So I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I also told my family about this optometrist due to the doctor is great. I have never had a problem with this optometrist until now. I brought in my frames to get the lens changed into my new prescription given to me by the doctor here. I dropped them off and and paid some of the payment and the rest of the payment was to be given when I picked them up. So I hadn't picked up my glasses due to I had a lot of stuff going on in my life and they were calling the wrong number to let me know they're were ready to be picked up. I believe I hadn't picked them for about 6 months. I stopped by to pick them up and when I got there Maggie told me they weren't there and they had donated them to the library due to I hadn't picked them up in 6 months. I told her are you aware those frames were ones I brought in myself and did not purchase there. I did not give them permission to donate them to the library neither did I sign anything stating if I didn't pick them up by a certain time my belongings were going to be donated! I told her she would need to replace them due to I did not purchase them there and she offered to just give me a 20 dollar discount off ones for me to purchase from them when my frames were 400 dollars. I did accept that and told her I would bring my receipt where I purchased them and someone would either have to pay for my frames or replace them I would not take anything else and all of sudden the next day she said the library found them and I could come picked them up! I have never heard of something like this happening at a optometrist. So if you leave your frames here to change the lenses beware this might happen to you. This was one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This is why I will not be returning here to get glasses again for me or my family. Which is sad because the doctor is great but her staff is horrible!! read more

This was my first time visiting this office and I was very impressed with the service and attention to detail! The doctor was very informative throughout the whole exam and explained to me what she was doing and why she was doing it. The ladies at the receptionist counter were very sweet and got me registered in their system fast. The lady who helped me pick out my glasses was patient and super nice while I tried on my frames. Even tho they had a fully booked schedule, I only waited about 10-15 mins to be seen and I was there for about an hour passed my appointment time. I went in about two years ago before I had health insurance to get my eyes checked. They told me that I had a stigmatism and if I didn't wear glasses I would get a lazy eye. They also told me that I should get contacts if I didn't want to wear my glasses so I bought those as well. Spent nearly $800. Today I went to Kaiser Permanente, now I'm a teacher and I have health insurance, and they told me I don't need glasses. I do have a stigmatism and I do not see 2020 but that my vision is nearly perfect and if I don't want to wear glasses I don't have to. Looking back I feel like they were trying to make money off of me by up selling contacts and glasses. Glad to know my eyes are OK! And happy to have health insurance! read more

Never really gone to an Optometrist but now being 44 it was time. I told the them this was my 1st time and they made feel comfortable. The office staff was very attentive & knowledgeable and Dr. Wang was very thorough and explained all the details of her findings. Luckily my prescription wasn't to bad and the staff was patient with me as I selected a frame and helped me pick the best one for me. I wanted to like this place. Dr. Wang is a nice enough lady. However, they got my wife's prescription wrong, twice. They also sold or provided my email address to other companies because I also started getting spam email from "Lasik Vision" and other eye care related businesses that I wasn't getting before I went there. They also average 3 weeks to make a pair of glasses. They told us it was because our vision care insurance provider makes the process slow. I just went to Walmart and used the same insurance and had two pairs of glass ready in less than a week, so...... We are looking for another provider. read more

First impression was good--the office is mostly windows, so you get a lot of good natural light in. Front desk staff is courteous and all smiles. With one patient in front of me, the wait was short to see the doctor. Written 8/22/2014 - I was way due for an eye exam and updated prescription. Everyone here was super nice and answered all my questions on what my VSP insurance would cover and what I would owe out of pocket. They even allowed me to pay half of what was due at the time I chose my frames and pay the rest upon pick up of my frames. EDIT 9-25-14 - Unfortunately, I reviewed this place to soon and before the transaction was completely done. I order TWO frames and picked them out on the day I ordered. However, when I was ready to pick them up there was only one frame there and a set of lenses, no frames. Where were the other frames I had picked out?! They had no answer. I was then told I would have to go onto the floor and find them again....uh...that is why I PICKED THEM OUT. I really don't remember which ones I picked, it was a over month ago! I will be asking them for a refund as I was charged for TWO frames with TWO prescription lenses and only received one frame and two loose lenses! Not good service. As Ed G. said above, Dr. Wang is nice but they lose orders and are pretty rude when they are questioned about it. EDIT 10-1-14 - Ok so I have no problem changing all I said in the 9-25 edit. Lidia, the office manager, fixed all. I actually brought an old pair of glasses that needed fixing and they fixed them for me and put in the lenses I did order into them. Lidia also gave me a Prada case and some more cloth lense cleaner to take home. So I will change my review as I'm wearing my new frames now and they did a great job getting the lenses to fit into my Prada frames. read more

I had LASIK done to correct my vision about 15 years ago so I don't go for glasses any longer. However I really need to get an annual checkup for eye health and it's been a few years so I called here. I used to take my kids here for their checkups and glasses and contacts and had been pretty happy with the service overall. It was easy to get a convenient appointment. The check-in process was smooth. Doctor Wang, who I remember with fondness, is now at this location just two days per weeks as she has a second clinic in Diamond Bar, so I was seeing Dr. April Chanda. I really enjoyed my visit with her. She clearly answered my questions and gave me information about my eye health and what issues typically come up as eyes age. Since I do have coverage for glasses even though I don't wear corrective lenses any longer, it turns out that I'm covered for sunglasses so I was able to get a good pair that day for an excellent out-of-pocket price. Dr. Nancy Wang, just because you talked to your staff does not mean you were given all the facts. I did not have my glasses for 2 months because the first time I picked them up the prescription was wrong and they had to be sent back. As far as the lenses, they should have never been removed in the first place, as I never agreed anything. As you stated yourself, I did not agree to using my warranty therefore if they weren't being sent out, then no need to remove them. Your establishment never "reversed" ANYTHING, with my insurance! The insurance themselves offered that to me after I called them to inform them of the situation. They also apologized to me on behalf of your office and agreed with me that your office never had the right to leave me with no glasses not being able to see. The "insurance" assisted me on finding another doctor, (in which I did) and they have already corrected the problem. I realize you have to respond and present it like "your staff" did everything correctly and professionally , but they didnt!!! I just hope nobody else just to experience anything like this. I have been coming to Argo Optometry and Dr. Nancy Wang for over 5 years and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time. At some places you will end up waiting up to a half our past your original appointment time. Her office is plush, immaculate and very well staffed, everyone who works there is extremely nice and knowledgable. Lydia in particular took time to help me pick out a pair of frames that suited me. I had worn contact lenses for the past 20 years so I was a bit out of the loop when it came to fashionable frames. Dr. Wang herself is super nice and knows her stuff. She is up on all the new technology and has the equipment in her office to back it up. She takes the time to explain everything to you, so that you fully understand. Like I said I've been wearing contacts for 20 years and glasses for 5 years before that, so I have been to A LOT of optometrists in my 33 years. Some places give you the revolving door treatment, but not here, by the end of your first visit you will be on a first name basis with everyone. My daughter, brother, aunt, and cousin all come to Dr. Nancy Wang now. I would recommend her to anyone who needs any kind of eye care, whether it be glasses, contacts, CRT, or even laser eye surgery consultation. You will not be disappointed. read more
