    Hand breaded fried chicken sandwich
    Kim M.

I love finding great road trip food - burger, shack, dairy Lane or diner. Burger shack is a little gem. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which they hand bread and prepare fresh in front of you. The two guys working and cooking were very friendly and I was out the door To-Go in less than 10 minutes. Great sandwich!

Where do I even start!!! It was my first time visiting this adorable little burger joint, and the owners were absolutely welcoming and so helpful and kind!!!! Sitting with them made you feel like you known them for many years. But let's get to the food!!! I had the Hawaiian burger and fried mushrooms my momma had the shack burger and fries. The Hawaiian burger is a 10/10. Pineapple doesn't belong on a pizza but it definitely belongs on this burger and that sauce was just heavenly!!! And as for my momma and her burger it was the first time I got nothing but then too good to talk but just listen to how amazing it is sounds!!!! The prices are very fair for always fresh never frozen!!! I'd actually pay more just because the quality is amazing!!! Now for the ambiance of this adorable shack I love it!!!! It has a built in little dinning outside which I love, it gives such a cozy downtown lunch feel with your friends. If you are thinking of eating here don't walk RUN!!!!

Stopped in at 7:55pm and seen they closed in 5 minutes, so didnt figure they would want to wait on us. But the young man that turned out to be the owner opened us with oped arms! The service and the fresh made Burgers were way above average. He made us very happy we stopped in out of the blue and will be going back. Btw im a big man and could not eat a triple and fries.

Edit. Restaurant is under new ownership and it much better than it used to be. The pork tenderloin sandwich is the best.

My husband was satisfied from the pork tenderloin sandwich, and with my gluten intolerance they made a philly steak plate for me.

I don't believe the temperature on their fryer was correct because fries were horrible with grease and undercook. I cut into my sandwich and the entire middle was raw chicken, not a spot but the whole breast. I took the food back to the kitchen and they said they would make a new sandwich. that sandwich came out with the smallest piece of chicken and so over cooked the breaded coating was a hard shell. my husbands hamburger was tasteless and he had the same overly greasy fries. so disappointed as I wanted to try out a cute restaurant located on a landing strip. will not be going back.

When we asked about it, we were told the whiteboard price reflected inflation, but it was a little confusing since the menu hadn't been updated. Also, the pie didn't have meringue on the entire piece, which was a bit disappointing. The chicken from the bar wasn't up to temperature (although the fish was), and the hamburger was very dry and had a cardboard-like texture. I personally found most of the food to be overly salty, but that may just be my preference. We also noticed the customers ahead of us returned their chicken sandwich because it was undercooked. That said, the atmosphere was fantastic--watching the plane take off was a really cool experience! We also appreciated being sent home with drinks to go, and our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu.

I had the ono Hawaiian burger that had two good size juicy delish hamburger patties, a pineapple ring and secret kahuna sauce that tasted sort of like a sweet bbq to me. Very good and very filling! Choices for sides we all chose the onion rings. Thin cut light tempura type breading, VERY GOOD! also very filling as you get a pile of them! I want to try other things so will definitely be back! They have Coke products which is a big plus for me and our family! My wife wasn't as hungry so she got three sliders HOWEVER, the sliders had double patties too so each slider was big! And also very tasty! I haven't tried the chicken sandwiches or the wings so I don't know how they are and I may not get to them either because the burger was SO good! I may keep trying the burgers when I return.

First of all, the bar height only tables are not conducive to bringing small kids to a restaurant. The adults were nervous trying to make sure they didn't fall off the bar height chairs. I had the burger with the egg on it. Loved everything about this burger. Both burger and egg cooked perfectly. Wife had the Hawaiian burger, which she thought was delicious. Brother-in-law had the burger with the mac and cheese with the mac and cheese on the side; he absolutely raved about the mac and cheese. For appetizers, we bought the pepperjack bites and the spicy green beans. The green beans were fabulous, although I would have enjoyed dipping them in a spicier ranch than regular ranch, although it was very good ranch. We all ordered the french fries and onion rings with our dishes. All of us agreed both the rings and the fries were on the greasy side. I think the greasiness of the fries is what gave my stomach some issues later. The bartender who took care of me paying the bill was very nice. Big, welcoming, friendly smile; pleasant attitude and communication. The service industry needs more people like this guy. Would definitely try this place again to try something else on their vast menu. Might have to not eat for about two days so I can try the double patty hamburger with the fried chicken in the middle of the sandwich. Or their fried peanut butter and jelly. Or wings with their multitude of flavors of sauces and spices.

I'm so glad I took their advice, the buns were soft and buttery, the meat patties were flavorful and moist. We also ordered you are smokin' fries. Apple and hickory smokes fries, loaded w/ sautéed jalapeños, cheese sauce, and we opted the pulled pork with Chipotle bbq. The fries were a hit at our table! Waygu burgers, sign me up! I end up ordering the foodie - double 4oz patties, Boursin style cheese, caramelized onion, candied bacon, w/ truffle mayo. Best damn burger I had in a long time. They offer varieties of sauces to try with your burger & fries, they bring a small tray with each sauce. Ranch, ketchup, smoky garlic mayo, chipotle BBQ, chipotle ketchup, truffle mayo, and sriracha mayo just to name a few. I'm a sucker for espresso so I ordered an espresso yourself shake. Espresso, salted caramel, funnel cake, coffee liqueur, frozen vanilla custard. The espresso and salted caramel balance each other out nicely. This shake lives rent free in my head. If I am ever in the city again, this would be on my top list to visit. Definitely would recommend you trying Black Sheep.

Great Breakfast Spot!…read more I'll start by admitting--I'm not usually a breakfast person. I like it fine, but I'd often rather wait until lunch to start eating for the day. We stopped here on our way back to Tulsa from Branson, and I'm so glad we did! My son had the pancake platter, which he absolutely loved. But the real star? The breakfast sliders. Oh my goodness--these are the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bread is perfect--fluffy on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside. I chose the sausage (bacon and ham are also options), and it was delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the cheese paired beautifully. You get two sliders per plate and can choose your side bread item--I went with the house potatoes, which were seasoned perfectly and had the same delightful fluffy-yet-crispy texture as the bread. I could only eat one slider myself and brought the other home for my husband--he texted me the next morning saying it was just as amazing. Our waitress (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) was so kind and welcoming. The place is small and charmingly decorated, adding to the cozy vibe. All in all, we had the best breakfast. This is definitely a must-stop and a place I'll recommend to anyone traveling this way. Highly recommend!
