If I could give La Sirena more than 5 stars, I would! I first reached out to La Sirena a few weeks before our trip to arrange a sunset dinner for a bachelorette party of 11. Then, on the day of our reservation, the guys decided they wanted to join us too - suddenly we were a group of 21! La Sirena graciously accommodated all of us without missing a beat. I had pre-ordered appetizers- delicious roasted Cheese Saganaki, Fried Calamari, Tirokafteri, Tzatziki + 4 or 5 more, including mac and cheese. Every one of them was a hit! I was covering for the group, and from there the staff took everyone's individual drink and additional food orders and even helped us manage separate checks. With a group that large, that alone is impressive! The service was fabulous, the food was excellent, the sunset atmosphere was beautiful, and the live band was fantastic. We had such a fun night. But it didn't stop there. A few days later, we chartered a fishing boat and came back with mahi-mahi, amberjack, and porgy. We brought our catch to La Sirena, and they prepared it for us - grilled and fried - and served it with fries and an absolutely fantastic salad for only $15 per person! It was delicious and an incredible value. My picture does not do it justice - it was excellent! They even helped package all of our leftover fish into separate containers so we could take it back to our hotel and share it with members of our group who hadn't gone fishing. And THEN there was the margarita glass! We loved La Sirena so much that we bought one of their beautiful handmade margarita glasses to bring home. Sadly, despite our best efforts, it was completely crushed during our trip home. I reached out to Anthony, and he was wonderful. He worked with me to arrange for a replacement glass to be shipped safely to us with insurance. That level of customer service -especially after we'd already returned home -says so much about this restaurant and the people who work there. From accommodating our last-minute group of 21, to the wonderful service and live music, to preparing our freshly caught fish, to helping replace our treasured margarita glass, La Sirena truly went above and beyond for us again and again. We can't say enough good things about this place. If you're visiting Puerto Morelos, do yourself a favor and go to La Sirena. Great food, wonderful people, fantastic atmosphere, and some of the best service we experienced during our entire trip. Thank you, La Sirena and Anthony, for helping make our trip so memorable. Special place to end the last night of our vacation in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Very good seafood. Everyone enjoyed their dish. The shrimp scampi could use more seasoning however. You get quality, quantity and presentation. The ambiance is a winner! 5/5. Very close to the beach. The open air patio dining with a ocean breeze to cool us off. The margarita was delicious and hit the spot. Service is excellent. A winner all around. And icing on the cake - salsa band and dance lessons offered on the top floor many nights of the week. We are here in the area visiting friends that live here and this is one of their spots. With that, they took us here. We came for the view, the music, and the drinks. We sat on the upper deck, before the lighthouse and band stage. Wonderful view. The band this evening was very good. Played 60-70's music. Like the Beatles to early Dire Straits and CCR. Again it's excellent music. The staff/our server was very nice and took care of us. We did not have any food. But the mixed drinks were really good, and the beer was cold. Prices were way better than anything in the States and were fair compared to the other surrounding places. Lastly, this place seems to draw a lot of Canadians and Americans. Some who are just visiting and some who actually live here, full/part-time. read more

Paying upscale US prices in a Mexican hot tourist zone (a good definition of Puerto Morales ), this place has bathrooms that should embarrass them & the $10 (that's US) glass of wine was warm. Every time we come to Puerto Morelos, we always stop by this great joint. You get a view of the square as well as a peek at the ocean while you enjoy amazing margaritas and some of the best ceviche. The staff is friendly and a delight to visit. They have a beautiful rooftop perfect for cocktails or having a party. We threw our friend a 40th bday up there once and it was the perfect setting. OMG! The BEST leg of lamb I've ever had! This was the first restaurant we ate at after flying in. My fiance was not as happy as I was with her dish but I was in heaven. Pros: I really love the menu options. Although I was tempted to try seafood the pics on Yelp for the lamb prooved to be irresistible. The meat fell of the bone instantly. The au jus was drizzled over the fresh mashed potatoes and vegetables. The ambiance was lovely. We sat outside so that we could enjoy the sunset. This is a lovely spot for a romantic dinner. The drink menu was creative and delicious! The staff was friendly. It is on the higher price end for the area so just note that. Cons: I'm not sure if the other dishes are just as good because I took a bite of my fiances seafood dish but her food was bland to me. Also, I was interested in the tiger fish dish but they didn't have it so that was disappointing but it happens. The drinks are delicious but priced high with an average of $10 USD. Such a great place to stop by and have a drink and overlook the town square. My husband and i were spending some time in Puerto Morelos and it happened to be a rainy day , we went up to the bar while it passed and really enjoyed the view. There was INSANE amounts of food; fresh tortilla chips, corn tortillas, guac, shrimp ceviche, pico de gallo, beef fajitas, shredded chicken, two kinds of HOT sauce, and beans. The food was Great. My personal fav was the beef fajitas (the chicken and ceviche were a little too salty for me). The guac was amazing! Everyone was raving about the hot sauce, especially the orange which was FIRE. I would recommend having them cater any event you have going on. They were timely, and left the food hot for everyone to enjoy throughout the night. They came back super late to pick up their dishes and what not which was weird but also nice. We actually went to the restaurant years ago, and it was nicer (I feel like they serve greek and other international dishes). On the way back to Cancun airport, we decided to stop in Puerto Morelos for a quick lunch bite. This restaurant has ocean views from their second floor rooftop deck. We ordered: Guacamole, served with chips Fish Tacos - locally caught grouper, served with fries Grilled Grouper, served with vegetables and rice Everything was delicious, we thought it would be a tourist trap for some reason. The service was delicious!! The owner is half Greek and half American so the menu is heavily influenced by Greek food. I really enjoyed my fish tacos, they were overflowing with ingredients and the grilled grouper was quite delicious too! Such large portions for each. Guacomole was perfect. We were stuffed. Unfortunately this will be the last time I go to La Sirena. The first time I went to La Sirena I had an amazing time and the food was delicious. Today I decided to take my mother around 11:45-12:30 lunchtime. We walked in we're greeted nicely. Went to the rooftop for the breeze and the view. No one was coming up to take our order so I went down to the bar inside due to the rooftop bar being closed. As I was ordering my drinks, I asked the waiter if he would service us on the roof. He said no., he was not serving up top. Literally a few moments after I come back up with our drinks another table sits right next to us(Caucasian's). As my mother was telling them that they were not serving up top the man comes up and takes their order. I was told by the bartender that he's the manager. He is short and has a beard. I asked him why he did not service us but serviced them, he had no excuse. All he said was they just came up, but so did me and my mother. I feel discriminated against and disrespected. read more

I got a kebab platter that was mush balls of ground meat like a kibbeh but tasted a bit old and not like a kebab I had expected.
