I enjoy going here for walks and jogs. I forget how long of a trail it is for walking/ jogging/ bicycling purposes but either way, it is enjoyable. They have BBQ grills and picnic areas, benches, fields for baseball and soccer, a basketball court and some complimentary exercising (gym) equipment for anyone who would like to use it. The park has easy (multiple) access points and although, certain parking areas can get busy during nice weather days, you have other parking options nearby. There are multiple restroom areas in the park. Pets (dogs to be exact) are allowed for a walk. You get pretty views of sunsets from here over the small lake that's there as the area is scenic. I go here occasionally for either exercising or just to get my mind of things as I find this place relaxing and chill. Check this park out if you haven't been here before. It's worth the visit.

I have been given dirty looks, ignored, disrespected, not allowed to bring my coffee in, and given incorrect change back at both the store and bar. For the $ paid to get in that place I should be allowed to bring my own coffee in. Or if you are going to rip me off at the store or bar then don't complain that I want to bring my own drink in instead of attempt to buy from your facility. Also for the $ paid to get in they need to keep the place up. It is dirty, garbage laying every where, bathrooms are disgusting, and the floors and fields need some replacing. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

There is an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and character, all taught within the context of learning the skills of the sport. The practices are well-organized and well-run. Kraig oversees the program and communicates well with parents and makes a strong effort to accommodate families' needs. I highly recommend NVA for young kids starting out trying new sports.

My son has participated in baseball, soccer, basketball and summer camp. The coaches are patient, kind, respectful while teaching the foundations of the game. Sportsmanship, team building and foundational skills are the focus. This has been a great environment for my son to learn each sport and really has allowed him to build a passion for each sport he has played. I cannot say enough about the coaches. Coach Kraig, Coach George, as well as all the other coaches we have had between all the sports have been focused and positive. They build a positive environment in which each child can build confidence. My son is always learning something from each game/skills session/camp day and is always so excited to play. Coach Kraig is in charge of the program and really gets to know the kids, the parents, and puts in extra effort to make sure things run smoothly. He communicates well and is prompt to reply to questions as they arise. We trust him whole-heartedly and will continue participating with such a nice organization for our son and eventually our daughter. He is a great role model for our kids.

Once inside, there are slides for children, teens, and adults. I saw plenty of lifeguards and life jackets, ensuring everyone's safety. The bathrooms are reasonably clean, with private showers. There are plenty of chairs for everyone to lounge in after leaving the water. The facility is family friendly.

However, once we got here, I just didn't want to deal with huge crowds. I used my Yelp app and found this hidden gem! It was not crowded at all. It was likely all local families. This was probably my favorite day of the vacation. We hung out for a few hours and this really nice aquatic center and then stopped at Jewel on the way back to the hotel and picked up some food -had a picnic back in the room. A really nice venue -I'm sure much nicer than crazy Key Lime Cove (who wants to be indoors on a beautiful summer day?) I felt like I was truly on vacation at a luxury resort. Funny what 35 miles out of the city can do for your spirit!

Had to share about our unfortunate experience with camp this summer. My son is five and came home…read morepractically in tears both days he attended. The camp allows a wide range of ages to participate and not enough staff to support. My son has not had exposure to every sport or game that was played. There was very little coaching that happened. My son was left feeling left out, talked of having to sit out multiple occasions during games such as dodgeball where kids twice his size were pelting him with balls. They also had a rewards system that was never explained to my son. There is no hand off at pick, and poor communication in general about daily activities-- one of the days he attended they were to do water activities which is why we signed up, but didn't. I messaged staff about missing camp one day and never got a response. After that we just stopped attending and we're never out reached by the coaches. Very disappointing experience and would not recommend for younger kids or any kid that is new to a sport.

The cost of renting the venue was much more in line with our budget than others we researched, especially considering we needed a space for 300 people. It's in a beautiful forest preserve setting, the staff is very helpful, there's ample parking, and it's easy to get to. It was everything we were looking for; we highly recommend Greenbelt Cultural Center.
