Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Then, on the day of our reservation, the guys decided they wanted to join us too - suddenly we were a group of 21! La Sirena graciously accommodated all of us without missing a beat. I had pre-ordered appetizers- delicious roasted Cheese Saganaki, Fried Calamari, Tirokafteri, Tzatziki + 4 or 5 more, including mac and cheese. Every one of them was a hit! I was covering for the group, and from there the staff took everyone's individual drink and additional food orders and even helped us manage separate checks. With a group that large, that alone is impressive! The service was fabulous, the food was excellent, the sunset atmosphere was beautiful, and the live band was fantastic. We had such a fun night. But it didn't stop there. A few days later, we chartered a fishing boat and came back with mahi-mahi, amberjack, and porgy. We brought our catch to La Sirena, and they prepared it for us - grilled and fried - and served it with fries and an absolutely fantastic salad for only $15 per person! It was delicious and an incredible value. My picture does not do it justice - it was excellent! They even helped package all of our leftover fish into separate containers so we could take it back to our hotel and share it with members of our group who hadn't gone fishing. And THEN there was the margarita glass! We loved La Sirena so much that we bought one of their beautiful handmade margarita glasses to bring home. Sadly, despite our best efforts, it was completely crushed during our trip home. I reached out to Anthony, and he was wonderful. He worked with me to arrange for a replacement glass to be shipped safely to us with insurance. That level of customer service -especially after we'd already returned home -says so much about this restaurant and the people who work there. From accommodating our last-minute group of 21, to the wonderful service and live music, to preparing our freshly caught fish, to helping replace our treasured margarita glass, La Sirena truly went above and beyond for us again and again. We can't say enough good things about this place. If you're visiting Puerto Morelos, do yourself a favor and go to La Sirena. Every part of the meal from start to finish really was a presentation. Started off with a beautiful round plate that had an interactive portion with a flower that had edible petals. You took off the flower petals and then poured the dressing on top of it and mixed it up, which was one of my favorite things for the evening. The plates themselves were definitely custom-made as each item had a little indentation to make sure that they were properly aligned in the exact same spot for every single person who received. The main course I selected was the beef short ribs, which came out in essentially a rock covered plate that once lifted off, you could see the lovely presentation of the beef. The veggies were presented in a small bone and then also the sweet potatoes were in a ramekin that had a lovely lid on them. Last, but not least the desserts came out in a book that when you turned it and opened it, presented four different dessert options three of the four were ok there was one I was just not a fan of. The venue itself was set up so almost every seat in the house had a really good view of the stage. Upon entering the venue, they had live music with a quartet on the stage that had a harp of all things, and that was super amazing. The quartet played while the main portion of dinner was served and then right when the desserts came out was when the show started. From start to finish, the show was extremely entertaining. It was easy enough to follow along the theme of the show as well as a lot of it really is the acrobatics and showcasing the talent of all of the individuals as part of the production. I really enjoyed the fact that they have three platforms inside of the seating area and the show really does take up the entire space of the venue multiple layers, multiple levels and multiple different activities going on. It really made you feel like you were in an immersive experience. Every section of the performance really gave you a great respect for the talent and the energy that it takes to create their craft but also how precise they are doing so. There is even one part of the show where an audience participant got pulled up on stage, which was quite hilarious and the whole thing was just so entertaining. Since everything's already prepaid, once the show is over with you're able to depart without any need for waiting around for a check Only downside is that there are not a lot of restrooms in the venue itself. The ladies room had three stalls and one of which was accessible so that made for a long line after the show was over. If you have the ability to go see this, I'd highly recommend taking the time and pre-booking your transportation to make it a little bit less stressful.

The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. However, both dishes were still very solid 4/5 star achievers. The sea bass was a nice salty dish that was unlike any other variation of it that I've had. The service here is superb, they have live jazz music at times, and you really can't go wrong with anything that you order! It was more than either of us could have expected: rose petals, fabulous place settings, and when we received the menus, we opened them to see, on the left side, Tina's special menu slip/greeting that read: "Happy Birthday, Dr. Tina" (nice touch). The meal itself was delectable! We were presented with a delicious lobster amuse bouche and we ordered a beef tartare to share. I have been eating less red meat lately, however if you're going to eat red meat, eat it here. The quality of the beef tartare was amazing and beautifully presented (as every other dish we ordered). For the second course, I ordered the corn soup. Best corn soup hands down! The flavor was out of this world. For our entrees, I had the duck (staple of the restaurant for 20 years) and Tina ordered the sea bass. My duck was soooo good and I tasted her sea bass which was very flavorful. For dessert, we had ordered (at beginning of meal) a chocolate soufflé which came out hot and delicious (and tasty but not too sweet, which I also appreciate). Then after our soufflé, they delivered a special additional chocolate cake with candle and 'Happy Birthday Dr. Tina' writing on plate, while they sang to us/Tina. It was very cute and sweet. I can honestly say, this experience was a dream: from the synchronized delivery of food/presenting of dishes from the wait staff (literally felt like I was in a 007 ritzy scene with the service), thoughtful touches, delectable cuisine, exceptional jazz music, warmth of staff and great service.
