Prices are fair as far as getting a table goes. I loved the sparklers they passed out to everyone to light at the same time! The club itself is pretty small and the way tables are set up on the rows are very tight spaced. It was a little frustrating when staff would pass by because there's literally only space for two people between the tables and the rail. The dj had a great selection of music but his skill was really bad. Changing songs at the best parts ex: the drop is coming on a good song and he transitions to a different song. The staff that serve the tables do an outstanding job providing drinks. Unlike America where the girls drop off bottles and leave, the staff here are attentive enough that you never have to pour your own drink. Bathrooms are very clean with spacious stall! read more

Very nice atmosphere. Came to the beach club$1,000 pesos per person for a beach chair (towel not included) that $1,000 is them used as a crust for food and drinks for you to use. Service was great, George was our server, super attentive and informative. Great beach access, pool and fun younger crowd but also a family section. Food was super fiiire. So for two people it's about $2,000 Mexican pesos ($100 usd) and that goes towards food and drinks, plus beach chair access and pool access and bathroom ect. This place had me drinking Don Julio straight from the bottle, talk about an epic birthday party, we had so much fun here, my legs were killing me the next morning cause we were dancing for hours. I dont think I took a break, Mandela had me lit to another level, I thought I would be exhausted after a few hours but the energy in this club had us here till 4am. Music: The DJ played it all,from latin music,reggaeton to old school hip hop,and EDM there wasn't a moment we thought the music was awful.. Service: Get yourself a table and buy a bottle, we ordered a grey goose for 4 of us to share, and it came with mixers, the prices are on the cheaper side than the states. The bottles range from $135 and up. The goose was $180 with mixers and with tip came to about $230. Not bad at all, also you get a table and a place to sit. Our server was awesome he was always by our side and whatever we needed he got. 5 stars to him and the rest of the crew that work here, I remember it was so hot I was sweating my a$$ off and every few minutes one of the guys working would stop by just to bring me napkins to wipe my sweat off. that was a nice touch. Do not go here. I'll be honest, I had a pretty good night but it had everything to do with the group I went with and nothing to do with this club. The place was fairly packed and we were informed by the person promoting at our resort that if we partially paid for the ticket up front that we would have a reserved spot and would not have to wait in line when we got there. Although we seemed to have cut some people, we did have to wait a good 20 minutes before they let us in. The promotor also told us that he would set up a banner for my friend since we were there for a bachelorette party and this did not at all happen- the promotor acted as though he was too busy at the club when we asked about the banner. Part of what you pay for goes toward your alcohol/drinks which was nice but this does not include the tip for your server. So if you do not spend all of the allotted money on drinks, you CANNOT give that money to your server. It goes to waste. They did not explain this to us and when we told the server that we wanted the leftover money to go to him, he angrily told us that we had to give him "$50 right now." We only had $20 in cash and we told him that we would tip him at the end of the night depending on service. When the place was closing, the server followed and badgered us until the card was swiped and he got $30 more. WHO: bachelorette party WHAT (PROS): - GREAT customer service by Oscar (who approached us at our hotel - Sunset Royal Beach Resort) - private shuttle from out hotel one-day to Mandala (although technically it is walking distance) - we had a mini couch (in between a love seat and a sofa size) plus some ottomans to accommodate our group of 9 WHAT (CONS): - SO. FREAKING. HUMID!!! didn't realize this was an indoor/outdoor club. NO A/C (unless you're in the bathroom at the back downstairs). Limited fans circulating air. - EVERYONE has "table service" so our bottle service didn't feel as exclusive or special - our bottle service table was located RIGHT NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE so it was SUPER annoying and inconvenient that as people started coming in, they would bump into us on their way into the club - we noticed that the bottle service really isn't meant to accommodate large groups (mainly couples to maximum number of 4 people recommended) - the liquor offered was SO bottom shelf and absolutely disappointing - JOSE CUERVO, REALLY?! - the exclusive waiter was more in-the-way than helpful, especially since the tables are already so close to one another and our bottle service area was small given our group size - HATED that because it's indoor/outdoor, there was a LOT of cigarette-smoking (I have asthma) so this was NOT a great place to be at for smoke-sensitive people - although advertised to us as having different music genres, including Hip-Hop, there was mainly EDM mixes played (like a Top-40 type); for it to be more catered to Hip-Hop lovers out there, I'd definitely recommend the establishment play more trap (sub-genre of EDM) vs. house-like music (sub-genre of EDM) - was informed prior to us coming here that it has a more bougie vibe, which I can definitely see why that is BUT HOW THE HELL YOU GONNA LET PEOPLE IN WEARING TORE UP SNEAKERS AND BASKETBALL SHORTS?! dress code needs to be more clear read more

We went through a party coordinator through our hotel who recommended Mandala to us. We went on a Saturday night and it was poppin' -- we purchased the general admission ticket ($30) because we pregamed + wanted to drink top shelf but ended up joining a table. The drinks made at the bar were strong and didn't taste watered down as other reviewers have mentioned. Open bar was $60 a ticket for rail drinks. The music was mainstream top 40s but it was good music to dance to. It was crowded, but it wasn't ridiculously packed like sardines. The bathroom lines moved swiftly. Super fun New Years party and the staff is really nice as well. The staff is usually not to friendly at clubs but this staff was very good . Super fun atmosphere with good music and good crowd. The all included drinks were hard to get with some many people trying to get their all inclusive drinks. Think they need to add another bar so it makes it easier for people to get their drinks. DO NOT COME HERE!!! The workers inside and promotors outside will do everything they can to scam you. The vip that we paid for was crap! The alcohol was the cheap bottles. The "vip" sitting smelled sooo bad. Like a throw up and piss. When we ask to re locate. They kept ignoring us. And we had 11 girls, and even though we all paid for VIP, they gave us a area that only sat 5 girls! So we kept complaining and asked to talk to a manager. And all they kept saying was that there was nothing available. Which was NOT true. And we had reserved this in a month ahead of time!!! And even if we relocated most of the VIP areas had NO sitting. We would be sitting. The dance floor was super dinky! They were supposed to play top 40. And honestly i dont know what t f the DJ was playing. Kept butchering the songs unnecessarily and kept changing them. Beware!! Go to to coco bongo! That looked super fun!! Its no wonder there was no line here. And also do not book ahead of time. Theres always gonna be promoters that are willing to go even half the price. Also the VIP unlimited drink that are included are the cheap alcohol. I wish i could give this place 0 stars. Hopefully this review helps someone in not getting scammed here. Oh! I forgot. I booked through cancun discounts; and with this third party: the trip to the club was supposed to be free. This is a little embarrassing..but on my most recent trip to Cancun for a bachelorette, we lived and breathed at mandala.. three nights in a row! Overall the service here is really good and the staff is very nice and friendly.. which I find rarely to be the case at clubs. TIP - if you decide to have a late ish dinner, pass by the club around 8 or 9pm and they will actually give you a wrist band to come in for free - and you may even get a few drink (and some tequila shots in our case). The same wristband then lets you leave and come back later on when it gets busy - just a heads up this may only work if you're a group of girls. Overall we had a great time, the music is solid and the open side of the club keeps a nice breeze coming in. If you're looking to party in cancun, definitely make mandala one of your stops. read more

I have now visited Mandala twice, both times in Cancun, not in Playa del Carmen. The first time was accompanied by a local who was able to get us bottle service for the open bar rate. It was a really fun night and that was something I've never been able to experience the likes of at home.We went on a Monday which is, unbeknownst to us at the time, Mandala's big night, during which they host their famous wet t-shirt contest. Oh boy! Don't forget that what happens in Cancun stays in Cancun, except for videos of you dancing around a club like a stripper*. Make smart choices. You have been warned. (*Not from personal experience, just common sense.) The second time I was there, last week, I went with my boyfriend and it was a Saturday night. There are no extra "shows" or "contests" on Saturdays at Mandala, but that doesn't make it any less fun! We purchased the open bar entry option and since we got there early (~10:30p), we were seated at a high top table for 2. This was great and was similar to my experience at Dady'O in January. When you are seated at a table in a Cancun club, you are assigned a server. When you have an open bar wristband, said server brings you new drinks before you finish the one you are on. He also brings you random shots throughout the evening. You don't need to pay extra for bottle service when you get there early and have what is essentially your own private server. (Shout out to Sergio - you were great!) So all in all - a fun time! Get there early, buy the open bar ticket, get seated at a table with a server, and dance 'til the sun rises! Came here after one of their advertisers came and handed us a flyer at our hotel pool. It gave us access to la vaquita and mandala. It was $50 a person with unlimited drinks. It was Monday night with a "wet t shirt contest" advertised. It was fun, I had a better time here then the club we were at prior only due to the little acts and contest they held. It was mostly a mix of EDM which sucked because I'd rather dance then jump up and down and pump my fist. Good entertainment that consisted of; fire balls, fire, beer drinking contest, wet t shirt contest (lots of boobies), air compressors etc. Drinks were all in glow in the dark long skinny cups, they were average like all the drinks here, watered down. I've been to Mandala twice now. The first time was in February during the week. That was such a great time, danced our butts off, had a table with a great waiter, the drinks kept coming all night, and they were actually good. It was about $50 USD per person, open bar all night. I just went again with some friends last night.... It was a Saturday and I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed with the place. The drinks were really watered down and didn't really taste like anything that they claimed it was. I wouldn't go again during a weekend. I might give it one more chance during the week but I'm still a little weary. The weekend cost about $60 USD per person. read more

Decided to come here after being constantly harassed by there street promoters. It would of been worth the 60$ unlimited drink fee if the bussers/server didn't demand a tip after they got you something. The whole nightlife in cancun was pretty lame tainted with scammers. read more

While standing on the sidewalk, deciding which club to spend the evening, we were, by no surprise, approached by a salesman trying to lure us into mandala. My mom did not plan on drinking more than $25 dollars worth of drinks (which is how much you would need to to make unlimited worth it). The salesman lied and said the unlimited included bottled water (5-7dollars). Water from the tap is unlimited (which we drank and were fine). So we both decided to go unlimited. We were at the club for an hour on a Saturday night when the same salesman, Carlos O., approached us and told us he could not accept the $100 dollar bill we gave him. He wanted us to run our card instead. The bill was torn down the middle and taped up. According to him, in Mexico, they do not accept taped up money. We came to Mexico with new money from the bank. (My mom is careful about this stuff.) We knew without a doubt he had switched our money and wanted us to run our credit card for some peculiar reason. When I told him he switched the bill and that we wouldn't be running our card, he held us by the front desk for 20 minutes, making us wait for his ...boss? Continually changing his story as to what was going on. The front desk grabbed my wrist and scanned my bracelet as if out of punishment. Carlos had mentioned at one point "refund" which at this point, we were up for. I had enjoyed 2 or 3 inclusive drinks, and was growing pretty annoyed with how the night was turning out. We got there at 11 and there was very little dancing going on. I told Carlos we'd really rather just get our "useless" money back and leave. When he realized that we saw through his trick, he pretended to receive (through telepathy?) a new development on what happened, and said it was all just confusion. Everyone working around him looked confused. We aren't sure if the taped dollar he wanted to return us was counterfeit, or if this is a trick Mandala pulls on people who pay with $100 dollar bills... we aren't sure if running the card includes fees and they wanted more money from us... but we were so confused and our moods had completely deflated.. After considering leaving, we resolved to pretend it didn't happen and make the money spent worth while. At this point there was slightly more dancing going on. The music was top 40, mostly club remixes. The atmosphere was a little bit uptight. The floor tables were all unmarked but reserved. They circled the dance floor which made the floor feel kind of private or off limits. Still, we drank, and we danced. Confetti fell and there were fog blasters that cooled us down and created a cool sensory experience.
