Dr Lee, The nurse practitioners and the nurses are very friendly and patient! If you are patient and well mannered towards them they will go above and beyond for you! I experienced that myself! Dr. Lee and the staff are very friendly. Him and his staff do their best to see patients. I also think that the doctor is honest/straightforward and maybe not a lot of people are used to it but the straightforwardness leads to better routine, results and outcomes. He's also funny! It can be busy due to the many people who want to see him and the nurse practitioner. I have four stars because the wait is a lot BUT it is worth it. I also noticed that they do take walk ins. Appointments are done by the phone or after a visit. He's booked cause he's a great doctor and the staff are too, I usually tell them it's okay regarding the wait but when I get checked in and weighed in, they're super friendly. It is a bit hard to have long conversations with them because of the many people that go but I don't fault them for that. I have been calling the office and they have transferred me to multiple personal and refused to have me talk to dr lee himself. I got the names GRACE and LISA. Whoever was working 102425 and 102525. They were the ones who neglected me. Placed me on hold for over 30 minutes. I had to drive myself to the clinic just to settle my problems. Their billing/financial office is claiming that there was a bill from 4 years ago that was not paid! And this was the first time someone reached out! How incompetent do you have to be to wait 4 years to reach out to a patient! I asked to have someone follow up but no one did! I have been trying to reach someone since last month! And instead of helping I overheard them laughing at me that the amount was not worth the trouble! They even call security on me! Then finally this woman on the photo came out and was telling that it was settled! I waited 2 hours outside the office and never updated me about it! I asked for the receipt and took the 10-15 minutes to hand it to me. It was a blessing they called security because they were witnesses how incompetent and slow the staff was. Dangerous. This doctor is evil and nefarious. This doctor won't genuinely cure you. He will keep you sick and continue taking his medication. He is not treating you as a patient. He is treating you as a walking ATM. The first thing the office ask you is what kind of insurance do you have. Their office is running a business and you are a walking wallet to them. He charges $250 for 1st time visit and you will only get 3 minutes of of his time. Other doctors offices only charges around $75.00. He charges 3.5x as much. Even a Urgent Care only charges $150.00. He lied to me that my condition won't improve and told me to take the medication continuously. He won't educate you on how to improve your health. I didn't even get to speak to him for 3 minutes and he left to another room for another patient. When I was rushed out of the office, i ask the front desk lady can I ask the doctor another question. The doctor supposed to answer questions the patient have. Not just sign our name on the sign in sheet and he gets paid. Never come back again. he will also push you to take all kinds of vaccines. The more vaccines he gives the more money he will get. This doctor is also a drug pusher. He even have a glass case that advertised certain medications. I called yesterday at ~6:30 pm which was a Friday and was told they're closed but was then informed this "urgent care" facility closes at 1pm on Saturday. I also made sure to check whether I needed an appointment and was told to just show up. So why I did make arrange my plans according the information I was provided, only to sit in traffic only to show up with a big red sign that said this "after hours" facility is closed? This place gets 1 star for someone picking up my phone calls (even if it's another service picking up my calls and even if Yelp doesn't allow zero stars.) What kind of urgent care "after hours" medical facility does NOT open after hours? Don't try to hustle for more patients and money when this isn't the type of service you provide. Your 3 hours you may make yourself available doesn't make you an after hours facility. Yelp states that this place closes at noon, which maybe they do close at noon, but I showed up minutes after. Get rid of your sign and provide accurate information so your staff and operator service can give accurate information to people. Why does the sign say close at 10 pm on Friday when I told told over the phone that it was closed when I called around 6:30 pm yesterday? This damn place is a waste of time and they need to get rid of the "urgent walk in care is available as a courtesy" off their signage. Don't go telling my HMO you're urgent care facility when it's not because I got no damn care. I've been going for the same issues to this doctor(lee)for the last couple of years.And still don't have a proper diagnosis.I have swollen lymph nodes on my neck and possibly a UTI.(NoDiseases)A year ago he prescribed me some Antibiotics which did nothing.I went back to him,this month with exactly the same issues.He prescribed me the same antibiotics and referred me to a surgeon.To test for cancer.I noticed that my blood work and urine analysis,where from over a year ago.I called the office asking if I can speak to my doctor:/to request current blood work and urine analysis so I could have it ready for the surgeon.The office told me,I have to go back in and see him to ask for my request.I told them it was the same issue and I just wanted to get current testing done.I also asked to speak to my doctor doctor(Lee).Their reply was and I qoute,the doctor said he will never call you.You need to come in.This doctor obviously does not care about patients and only for insurance money.I do not recommend anybody to go here. He had to leave at 430 and I had the misfortune of being his last patient, AKA the last obstacle between him and his getaway. Waited an hour to see him for literally 2-3 minutes where he admitted "there's nothing we can do for you," and didn't suggest anything else until I took the initiative to ask him for a referral to a specialist since he's clearly out of his depth. This experience has taught me to NEVER believe what Yelp reviewers say...Did anyone think to mention that Dr. Lee's practice is not only extremely poorly organized but had the atmosphere of a third world clinic? How could everyone give 5 stars when I ended up trying to leave and then crying when they refused? ?? First of all, I had an appointment and still had to wait 2 hours. This may be typical in the E.R. with no insurance but not for me and especially not when I feel like crap. I saw people that walked in well after me get seen before me. Finally I went to reception and asked for my co-pay back. *BTW- Isn't it illegal to collect co-pay before service? The woman said she'd be right back and never returned. Immediately and magically my name was called. Once I got through the first door, I explained to the nurse that I could not wait any longer and wanted to leave if the "Dr." wasn't ready. Of course she told me I was next. Since I had been sitting for so long I needed to urinate and asked where the bathroom was. It was not well maintained and they had DISH soap on the bathroom sink for my hands. Ridiculous. I then continued to wait in this second room (which also had DISH soap for the "Dr.'s" hands) for another half hour. During that time an old man fell in the bathroom and screamed for a bit before someone assisted him. But I digress. "Dr." Lee finally hovered outside my exam room as he thought over the "chili dog or chili cheeseburger" dinner option his nurse had given him. After choosing a chili-dog over the burger, he was finally ready to "see" me. I know I'm going heavy on the quotes but I can't use the actual meaning of the words in good faith. Anyways, after letting me repeat my symptoms to him, he said "It's painful, huh?". Oh...MY...GOD!!!!!!!!! He then quickly wrote up a bunch of expensive panel work which i HAD told him I had already done 3 months ago. Now am I to assume I give off the impression that I would need a full STD screening every 3 months? Of course all the paperwork was for local similar god awful places. I told him I couldn't do it that day because I had already waited two and half hours. "Two and A Half Hours!?" he said.. then laughed and stated "It's like that here every day". Maybe other people are willing to wait this long because THEY get outstanding service, but I didn't. And I doubt that old man on the toilet had a good experience either. read more

Lee is a businessman with bad ethics, he is not a good doctor. He's not good at diagnostics. I changed doctors after he prescribed me the WRONG medicine, which I took for a month. I had nose bleeds, night sweats, and lowered immune system after he prescribed the wrong medication. My issue got cleared up instantly with another doctor. Lee rushes and doesn't care to listen to what you have to say. He starts writing prescriptions way before you finish explaining the problem. Also, even if your blood test results come back normal, they call you in just to charge you a second time for telling you its normal- which takes less than 10 secs...like my time is not valuable. Not only that, he never bothers to call back when my pharmacist called him about some discrepancies. This doctor only cares about $$$. Friendly staff, awesome NPs here. Every time I see Dr. Lee he is very caring and knowledgeable. Yes sometimes there may be a wait time if you have no appointment, but other doctor's offices do not accept walk-ins even if It is for a minor cold. Dr. Terry Lee has been my family doctor since I was wee-little. He is the funniest and most charismatic doctor you will ever meet. Even though you make an appointment to see him, there is still a wait because there are that many people that love being his patient. He has a strong passion for being a mentor to other doctors who are getting his/her residency. Every year, he plans a trip for all of his staff to go on a vacation. A few years ago, they all went to Hawaii. That shows he really does care about all his associates. He has adopted a few children and put all of them through colleges. He's just a great human being. He knows my family on a first name basis and till this day, he always asks me why my mom doesnt come along with me to my visits. (I think he still believes I'm 10.) He jokes around like no other. He's the one that has put shots on my butt because I dont have enough meat on my arms. He's the one that told me to "suck it up" because I didnt know how to swallow pills till I was 16 years old. I hope he never retires because I want my children and my children's children to see him only. read more

I love Dr. Lee. I've been going there for the past 10+ years. I like doctors that takes their time with their patients, explaining the stituation and finding a solution. He would always answers each and every one of my questions. Who does that these days? I've know doctors that makes you sit and ask couple of questions and move you right along... I keep calling this location and they NEVER answer the phone. It keeps sending me to doctors exchange and I was told I just have to keep repeat calling until it connects. Like okay??? At least set up a queue for calls? When I do walk in the wait times are around 4-5 hours, but how can I make an appointment when the call does not even connect? Even with an appointment, it is an hour wait and they only allow 1 issue to be addressed per appointment. I just don't know what to say. I feel like my primary care doctor is going on vacation every other month right now and each time, I get sent to see Dr. Lee. Okay, so realistically it's only been twice. But based on my experience, I don't understand the hate the guy is getting. He's alright and kinda funny at that. I feel like I should state my medical credentials or something before I get attacked but please know that I'm a pro at getting sick and visiting the doctor. I hate that I can't get a same day appointment with Dr. Lee, which is why he will never be my primary care doctor, but I can see him for urgent care if I want to wait in his waiting room for anywhere from 30 min - 2 hours which is eh. I came in the first time with an upper respiratory infection, he gave me magical antibiotics that helped but the cough medicine didn't do anything for me. In fact, I feel like it made it worst but the antibiotics did its thing that I healed up that much faster. The second time I had the flu and mentioned to him that the last cough medication he gave me was terrible and he gave me something that worked much better. He gives me the meds I need, I take them and I get better. He listens to me and he's fairly entertaining. If he had same day appointments I'd probably give him 4 stars, but he doesn't so 3 stars he gets. read more

Was told to visit this "urgent care" by my insurance plan. When I arrived the receptionist told me they don't take walk ins...this was the 3rd urgent care I'd visited today bc of insurance issues so I wasn't pleased and made that known. I was then told the dr could see me. I waited an hour, which is fine, it's urgent care. During this hour I saw many people come in and out, mostly older and few following distancing procedures. All dirty pens were put back in the clean pens holder (my car wash does a better job) chairs in the waiting room are not socially distanced. When I was able to see the dr. He was clearly trying to make the situation light and I wasn't in the mood. I told him about an issue I had on the right side of my head and he pointed to my left. He asked if I was having issues with "poo poo and pee pee" I'm a 31 year old woman. He brought me a pill with ice tea and when I asked what it was he said "headache pill" he did not ask if I was on other medication and the pill handed to me was not over the counter, it was white and had a Watson label on it. I didn't take the pill. He told me I needed a CT scan and a "brain dr" when I asked if I'd be getting a referral for those things he laughed and said no this is just urgent care. He then left the room and I broke into tears out of frustration. The nurse was extremely uncomfortable and tried to call the dr back in. He didn't come back. I then took my prescription to the pharmacy onsite (also extremely dirty) I took the prescribed medication as directed at home and had an intense reaction. I called a teledoc professional through my insurance and was told that I was prescribed the maximum dosage of this medication and that that wasn't normal for someone who's never taken it before. I haven't been there for years but I do like Terry Lee as a Doctor. I used t have insurance when I was under the age of 18. Then when my insurance was up I had to pay cash. He asked what happened to my insurance and always gave me a discount. when he wrote me prescriptions that were just too expensive, I would go back to him and he would give me samples so I wouldn't have to pay for them. When I needed refills, I would call and talk to him and he would have samples ready for me at the front dest to pick up. I haven't been to the Doctors for a while, but I think I will go back for a check up. read more

If you're looking for stories about his curing fevers, compassionately sticking needles, or mentoring me ever since I was yea high, move on. I want to talk about other things. I actually haven't been seeing TLee for very long. I've in fact only been there once, but he's my official doctor (so says the Blue Cross card). The only reason my mom and I go to TLee is that my mom is familiar with all the doctors in the Garfield Medical Center system (TLee's offices are right across the street from the hospital), and she told me that he was one of the biggest pushover GPs out there. Which is a good thing, believe me. She knows what she's talking about but can't write prescriptions, and a lot of medicine is either very cut and dry or completely without answer, so he basically does what we ask of him. The strange thing, though, is that the first time I went, I went WITH my mother, who was there really so that she could get a chemical-loaded face cream for a bad allergic reaction. Since it was my first time there, he decided to run for me the usual blood tests and gave me a CHLAMYDIA test preemptively. Woohoo as good as it gets!! And then he asked me (or us, since I was really there to meet him informally and to accompany the parent) whether there was anything I had issues with. What? And then he said, "Well, your mom's here, so I don't really expect an answer." I almost threw his clipboard and cheap pen at him, but I can't fault him for trying humor and his best to give my mom ideas. For the record, I only go to this doctor and not the doctor I've had for 15 years (I actually don't get sick very often... or, at all) because the other was a pediatrician who basically lost 'jurisdiction' when I hit eighteen. read more

Great Urgent Care services! I often see DR. Lee when I have a cold. I usually give them a call right when they open and they tell me when to go as a walk in. The wait time is usually minimal. If I had to wait I still wouldn't mind. I'm great full enough just to be seen by the doctor. My pcp does not take walk ins. The girls at the front desk are very nice and welcoming. Dr. Lee always knows what to prescribe when I see him. He has a great attitude and cares for his patients. I had to write a review because I couldn't understand all the bad reviews he had. One star is too much for him~! After accidentally saw his Yelp reviews today, I cannot calm my emotion but to write a few sentences. Lee should not be an MD because he does deserve to be called "Dr." As matter of fact, he is not ethically and morally qualified for the respectful title. Theoretically speaking, his medical license should be revoked by American Family Physician Association. He is probably the worst MD I have ever encountered in the Western world, period! My family of seven including my parents was all his patients 10 years ago when I was still in graduate school. None of us had a good experience with him and particularly his rude staffs in the front desk. There is an old say: what kind of subordinators means what kind of boss they have! Lee is an ABC (American Born Chinese) and most of his front desk staffs were also ABC gals who were extremely rude and disrespectful to Asian patients. Ironically, should I call it a racist clinic, I am not sure since they were Chinese? I remember a famous quote from the cheap Lee, "I can only see one problem per visit." Yes, patients normally wait two to three hours and he only sees you no more than five minutes for one medical issue. Is it worth of my time? 100% negative! A few years late, I told the terrible experience to some of my colleagues and friends, they were all shocked and disbelieved what I described. If you see this post, do you still want to visit him? Yes, he does see HMO patients, so what! There are many better MD out there who see HMOs. Don't be cheap on you and your loved ones. We have only one life. Lee is a lousy and cheap salesman! Been here twice, both for urgent care service. The other urgent care I've always gone to was closed and this is the next closest one. 1st visit - waited less than an hour after arriving for a walk-in, saw an NP, staff was generally nice, NP explained what my condition was, prescribed meds, and left. Neither impressed nor upset. 2nd visit - nearly 2 hour wait for a walk-in, saw Dr. Lee for literally less than 3 minutes. Wait time was frustrating but bearable considering how busy they were, but the interaction with Dr. Lee made it so NOT worth it. I tried to explain what happened/my issue (e.g., pain). He very loudly scoffed and laughed when I winced in pain as he did a check-up. Then he said I'm fine, and tried to walked out of the room - without explanation of what I had. As he was halfway out the door, he said it would take 6 weeks to heal. I asked why and he said, "It's inflamed!" And he walked away..... Um ok, thanks for the explanation doc. The nurse who was also in the room stayed with me after this to finish charting & explain what I had and was empathizing with my pain. I would literally give 0 stars for this place if I could. I called in to get my test results and they told me I had to come in because the doctor won't give results over the phone. What a scam! I'm not about to pay another copay just for someone to read a fucking paper. Usually they call you and give you results over the phone. I selected Dr. Lee as my PCP almost 10 years ago. TBH my first impression was that he's very nice, helpful, funny, and knows his stuff. He's a very good Dr. My wife actually saw him the 1st year (before selecting her own Dr) and he was able to diagnose and explain an issue she had been having for several years, that no other Dr seemed to be able to explain. That alone impressed both of us. As a knowledgeable and good Dr, I would give him a 5 star... but of course, there is more to it. So the 4 stars here is specifically for Dr. Lee and the family practice portion (via appointments)... perhaps even 5 stars if he was more available. Over the years I've seen his office get busier and busier and many of the complaints people have may be warranted. However, I'm not going to fault the office if people disagree with their policies and I'm not going to fault the Dr (completely) on how his office staff, nurses, internists, or NPs are. Granted customer service is taught from the top down, but how the office is run in general may be a result of the staff he's decided to hire to manage it for him, but I've experienced some of the changes and pains over the years. My insurance is an HMO, so I've always dealt with waits and going to his office was no different. I can't recall if the office always offered urgent care when I first started seeing him, but I feel like that wasn't always offered or it became way more popular(and busier) like 6-7 years ago. So his office is really busy most of the time. If you've ever gone to an urgent care... you also understand there is always a wait and this office is probably even worse for urgent care walk-ins. Offering urgent care gives you some flexibility to go to his office w/o an appt (with HMO, sometimes you'll wait 3-4 weeks before getting an appt with the Dr... maybe faster if you're open to seeing the NP or another Dr he may have employed at that time). Dr. Lee is not there every day... I can't say for certain, but I feel like he's only there a few days of the week. If you don't have an appt and you go as a walk-in, you can expect to wait a few hours and will likely be seen by the NP and/or an internist (I would bet you would very rarely see Dr. Lee on an urgent care visit). They even have a sign posted for walk-in/urgent care patients warning of a potentially lengthy wait. Unlike dedicated urgent cares, this place office will be even busier, because they are seeing scheduled patients AND walk-ins (with limited urgent care hours). So if you plan to walk-in for urgent care, maybe just get there before they even open and if you want to ensure you are seen arrive at least 3 hours before they close. I would also suggest to anyone that after you sign-in, you should still check back with the staff to get a status update. If I'm concerned about time or convenience I normally go to another Urgent Care closer to where I currently live. In general, I've never had an issue with the front desk people's customer service or them not answering the phone... I'm not a big fan of the whole come back in to go cover lab results... I do agree that they should make it easier for patients. So in general, I would give the office staff 3.5 stars... If the office was only a family practice office maybe I'd even give the office staff 4 stars. However, when you combine a family practice with urgent care... you risk bringing down the quality of care/service in general for either a family practice or an urgent care facility. It's hard to do both well and for patients to distinguish there is a difference between the two. As just an urgent care facility, I might rate it just 2.5 stars based on the increased wait times, limited hours, and in general, you're likely going to be seen by the NP and not Dr. Lee. So I wouldn't expect calls from Dr. Lee or to speak to him unless you actually saw him. In conclusion, I guess it you want a combined rating for both the family practice AND urgent care... I guess I'd rate it 3 to 3.5 stars overall. I think Dr. Lee is worth seeing if you don't mind scheduling appointments 3-4 weeks out and don't mind waiting, a little, even when you arrive at your appt on time... but it's very rare IMO to not encounter some sort of wait for any doctor's office. read more

This place would go towards the bottom on my recommendation list. Weird policy on PPO's and explained poorly. They just point to a sign. Nurse practitioner is a bit condescending and doesn't know how to spell 'wrist'. Long lines. I've only seen the actual Doctor once in 3 visits. Inaccurate notes. Didn't even know I was a smoker or how long I was on a certain medication when I told them the previous visit. Some of the employees are pretty nice but not enough to get me to come back. read more

If you are looking for a loving caring family doctor, pls look somewhere else. You won't have much eye contact with him as he was busy writing description when you were still talking about the symptom. Last time i had a stomach problem, he didn't even ask me what i ate or how bad i felt, he just asked me to do the liquid diet- which you are not allowed to eat the whole day and just take antibiotic. I tried to tell him it's too much for me as my job was physically demanding. He didn't say a word. when I went to the pharmacy, even the pharmacist said I should eat some food for taking the antibiotic. I ended up throw away the medicine, just ate light food and fully recovered in few days. read more
