    Shredded beef arepa
    Sara T.

Staff was great and friendly, we came early on a Saturday morning. The shredded beef arepa was delicious it had ham, cheese, cabbage, mayo and ketchup but bit pricey for $15 for only one. I wish they had a kids menu or more sides like French fries. They do also have an ice cream business so its pretty nice if you want to eat an arepa and then stay for dessert.

Absolutely amazing!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff working are so nice and helpful throughout the ordering process and hospitality. The man working told me the popular dishes and I ordered them and was blown away. The prices on the menu are a little expensive, but the portion sizes are massive. I normally don't trust peoples takes on portion sizes, but I couldn't finish all the food and felt I was going to pop. The patacion is a sandwich between two fried plantains and contains an absurd amount of meat and sauce. The plantains are much lighter than bread and absolutely delicious! The meat in the Pollo Mechado Patacion was a little salty but still delicious. The Aguita E Sapo Arepas were equally delicious. I was able to try one of them and it was one of the top 3 arepas i've ever had. There's a huge block of cheese on them and pork, alongside a ton of sauce. I was blown away. This is in no way a clean meal, expect to get your hands messy but it's absolutely worth it. I absolutely loved the food here and recommend it to everyone. Don't be deterred by the location or the fact it's a food truck. I'd recommend bringing your own water though. Go here!!!

As a miami local, I can tell you this place is great and super cute! The staff is so nice and attentive! The empanadas were delicious, they did take a bit to get them ready but overall good experience. So happy to have more Hispanic Cuisine in Gainesville.

Needed a Snack before dinner! I heard La Maracucha were in the neighborhood and we definitely had to go get something yummy. The traditional tequeños really hit the spot. We also had some empanadas too keep us over before dinner tonight. It was so tempting to cancel other arranged dinner plans and just stay and order more! Our family loves it!

Paticone de pernil and a shredded beef empanada

I actually stumbled upon this Venezuelan food truck in Gainesville while driving to another Venezuela food place with a friend. We figured we would try it out and there was no line so we were able to order right away. I got the paticone de pernil and a shredded beef empanada. All their food is made to order so be prepared to wait a bit, but trust, this wait is worth it. The paticone was very large but I wish I had realized they include ketchup on it by default, so that gave it a strange flavor that I didn't necessarily enjoy. Ultimately it's my fault because the ketchup is listed right on the menu. The empanada was excellent and steaming hot right out of the fryer. Crispy, crunchy, savory, and warm are just a few of the adjectives to describe it. Next time I would order the arepa de carne mechada. Don't pass by this bright-orange food truck without giving it a try!

Went to the food truck around Friday afternoon and there were around 5 people waiting. It took around 20-25 minutes to get our food which was the only thing I could complain about. Slight delay in receiving food but worth it. The guy taking our order gave us recommendations and we got a couple of things and they were all seasoned well. The sauces that accompany the arepas is delicious especially the dark green spicy one. I highly recommend the arepa de carne desmechada (shredded beef) and tequeños.

It truly warms my heart to see so many Venezuelan food trucks finally pop up in the area. I stumbled upon this gem on my way to la aurora. The staff was very nice , the food was ready in a jiffy and better yet it was finger licking good. What really stood out to me was their chicha. This is a rice milk/condensed milk drink typical to Venezuela. It should be very rich and smooth almost like a milk shake and this food truck got it spot on. I haven't had chicha this good since I last visited my family in Venezuela . I am very excited to go back and try more of their menu and share my culture with my daughters.

I love this food truck. Their staff is very friendly and their empanadas are unbelievably good, particularly the carne mechada one (my Brazilian boyfriend's favorite). They have some Maracaibo classics, like pastelito de papa con queso and "agüita e' sapo" areapas. They switch places depending on the day of week, but they usually post any updates to their location to their instagram stories.

I was in Dillard's and the young lady that was helping me had some food delivered. It smelled so good I had to inquire. She gave me tge directions & I went straight to this food truck to place my order. Food was made fresh with only a 16min wait, and it was delicious.

    Chicken arepa

The arepas was so yummy! And it was huge! They were also quick and it was still very hot by the time I got home to eat it.

Great food from Venezuelan cuisine. The best mandocas, tequeños and chicha in town. If you are visiting Gainesville you must visit this food truck. You won't regret it. It's definitely a 10 out of 10.

Amazing catering! Eros and his food truck team came to our place for a graduation gathering. The food was amazingly delicious. The service friendly and efficient. And I didn't have to cook or clean!

The selection of Beers was outstanding! I had a starter of what was billed as Chupe De Pollo, (chicken chowder), it had very thick broth and was chocked full of chicken. Chicken breast was used and although there was a lot it was very dry and the broth was more like a heavy veloute. It also did not have much flavor. I won't be ordering that a again. My wife and I had Empanadas, mine was shredded beef and hers shredded chicken. I could have used a bit more sauce for dipping. The shell was quite crisp but not greasy. But all and all it was good. Our friend had the vegetarian arepas and let me taste some, it was quite good. She finished the whole dish! We also shared the loaded fries which came out hot with an interesting sauce drizzled over it. We didn't have the bacon on it as our friend is vegetarian. That would have made it even better for me. All in all it was a fun experience and we'll be going back.

However, I came in on a Tuesday evening, and unfortunately, my experience with our server, Esteban, was very uncomfortable. When we first sat down, he did not come over to ask what we would like to drink. Instead, he stood there and stared at me very awkwardly for about a minute, which made me feel very uncomfortable. After he eventually brought our drinks and food, he did not come back to check on us for almost two hours. Then, right as he saw that we were getting ready to leave, he came over to take our payments. He did not say anything or clarify whether we were splitting the check. He went directly to my friend and had her pay, and we later realized that she had paid for both of us. At that point, it was already very late, so we did not complain or say anything. However, I truly felt uncomfortable throughout the entire experience. It was not just the lack of checking on us, but also the fact that he barely spoke to us, never communicated with us, and never made any effort to make us feel welcomed or comfortable during our visit. I want to emphasize that I have never been treated this way at Mi Apa before, which is why it is unfortunate that I feel the need to bring this to your attention. I have always had a positive experience here, so I hope this feedback can be helpful in some way. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for hearing me out. I hope this helps in any way.
