Dan and his team fully explained the issue and also provided me with some information they researched. The manufacturer had identified the defect in a general service bulletin. It took two whole days for Jack the scam artist to do anything to the car at all. What he did was the brakes (which were almost brand new to begin with), took one of my tires, and tell me to come back the next day to get a new tire after giving me one "with a bubble in the wall but it'll be ok for a couple days" even tho I never asked for that. The car still shakes and hesitates and is left way worse then to begin with. Not to mention it reeked of cigarettes as soon as I opened the door and took days to get out. I was told that there was a warranty on the brakes (which no proof of bc it was never on the receipt or anything) so I told my fiancé to reach out to see what can be done to fix it. When my fiancé reached back out to jack he was told that it was "fucking ridiculous" and blocked his number. Needless to say if I could give no stars I would. Idk how he's still running a business that way scamming people and taking money from people not doing honest work. Enjoy that $600 I paid tho I guess? Sam has bought parts for me and installed ones I have purchased from reconditioned parts suppliers and OEM dealers. I also let him know what I have purchased prior to the scheduled work giving him the option not to install if he has any concerns, this builds respect and trust for both parties. It's the responsibility of the car owner to research problems associated with the model and year concerning recalls or reports pertaining to issues with the vehicle to give the mechanic a complete picture of the repairs required. Many car owners are lazy and will not take the time to educated themselves on how to fix their cars and then complain about the repairs bill paying the mechanic to be Sherlock Holmes trying to located the car issues. Again, the best approach is to communicate with the mechanic and give them all the information about the repair and funds you have budgeted for the work, doing this will reward you with a great relationship with your mechanic and not be just a number when taking to the dealership or large retail repair shops!
