more

Great doctor! Downside long waits but they allow you to leave and hold your spot so you don't have to sit there waiting an 1 hr plus!

The wait time is incredibly long-anytime from 1-4 hours from appointment time to be seen; however, the wait time is the only downside. Dr. Karimi's expertise and care is the reason I have a healthy baby girl who was borderline SGA throughout the pregnancy due to GD during the first trimester. He acted fast and prescribed insulin the moment he saw my glucose numbers at my first appointment. He followed up with me days after starting insulin and continued to follow up with baby's growth and development. His techs were supportive and thorough. He also referred me to a dietician/nurse to control my sugar levels and collaborated with the nurse on my care. If insulin needed to be increased, he'd respond to her request within hours of the nurses call. My family is forever grateful for the the medical advice and care Dr. Karimi and his staff provided. Our daughter was not SGA at birth and is doing incredibly well according to her pediatrician. Thank you! read more

*There's two different options when you look this Dr office up. I made sure posted to both. The first time we where seen fairly quickly being that we had a last minute appointment that was squeezed in right before they closed. The lack of professionalism baffles my mind. The side conversations they where having amongst each other where loud and obnoxious. It's one thing to have a conversation with your colleague but another to have it while taking vitals from the patient. Doctor and staff have a very careless attitude toward patients. As I sit here during our second visit, I have plenty of time to write this review. We have been here for over 2 hours and still have a couple of people ahead of us. We scheduled our apt 4 weeks ago for no apparent reason. It's loud and warm, which makes for a very uncomfortable stay. I hope that we do NOT have to ever come back here. My wife was waiting for 2 and half hours to see Dr Karimi. The waiting room was full of people and there was no place to sit down. Finally the nurse called and saw her, she was nice and here is Dr Karimi finally showed up and he just said same thing that the nurse told me and left. Maybe he was there 5mins. He just try to squeeze everyone in for his profit reason and He is nothing personal at all. The front desk people is rude and don't know how to speak to people. I was here because I was referred from my OB to see specialist for more ultra sound screening. They take most insurance but if you are HMO then you probably can come here once unless medically necessary. The receptionist here speak to you in Chinese when you look Asian. They talk very fast and not polite. After sign in, they took long time to get you started with forms. The nurses there are very nice. They answer you most of the questions and concerns. But Dr. Karimi is very rush. He came in less then 5 mins and done. Didn't really answer anything. My overall experience with them are ok. But I will prefer to see someone else next time! read more

I get that sometimes the wait can be long but every time it's the same thing! Today I had my appointment at 10:45am so got here and checked in at 10:40am well now it's 12:28PM and I'm still waiting in the lobby, every other woman has also asked the receptionist why is it taking so long. I heard her say the doctor was not even in yet? And two weeks ago we were waiting and he was arriving from lunch? Like why make pregnant, hungry and some even with their little upset kids, women wait for you if you're not even in office? Why over schedule the appointments and just make us wait. If you can find another specialist then try that unless you don't mind being here for 3+ hours. read more

Horrible place. My wife had an appointment at 1:30pm and wasn't seen for almost 6 hours. People coming in and where seen right away. We asked why we haven't been seen yet. They couldn't give us an answer right away until one nurse in the back said they are short staffed. Gonna have our doctor send us somewhere else. It's ridiculous. read more

My first pregnancy and was told to see dr karimi since i am delivering at sg hospital. The reason was to see a dietician for my gestational diabetes but ended up with tons of detailed scans from the doctor and a lot of medications,labs, blood works and nst every week. They seem to keep finding things wrong with me every time i go. I got all the testing and scans and ended up not having a problem at all besides what i came here for. The wait time for this office is atleast 1.5hours to 2 hours. Front desk staff dont seem to be happy about their job. The worst is the "sales person" karen who PUSHED the diabetic testing kit on me, she probably got a load of commission for that. The pharmacy she recommended is horrible and dont answer their phone. Do NOT take the accucheck machine from them just get your presciption which she told me i am not allowed to get if i take her advice and go thru with her pharmacy called mini pharmacy in la. Theres a ton of patients there waiting for their nst and its all numbers to them. I overheard the nurse talk about how i can get this and that for example blood test because i got ppo. The whole office just reminds me of how money driven and hungry the medical system is. The only nurse that is actually caring and i had a good experience with is tiffany. Bad bedside manners from some the other nurses and just overall shoving pills down my thoart. The dr loves to give baby asprin to his patients. They just see you as a number and money signs. Giving me blood tests and scans and bills to pay from labcorp and co pay every week for nst. Just so we can come back wait 2 hours and pay them. All my tests came back negative and all i got from this experience is a lot of unessassary stress. They try and purposly find every little thing wrong with you so you can come back and get more scans and tests so they can get money from insurance companies. I hate that i came here for my scans. I wish i had gone elsewhere. Please research a better place before stepping foot in this place. read more
