After four scheduled cat sitting services (for 1-2 weeks at a time), I have been thoroughly pleased with ALL of their employees, the high level of communication, the friendliness and the reliability! I am so grateful that they are in Hyde Park and a local business. A few things I've noticed: 1) I get updates with photos and a narrative for every visit. I usually schedule 2 visits every day that I'm gone. 2) No matter which employee visits, I understand from the narrative report that they have read the instructions, and the comments that I've left. For example, this summer, the temperature reached 100 degrees outside, but I had forgotten to turn on the A/C. After leaving a comment to ask that it be put on energy save an set to 72, the next sitter did just that, and sent me photos to verify the settings. This put me completely at ease while being away during a dangerous heatwave. 3) My cats need medication and a special feeding schedule; my instructions are followed and this also helps me feel at ease that the kitties are fine for extended absences. 4) If I need to extend my trip, the online scheduling system is easy to update and I know that I won't have to scramble to find an alternative. The onboarding process if you are a new client is not something that can be done at the last minute; I signed up before I knew I would have a trip planned, but then once the consult was done, it has been completely a breeze to sign up for vacation house sitting appointments. I have been and continue to be very pleased with the services, care, and convenience of Hyde Park Bark!

When I told them I was going to ER they brought her out in a blanket... NO movement at first. Later she pooped as we rushed her to ER. That's last time I saw my Chi-Weenie alive. When we got to Hyde Park she was moving in my lap- standing up- playing on my shoulder--- THEY took her to the back... and returned her dying in a blanket. I HATE THEM FIR TAKING HER. She was my baby, and my daughters Emotional Support Animal. We lost a piece of our heart that day.

DO NOT take your pet here! I would give zero stars if I could. We were told our cat would need all…read moreof her teeth removed ASAP, which would cost thousands of dollars. After some pushback they said we could try antibiotics and corticosteroids, but they still wanted us to get a blood test done and schedule the procedure immediately. I felt very pressured to agree. I will outline some of my issues with the care they provided below, but here's the big thing: we took her to a new vet who says there are no signs of stomatitis and if anything she could use a routine cleaning! Maybe the steroids, antibiotics, and daily brushing has improved her condition, but then why was HPAC acting like we shouldn't even bother with these things? Anyway, I recommend going to NAWS in Mokena instead. It's a bit far, but you could take the day off work and rent a car to get there and it would still be cheaper, plus your cat would still have teeth at the end. Here is just a brief list of some of my problems with the care we received (trust me I could go on): 1. They charged us for an extra nexguard which we had to call to get refunded 2. They prescribed a corticosteroid eye drop instead of oral. Luckily we caught this major error, but cancelling and re-placing our medication order meant it took an extra week to get to us. When we called to get them to fix the prescription the receptionist said they would get back to us, but we never even got a call to say "hey sorry we did that, it's fixed now". A little courtesy goes a long way 3. Despite pushing me to get a fecal sample taken (which they have done at all visits because they are convinced my cat has worms despite no evidence, multiple rounds of deworming when we got them, and previous negative results) they didn't give me a sample collection tube or any instructions 4. The next morning, my cat had licked some nexguard off her back and was throwing up. I had to call multiple times and it wasn't until late afternoon that I was finally able to speak to someone 5. During the appointment, I asked if we should be brushing my cat's teeth daily until she could get surgery. The technician said "not to be rude, but it's a bit late for that at this point". I do, in fact, think that was rude They are also incredibly disorganized. They lost the proper notes from my cats first appointment last year, and even their notes I do have leave much to be desired. They say they prescribed "antibiotics and anti-inflammatories" which doesn't actually give information about the medication or dosage prescribed.

I only had him for a short piece of time and had necessarily built up a network for him yet, so when my boss sent me on a week long business trip I was freaking out because I hadn't necessarily secured a dog walker or boarding services. I reached out to several places and none of them were able to take my dog on short notice. I did have a conversation with another service that actually excepted my job but last minute totally flaked less than 24 hours before I was due to board my plane!!! I called Aimee in a full on panic! I let her know what was going on and she immediately came over to my house to assess the situation and feasibility of my job. She had several other things going on but due to my circumstance she took my job and executed it flawlessly! My dog was boarded at my home but she came by twice a day to clean his enclosure and take him for walks. She did so as contracted. I have a camera in my basement so I was able to see every time she came over in the exchange and she treated my dog so wonderful!!!! That meant a lot to me. Amy not only save me from a potential disaster but she also gave me the assurance that my pet was taken care of with love. Miss Aimee is now a part of my for babies CareNetwork and I'm so happy for that.
