"Amazing Venezuelan food! I had the asado negro, cachapa, and pastelitos--everything was full of flavor and tasted homemade. The asado negro was tender and perfectly sweet-savory, the cachapa was crispy outside and soft inside with delicious cheese, and the pastelitos were fresh and paired perfectly with the sauce. Great portions, nice outdoor vibe, and friendly service. Definitely coming back!"

This little unassuming place in the Riverfront Shoppes area was a hidden gem. The open air upstairs seating gave a Panasonic view of the Halifax River. The food was the real hit here. We tried the (1) Arepas Sampler - packed with meat and flavor, (2) Peach Smoothie - refreshing, and (3) Patacone - an unbelievable pseudo sandwich: shredded beef, cheese, cabbage, tomatoes, garlic sauce packed between two fried sweet plantains. The sweet savory fusion was delicious. "I'd move here for this!"

Our #117 TripleD stop if I remember correctly. The Patacon Sandwich was huge and delicious. Went with the shredded beef and sweet plantain version. Garlic sauce was the kicker. The Aguiuta E Sapo was very good too but I'd ask to add some of that garlic sauce to it myself. Banana/Pineapple Smoothies were tasty! Great service. Cool place. Great view out the front window!

Clean friendly delicious! Clean friendly delicious! Clean friendly delicious! Clean friendly delicious!

VIEWS & GREAT FOOD :) Arepas are a South American dish made of ground maize flour with different things (rice, meat, cheese, beans plantains and so much more) Perfect to stop by for a quick & flavorful lunch while heading to the beach or just leaving the beach! The upstairs is my favorite! As it's located in the heart of downtown Daytona beach GREAT VIEWS OF BEACH ST & THE MAIN DAYTONA BRIDGE ! They have some good Spanish music playing :) I got the Arepita Pabellon, it comes with sweet plantains, beans, pulled pork, cheese it was DELICIOUS it's almost like THE original ONE. Everyone is friendly :) food comes out quickly They do close @ 6PM some make it an early dinner or late lunch

If you need a little bit of Venezuela on Beach street then stop in. We stoped for coffee and dessert. Smooth coffee and delicious guava cookies. Great to sit outside and watch the Bikes go by during hike week. The service was very pleasant and they were open on Monday even though the door (and Yelp) did jot give Monday hours.

The food is great and fresh. Order to made. The servie was impeccable and the people were friendly and pleasant. The environment was small, but there was a rooftop dining.

Food was pretty good. OK prices and good portions. Nothing fancy, but will satiate your arepa cravings!

Roast pork, with rice, plantains, avocado, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and two arepitas.

Having seen this place on a Food Network show, my wife and I decided to give them a try recently. The restaurant itself isn't much to speak of. It had a musty, humid smell upon walking in. You can opt to sit downstairs or walk up to the main dining, which includes an outdoor balcony (this is a long walk up). The place looks old and a little rundown. Now the food...my wife ordered the steak patacon and loved it. It was huge, meaty and tasty. I, on the other hand had the roast pork and rice (can't remember what it is called) and I asked for a soft egg on top. I found the pork to be dry, and the rest of the ingredients, including the rice and black beans, to be very bland. The cabbage was just that, plain cabbage. It could have used a little acid to break up the blandness of the dish. Unfortunately, too, my egg was overcooked, no runny yolk. I also had a beef empanada that, as you can tell from the picture, was swimming in grease. The texture of the empanada was fine and the beef was well seasoned, just too much grease. I used up most of the napkins on the table just to soak up all of the oil. The service too was a bit spotty. A pleasant young man running up and down the long stairs bringing food. It took a little while to get our meals. So, basically it's a split decision. My wife loved it and I did not.

One of my favorite places, the best Arepa Pepiada I've tried. The staff are friendly and courteous. Is well located with nice space specially in the second floor. Many food options to choose from in their menu. Great Venezuelan restaurant overall!

Opened Yelp while in Daytona and a collection popped up that recommended this restaurant only 4 minutes away. It was a beautiful day outside we sat outside. The arepas were wonderful so good in fact that we got a third one and split it. Definitely a stop if in Daytona.

I can honestly say I've had really bad luck in this place. Not only does the service take forever,…read morebut also it is just crappy food. I just think they don't try hard enough, the people working there perhaps are not properly trained, paid or it just comes all the way from the top. I went there to give them a second chance since I had previously tried them about a year ago and I thought the food was not good back then, but maybe since they have been open long enough, maybe it was that one thing I had. Well I was wrong, I ordered just some appetizers, not even a full meal or anything and they took almost an hour to bring it out!! I didn't want to complaint so I just took my food to go and left, but when I got home the mandocas I ordered were terrible, tasted like they just reheated them and didn't even have cheese or nata which is what they should come with, or how they are served in any Venezuelan place you go to. On top of that, I had asked for cilantro sauce for the tequeños, they said it was in the bag, and when I got home they just put garlic sauce in there!! I didn't even eat, what a waste of money and energy to go there. Terrible experience, I don't recommend the headache to anyone, it's just not worthy. Unfortunately.

Staff was great and friendly, we came early on a Saturday morning. The shredded beef arepa was…read moredelicious it had ham, cheese, cabbage, mayo and ketchup but bit pricey for $15 for only one. I wish they had a kids menu or more sides like French fries. They do also have an ice cream business so its pretty nice if you want to eat an arepa and then stay for dessert.
