What a difference a year makes. This has been our go to for quite sometime, but now they've branched out and built another location in Branson. It appears the people left in charge now are not the same as before. The food quality has taken a drastic decline. Was surprised this morning, when we arrived just before 10 for breakfast. We were told that the wait would be 45 minutes. When I asked why their answer was, "when people order food the wait gets longer" another employee shouted from the back, "and breakfast takes longer" Even with distancing the place was not half full. Interesting little place! A gas station converted into a sit-in restaurant, with outside seating available. The convenience store element is still in operation as well, with drinks, supplies, and snacks still for purchase. Upon entering, orders can be placed at the counter, and food is brought out to your table. We had pancakes, a breakfast burrito, and a French toast sandwich. Everything was good, but nothing stood out as better than another breakfast joint. Coffee is self serve at the drink island (the same as it would be at a gas station), which took us a while to figure out. Warm syrup and condiments are set up on the island as well. Stopped by for the Famous Banana Split. But they had been so good there were no more bananas left this late on weekend. Had to "settle" for Turtle Sundae on Sunday. Heavens-to-Betsy it was good! And big. And good and big and cold. We dined outside and it is a nice 87° with coolish breeze. Butterscotch syrup on whipped cream, laced with hot fudge to the bottom and perfect roasted pecans. Saved the Maraschino Cherry till mid-way through.....one has to learn to pace one's self. Got a mini-brain freeze 1/2 thru so need to re-pace. The Mo heat melted the frozen custard in the bottom but when swirled with the now cooled hot fudge and pecans the brew became a nectar of the Gods. I am satiated for a bit, but now longing for the BS. Will return. read more

My wife heard about this place on Facebook and wanted to go. I couldn't imagine going there to eat as I knew the place (I thought). To my surprise the place I knew had been torn down and a new building stood in its place. It has burgers, BBQ and breakfast. If you ever eat there once it will be a regular destination place to go eat. Keep in mind this is a convenience store / gas station / grill with Inside and outside seating. Originally stopped by this new c-store because my truck was thirsty for some ethanol free gas. As I walked in to pay, I notice a nice big clean, new kitchen and asked "what's for dinner"? The pretty gal behind the counter suggested their special that day...a crab salad sandwich with Provolone on some sort of pita looking bread. She gave me a sample taste of the crab salad, it was very tasty, so I told her to fire me one up! The sandwich was extremely good and they also grilled me up some fresh squash and cucumber as a healthy side option instead of the fries. Looks like the owner has big plans for a nice RV park, pool, etc., next door...should really be a good spot once completed. I will be back... read more
