The first thing that hit me was the appearance - looked like a diner out of the 1950's. And it got better from there! The menu is pure Americana. Burgers. Dogs. Chili. Shakes. Malts. The single burger is 1/2lb and loaded with toppings. I couldn't quite finish it. They have awards for best burger in Branson from 2018 thru 2024. I had one and they are well deserved. I love the off season in Branson. We went to Billy Bob's Dairyland last night and got right in without waiting for a table. I ordered a double cheeseburger and tater tots, my wife had a single with tater tots and my daughter had a chicken sandwich with onion rings. Our meals came right off the griddle so everything was both hot and fresh. The hamburger patties are thick more like homemade. At least at our home. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Of the places i have visited in and around Branson it is the best burger place in town. The waitresses have been there for years and it is just so nostalgic. The restaurant was cute enough, but the service and food was seriously lacking. Our server took our order and never came back. Food was delivered by the only other server in the place. I had to go find someone in the kitchen for a refill. I saw the original server a couple times but she wasn't really helping her other tables either. Also, food was nothing special. Hamburger was weirdly thick and greasy, so much so that all I could taste was grease. Similarly, the fries and tater tots tasted only of grease. read more

This might be the best hidden gem in burger mastery in Branson. 1/2 lb hand-pattied burger with crisp vegetables and a thick slice of tomato. Server was fantastic. Fun little place on the strip, good burger and friendly people. Would certainly eat here again. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is that while friendly our waitress never brought her bout drinks, not the end of the world but we were literally the only people in there . The burger itself, is a good tasting burger used...with a good touch of salt. Patty Melt: Again, a good patty melt representation. Tots: You get the salt on these and they're a great tot. They did good (in) getting a better cook on the tots. Chili: (Not) my favorite as I recall. Yes, I've eaten boatloads of chili in my life. So...There are better choices. We went here 9-years ago on a recommendation from a local. That time it was a diner by a gas station. They have a new modern location on the 76 strip but not a whole lot more seating than our first trip. The place was packed ... our options were to wait for a table, sit at the counter or a table with stool seating . The manager wanted to make sure the stools weren't too high for my wife. The burgers were thick and juicy. The fries were a crinkle cut that were cooked more like a shoestring cut. The wife loved her orange freeze shake. It is cash or check only, no credit cards. There is an ATM if you need cash. We waited for our check until a server told us it was already at checkout. Hopefully it won't be another 9 years before we make it back read more

This was a cute diner with very friendly staff. We figured we'd give it a try. The food was fine, nothing special. The bun was toasted well, the burger came out hot, the meat was good but not anything special. Something I could definitely make at home. The fries were pretty terrible. Tasted like they had been over blanched. They were cold, no flavor and a little soggy. Even adding salt couldn't save these. Better fries, some sort of seasoning or a fry sauce would go a long way. I wouldn't return based on the quality of food or the experience overall. We did not expect to wait an hour for our table of 4 at 7:30. We ordered cheeseburgers and fries, that's all. Little to no food came out during this hour, the staff did not tell us if there was an issue in the kitchen or if there was a problem. Not a single person came to ask if we needed anything either. We never found out what the hold up was but someone did apologize for the long wait. To make it worse, the place was fairly full when we got there, but 30 minutes later everyone was gone beside us and 2 other tables. Still, we had to wait another 30 minutes. What really was the icing on the cake was the fact that a party of 10 sat down by us 50 minutes into the waiting process, they had shakes and food but all of theirs came before we were even done eating. My husband and I like going to diners and this one did not disappoint. It's a cute little diner that looks like it's from the 50's. When we got there there were plenty of tables, but by the time we finished they were packed. Very popular place to eat. They only accept cash or checks, no credit cards. They do have an ATM on site if you don't have cash, I got a burger and fries. The burger was huge and really juicy. It was so hot it was hard to hold, I was so full from the burger I ate very few fries. The fries could have been cooked a little longer. I prefer really crispy fries and these were soft. They tasted good just not crispy enough for me. My husband started with a banana shake. He loved it. Lots of banana flavor. He then got a Frito chili pie for lunch. He assumed it would be small. It was also big. He said he probably wouldn't eat it all since he wasn't very hungry, he ended up eating all of it because it was so good. The staff were amazing, very fast and friendly. This is such a fun diner! We not only enjoyed their delicious food, but had a great time! We started with shakes which were delicious. We were there with another couple and they shared a peanut butter shake and my husband and I enjoyed an orange shake. Both fantastic. I had their cheeseburger and it was hot and tasty, diner style. My husband had the patty melt and loved it. Our two friends got the sausage dogs and said they were fantastic. We ended the meal with fried pies. I had strawberry rhubarb and my husband had the apple and both were amazing. Next time I would definitely try the coconut or butter scotch. The service could not have been better. I give it 5/5 stars when comparing it to other diners. The food was all good for what you would expect at a place like this. We would definately return, if just for the fried pies. read more
