UPDATED REVIEW I feel for Patricia L., and empathize. After we moved our kitty to another vet (Metropolitan Veterinary Center, 15th and Michigan) in July 2024, we found out the poor creature had very bad kidney stones and possible diabetes. As much as Dr Jeremy Williams examined her, he NEVER said anything to the effect that we should take her for kidney screening after she had multiple UTIs. We took urinalysis tests and other screenings. We had to switch her to kidney food by Hill's Science at some point, and control her blood sugar. In July of THIS year she became sick again with an infection, and the emergency vet did a lot of VERY expensive tests and found SO many things we did not find, not even the 'new' vet! I think the ER doc wondered what the old vet was even doing that they didn't find this many problems. I don't think this location nor the Stony Island location has the equipment to find anything serious. We had to put her down as all the problems she had at such an advanced age (15 or so) would have made her quality of life so poor. If we had moved her to the other vet sooner I am 99% sure we would have avoided more pain and discomfort for her. Avoid this place if at all possible, here AND Stony Island. While everyone was very pleasant....I have had to call them TWICE to get the results of a $92.00 urinalysis that should two days at the most to process. Still nothing. All these corporations buying up neighborhood Veterinary practices look all sparkly and shiny....but the prices triple, they constantly try to "upsell" you, meanwhile they can't manage to follow up on a simple lab report. I came back to the Hyde Park Animal Clinic at the new location on Lake Park and had a wonderfully thorough experience with Dr Williams. He is absolutely fantastic. I transferred here from a Good Vets location and the experience was night and day. Received test results the next day - I was provided detailed explanations about those results and detailed instructions about how to administer meds. His bedside manner was also excellent - and our lil pup Coco had a pretty happy experience - nail trim and all. I'll be sticking with this location for the foreseeable future and happy to support a business in my neighborhood. read more

20 minutes ago 0 stars. TERRIBLE business operations and SHAMEFUL tactics. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS. They will book an appointment over the phone, quote you a price and then play nice once you're in just to do the old switch-a-roo when you're already done with part of the "services". Brought my two 10 week old puppies in for their first set of shots. We were told over the phone that the cost would be $60 per dog for their first round. Never told there was a exam fee that cost more than the actual shots and dewormer. Upon arrival a lady snatched both puppies out of my two daughters hands without our permission while I was turned around singing in and she ran off with them to another room to "show them off". The doctor came in with no gloves on and touched around them and in their mouths with his bare hands for less than 5 full mins. for both puppies just to tell us after the fact that it was $75+ per pup per exam. He barely did anything at all. BFFR. They were upset and shocked when I said I wanted all services performed in front of us as I know the type of games people play nowadays. They were moving weird which alarmed my instincts to keep a close watch and to make sure the service claimed would actually be provided/performed; not off in another room where we wouldn't see them as the vet suggested or tried to run game on me. They charged two different prices for both pups of the same age and breed that had a clean bill of health from them. Wanted over $450 for just one round of exams and shots for both which is outrageous pricing and was not discussed over the phone. There's no pricing sheet like other vets in the Chicagoland area so they can make up whatever as they go after they already have you in there. Petco charges way less for all the round of shots which is done in 3 visits plus extra services and testing. At Hyde Park animal hospital she told me after the fact that going forward every time they come there is an exam fee plus the cost of shots; so if I agreed to the insanity I would be over paying for subpar services that I'm not sure would have even been performed. $450+ x 4 visits totaling over $1800. Petco charges $229 for Pup Shield Pro (all 3 visits) or $99 per pup first visit and the exams for new patients are free. Save yourself time, money and the headache of dealing with people that like to play mind games and go with a well know company that lays everything out so there's no confusion. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here just because it's close by. The fake niceness is a rouse unless you just like overpaying then do you. AND always always always read the reviews and don't ignore the people that take the time to warn you. I should have read the reviews they are horrible. read more

This clinic is now on Hyde Park Blvd., just west of Lake Park Ave. Dr. Williams compassionately took care of my cat who was suffering and at the end of her life. It took me a while to update this review, but I get upset when I think about the service provided at this location. Unfortunately, many people are like me, and we are in the area, so we go there. However, I learned a lesson the hard way. i would never recommend this location which is now on 51st street to anyone unless you are sitting on stacks of dollars and you can afford high bills, if you like poor communication from staff and doctors via phone and email; i was informed my dog had a heart murmur, but they were focused on the money make issue which was his eye pressure. It was a low number at that time, but no medicine was prescribed. The eye was the money maker; that is the goal. 3/20 I communicated my dog wasn't eating, and what would they suggest, and it took 7 days to get a reply, and it wasn't an appropriate response. In between time, we found a Vet that cares and worked with us. I will forever be grateful to the new vet who was definitely out of the neighborhood. To this day, no doctor has followed up to see how Dakota is or anything, but I have gotten lets make some money off of you email. My family has stopped me plenty of times from going in and cursing them out. My dog passed on 4/4/25, and at least he had the chance to meet some awesome doctors not connected with this place. read more

Branching from my stony review. It took me a few weeks to write this review, but after quite a but of consideration i find it to be necessary. I brought my dog here (6y/o Rottweiler) a few weeks ago to get a second opinion. She had been limping for several weeks and the initial vet i took her to seemed to be more uncomfortable treating her than i would like as she is a high energy dog. Initially, i was very pleased with the service, Dr.Baker seemed to be pretty calm and communicative however things took a pretty quick turn. This hospital works in tandem with the stony hospital and this clinics reviews were better which is why i proceeded with treatment. I was told Myla needed x-rays completed to get to the root of the issue which would be scheduled for the upcoming monday. Mind you, this is my first visit with them so I am unaware of any protocols or processes. They scheduled her for 8am and told me that if I'd like, i could drop her off and come back after work omitting pertinent information that her appointment was not actually at 8am that was just her intake time and the intake still worked triage style. By 11am i got nervous and called asking why i have not gotten an update (in all 6 years ive never experienced this) they let me know the doctor was in surgery all day and that myla still had not been seen and they simply were not sure when she would be. (???) by 2:30 pm still no update i was once again met with attitude that she had not been seen and the doctor was in surgery so i would just need to wait. Here is when i started looking at reviews for this hospital and they were all terrible specifically regarding this doctor. I called back 10 mins later and told them i would be coming to pick her up and i didnt want the x rays done because i was uncomfortable with the lack of communication as a new patient. The receptionist said okay and hung up. 5 minutes later they called back saying she was all done and ready to be picked up. Huh??? How did you accomplish this in 5 minutes when i had been calling all day, it felt like a quick money grab which made me more angry. As soon as i arrived i was instantly met with attitude from the receptionist and given my total. Excuse me? You havent updated me on the x-rays or the status of my pet but youre charging me a $600 bill before i even speak to the vet? I dont think so. I requested to speak to the vet and a tech came out saying "i heard you wanted to speak to someone" i told her i requested the vet and continued to express my disappointment in the lack of communication and the procession of services after i declined. I started crying i was so frustrated. She told me she understood and told me she would go get the vet. Dr.Baker comes in with an incredibly bad attitude asking what the issue was, i start to share my concerns and she instantly cuts me off and snaps well ive been in surgery all day. Okay? That is fine but i imagine everything is meant to be on a schedule hence the appointment slots and i share its not that i am trying to prioritize my dog over others im simply stating as a new patient there were multiple things that made me uncomfortable. She continued to be cold stating that she was in surgery and thats not how it works and eventually admits that she didnt know i requested the service to not be done. No apologies or empathy. I tell her to move on and show me the x rays since theres no resolution in sight and she does so very rudely. As im asking for next steps she snaps saying she doesnt know anything and i would need to ask the specialist. she even said she'd refer me to a cost efficient one and when i asked what the typical prices are she snapped "no idea" ask them. Ha. She charged to sedate my dog without asking her temperament and jf that was necessary for scans which most vets do, it was not because shes had them previously without needing sedation. So i paid and left, sent an email requesting a copy of the x rays which i never received. I did call the animal clinic explaining the situation, they apologized and shared they could get me in qith another doctor considering the time sensitive nature of her condition. I asked if they could accomodate the new patient fee as i didnt want to have to repay it twice in a few weeks all things considered and they shared they could not do that. Overall horrible experience. The doctor should be ashamed. She may be knowledgeable but lacks empathy needed to work in this field. I was very disappointed with the experience as a dog owner whose visited many veterinary clinics ive never been met with such disregard. read more

I have been taking my dog to this clinic for the last three years. Initially, the veterinarians were excellent--kind, friendly, and gentle with my dog. However, my recent experience with the new vet, Kate Keets, was extremely disappointing. She treated my dog rudely and unprofessionally, and seemed uncomfortable around animals, going so far as to cover my dog's eyes with a dirty cloth before administering a vaccination. Her interaction with me was also rude and disrespectful; she was reluctant to answer my questions rather than pressuring me to pay for additional services. This experience with Kate was distressing for both my dog and me. I regret to say that the quality of the clinic has declined sharply over the past year due to this change in staff of hiring KATE. I cannot speak more highly of the entire Hyde Park Animal Hosp/Clinic team - but especially the crew at the 53rd Street location. I live in the neighborhood and have found the level of professionalism, care and local kindness/enthusiasm so refreshing. I'm a first-time dog owner and have felt so supported from preventative/general care to the frantic moments when shit goes awry and you feel helpless. Also a special shout out to Vaniti for going the extra mile to accommodate my family's schedule in making an appointment work. Hyde Park Animal Clinic is not accessible for animals and pet owners. My cat needs simple mat removal from his fur and vaccine update. They charge $75.00 for a (easy) mat removal and $150.00 for a vaccine. In addition to this, this is our first time going to this clinic which is an additional $62.00. Not only did the costs rack up there is also a terrible time management issue. I was told during the initial visit there is the possibility of the mat removals needing to be completed on a separate visit. One visit could range up to 8 hours for a pet, nothing my pet needs should amount to a 16 hour total visit. I really don't know how anyone could come up with this unaccommodating, joke of a system as the one they have in place. I am not sure if they are purposefully excluding a certain demographic with all of these obstacles. However, this is absolutely ridiculous as well as offensive please come up with a better system if you care about pets. I will be renting a car to drive my pet to another animal veterinarian clinic that has rational costs and that is time efficient. All costs will be cheaper and less stressful of a process for myself and my cat. read more

We've been coming here for years and it has really gone downhill due to incompetent and unprofessional staff. Recently we had an appointment for our cat, confirmation email and everything. My husband took time away from work, bundled up the scared cat, paid for parking, etc. They were closed when he got there - no explanation as to why they had let us make an appointment for a time they were closed. I called later and left a message explaining what had happened, and no one even bothered to call me back. I mean, what? We were annoyed but decided it could have been a fluke and gave them another chance. We had another appointment, which went fine, and then we made another appointment to follow-up on something this morning. When my husband and the cat got there, they said it would be 20-30 minutes, and they'd call him. Not convenient but no big deal. 40 minutes later no call so my husband went back in to check in. They gave him horrible attitude and told him they had no idea how long it would take and they said they'd call him so he shouldn't have come back. No apology or anything. He continued to wait. I called my husband to check in because we had plans. I could hear the woman in the vet's office through the phone being EXTREMELY RUDE to him. I was honestly shocked. I wouldn't expect anyone to speak that rudely to their client at all, and especially not someone they should have been apologizing to! The woman said this wasn't a real problem because my husband could just leave the cat and go about his day and pick her up before close. My husband explained that our cat was TERRIFIED and it would be cruel to leave the cat there all day for a 5 minute blood test that we had an appointment for. The woman shrugged, so apparently they don't care about the experience of the animals any more than they do the humans. My husband eventually just took our cat back and left. Sometimes places are short staffed or things take longer than expected or whatever. That's fine. Be honest and apologize. Don't lie and yell rudely at the people you're supposedly serving! Maybe the doctors are fine - I don't know - but the staff is so unprofessional that we no longer trust them with our pet. We will be finding a new vet. read more

Fantastic. We both have very busy schedules and it's hard to squeeze in time for anything other than an annual check up. The entire staff is very accomodating and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable and they are open on Saturdays, which is a huge plus. We trust the staff here, and when you are dealing with a pet, that is the most important thing. I've been going to this vet for the better part of two years because I live nearby. No qualms, no real problems until now. I booked an appointment THREE WEEKS in advance to give my cat a distemper vaccination. Upon arrival, the vet tech says to me, "The vaccine isn't here, the doctor will have to go to the other location to get it." Mind you, they mentioned "there's nobody here so you can stay here and we'll do the exam as we wait for the vaccine." Totally fine, we all make mistakes, I'll wait half an hour. They do the exam while we wait. They didn't check his ears, eyes, and only looked at his teeth becuase I asked them too. This was supposed to be a FULL exam which is required when you get distemper shots. I asked them multiple questions about behavior and the Dr replied with "I don't know I wasn't there to see it" instead of any advice or educated guess. An hour and a half of sitting in the room without anybody checking in on us, I peer out to ask the vet tech if they received the vaccine from their sister hospital not even a mile away from this location. The tech immediately responds "Oh Dr. Williams has been here for a bit, let me check if it's here." At this point, fine, the wait time doesnt matter as long as my cat gets vaccinated, which was the entire point of taking the day off work to come in early. Lo and behold, the tech comes in, grabs my cat, brings him into the other room and promptly returns in less than 10 seconds. No yelp, not even a meow. The vet comes in with a feeding syringe clasped in her hand and claims she administered the shot into the crook of his front elbow, and was adamant that this was standard procedure. My paperwork from the shelter and previous vet say otherwise; distemper shots go into the right hind leg. So, let's check for marks in either leg right? Gradually applied pressure to all his legs. No reaction, not even a light wince. No dried blood, no bump, even a tiny hole. I'm not a veterinarian by any means, but anybody with a hint of common sense would know I got the run around. Every vaccination my cat has gotten has been done in front of me and in the back hind leg. The fact that he was taken into the back room and swiftly returned before I could even process what happened is not okay. Never had a shady sales tactic like this happen to me at a vet. Ridiculous. All the lady at the front desk would tell me afterwards is "Would you like to leave a message for the doctor? It's documented so that means he got the vaccination." Avoid like the plague. read more

I am still waiting for a call back to schedule an appointment for my dog. I called over two weeks ago after having an in-person visit. The recommended treatment was not working so I reached out to consult with the doctor. The information was provided and after a week, I finally received a called back and was told I would receive a call to schedule another in-person visit. As of today, I haven't received any calls. You hate to go to another vet clinic after starting treatment/well care and not wanting to start all over but the lack of follow-up is unacceptable. read more

They don't seem to care about building relationships which is what keeps people coming back.This used to be the most loving, caring spot when Dr. Wake and crew were there. I am never coming to or referring this place ever again. I was turned away despite being a patient for years due to inability to pay in full. I explained it was an emergency visit and my cat and I were just there 4 months ago for the same issue (UTI WITH crystals!!!). I also explained that I am currently on disability so my pay is reduced from my normal full-time working salary and that I would pay the balance (less than 70 dollars) within 30 days. I stated I was able to do this for my other pet just 2 months prior, where I paid the remaining balance within 10 days, but was still turned away even after offering to pay more than half and having done so in the past. I am never coming back and I found another office that will see my cat and waive the new patient/exam fee, making the visit even cheaper. I packed my cat up and stressed her further by putting her in a carrier and dragging her out in 15 degree weather for nothing!!! I am appalled and my cat is seriously sick! Where is the compassion and loyalty here?! My cats have been patients for over 4 years! So disgusted. I miss Dr. Henry! read more

We initially went to HPAC as a recommendation from my roommate's brother, even though we live on the northside. We made/make the commute each time to see Dr. Wake. We've taken both our dogs here... vaccinations, check-ups, teeth cleanings... Dr. Wake is incredible... he's also almost-always available via phone when we have random or even emergency questions. The most important thing to know is that, he speaks dog. Sometimes I don't even understand what he's saying to me because he is so eloquent in bark, lol. He's very kind to our animals and very honest. He knows that he might not be the least expensive vet out there, but he has no hang-ups on referring us to someplace that is. Remember... Dr. Wake works for YOU and not the other way around. No problems here with the rest of the staff though... read more

I'm a long time Kenwood resident and customer of the Hyde Park Animal Clinic for over 30 years with Dr. Wake who is no longer practicing. Yesterday might have been the hardest day for me and my family to take our KC "dog" in knowing he was very sick but, still hoping for a miracle. I felt being in a familiar place would somehow make it easier for my family. Until meeting Baker the "Veterinarian". The absence of empathy/compassion shown to us and not answering simple questions concerning possible treatments like how much would the medication cost? She stated" I don't know" clearly she could have given us an estimate. Nothing. Never once tried to engage us in any meaningful conversation other than to say his heart murmur has worsened and he has CHF. The 5 min interaction was horrible. I miss Dr. Wake. The new owners try to up sell you on stuff your animal really doesnt need; every time you go there, the staff either doesnt know or changes the prices willy nilly; you challenge based upon what you previously paid and then walla - the price changes. they send you email notifications regarding your pets need for vaccinations days and months after your pet has been to their clinic. The staff is nice rude. Never ask to speak to manager cause the staff will make sure you never get one; they will lie, place you on perma hold and after several call backs, promise a call from a manger which never comes. They cut my dog while shaving for an anal gland expression and just casually told me to "keep an eye" on the wound. No further advice. I won't be going here again. read more

We love Hyde Park Animal Clinic. When we moved to Chicago I was nervous, because our former vet was absolutely amazing. HPAC has been a great replacement. Dr. Williams is especially great.They're always great at getting us a prompt appointment or a callback. Their prices are reasonable for the area and quality of service. I must say that I prefer the clinic location to the Stony Island one. It's much less hectic and I find the office staff much more friendly and effecient. I took my cat in when I realised she had a tumour. The vet, a woman whose name I don't remember (I believe she replaced the one who retired) was...eh, fine. She did point out that Frida had a massive plaque problem that should be tended to but also said we would wait till we figured out the tumour issue first. In the meantime, she also suggested kitty was...zaftig and reducing her weight would be ideal (to which I agreed), but then pushed their inhouse brand of kitty food, which irritated me. I made it clear that I was pretty near indigent and that kitty was going to be taken care of by friends chipping AND that I did not want to needlessly prolong her life but wanted palliative care in the worst case scenario. That seemed to cool her off somewhat -- clearly, I wasn't to be a good target for all procedures and food and such. I didn't get a sense of deep empathy or compassion, and I left feeling that my cat's life didn't matter as much as that of someone who would have said they'd be willing to pay anything for as long as needed. Bad taste in my mouth, and I heard from a friend that they tend to push extra procedures and tests. Typical Hyde Park place: they know we're hostage to them in the neighbourhood, so they do as they please. I'm now taking care of my friend's cats (my own darling died) for awhile, and because I don't trust HPAC, we're trekking all the way to the north side to get their care (fortunately, my friend drives, so we can). The receptionists are all lovely and kind, though. The doctor could learn some empathy from them. read more

I've been taking both of my pets, Leah & Stanley to both locations and have had no issues with the service. Dr. Williams was very helpful with my Staffie Mix and her allergies. Dr. Baker is always great and answers my questions and concerns with both pooches. I can tell at times when the front desk staff are a bit agitated based on some of their responses to other clients but that is to be expected at times when dealing with the public. The service for my dogs has been great since moving here a year ago and the 53rd street location is very convenient. read more

I give this place 5 stars for putting up with my partner's demands when our dog was sick. We were both devastated when the veterinarian told us that Barnabee (our dog) has cancer and will not live long. He was our child and you cannot imagine the pain and suffering we went through. The staff treated Barnabee like he was a human. The doctor was honest in telling us that his facility is not adequate for chemotherapy and we should take Barnabee to the UIC vet hospital in Champaign. How many doctors prefer honesty over losing a client who is read to pay any amount for his dog? I totally appreciate that. Kudos for being sympathetic during a rough time in our life and for being honest. We were regular clients of Hyde park vet clinic for many years and hope to go there again if we ever adopt a dog to be our child. read more

My experiences with HPAC were mixed. Overall, the care was fine--no complaints--but I didn't always feel comfortable there. When my cat was really sick and I knew that he might not have a lot of time left, I'd get teary at appointments, and the vet was kind of gruff with me. He actually yelled at me once, when I told him that I wanted him to take out my cat's IV so I could take him home and care for him there. While removing the bandage over my cat's IV, he accidentally cut my cat's arm, drawing blood; I gasped, and the vet rolled his eyes. I don't get it. I know that other people have had good experiences with this particular vet; I just didn't find him to be compassionate at all when my kitty was dying. read more

After giving this place a great review awhile back, I have to update and downgrade. I still recommend it for vet visits, as the vets themselves are great. But I most definitely do not recommend it for boarding. I'm pretty meticulous about the kind of food I give my dogs, and the measurement of said food. I brought my two dogs here for a multi-day stay last month with their food. I actually picked them up a day early and, theoretically, there should have been food leftover. Not so. Why? Because despite my very clear directions about how much they should be fed and when, nobody followed that. My dogs were GROSSLY overfed, and then when they ran out of my food, they were given the "house" food. As I am an investigative reporter by training, I was able to find all of this out only by asking a ton of questions that staffers initially were reluctant to answer. It took me following up with Dr. Wake to get to the bottom of it, and he agreed to buy me a bag of food to make up for it. I took him up on it, but it would have been just as easy to refund me for a night's stay for each dog. My bottom line: If I can't trust you to feed my dogs according to my wishes, I can't really trust you at all. I had to bring them back for an overnight stay recently and this time I was just outdone by the lacksadaisical attitude of the staff. They know full well how cramped they are for space down there, and that there is NO parking in Hyde Park, and yet they move at a snail's pace to get you checked in and checked out. Efficiency and thoroughness does not mean "I'll take my sweet time". Sadly, the staffers seem to think so. I think the vets get how important it is for pet owners to be able to trust the people who are handling their animals -- but the wage-earners who are walking, feeding and checking the animals in could care less. That much is clear. There needs to be some serious retraining of the staff to get their attitudes and business practices together -- especially before they move to their new location. Meanwhile, I'll take my dogs elsewhere. I'll come back for the annual visits and shots, because as long as their prices aren't as astronomical as Burnham Park Animal Hospital, it's a deal. But I'll never board my dogs here again, and wouldn't encourage any other pet owner to do so either. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for. read more

Dr. Wake is indeed incredible, but I feel compelled to write a review that acknowledges Dr. Williams. We booked an appointment with Dr. Wake only to show up and be told he doesn't work on Fridays. (Yeah, that part of our visit could have been better.) I was initially wary, because I remembered how excellent Dr. Wake was from my days at the University. We were relieved to find that Dr. Williams is a fantastic vet, too. Our emotionally needy, erratic cat instantly adored him. She was hunching in her crate like a moody teenager, but Dr. Williams did not reach in and manhandle her. He coaxed her and gently guided her out, then wooed her with Cat Massage. The whole time he was there she never stopped purring, even when he was giving her shots. He listened to our concerns and was very knowledgeable about cat behavior. He is also a cat owner, so he felt our pain and had some funny anecdotes to share. And the bill was more than reasonable. It's a hike for us to get down there, but these guys are worth it. read more

Edit: After posting my review the vet reached out to resolve the problem and get our cats in. I still believe they need more staff because 3 week wait time for a simple issue that could affect the health of pets is not cool but I do appreciate them trying to remedy the issue. DO NOT COME HERE. They are greedy money grabbers who put your pets at risk just because of their love of money. My 2 cats were out of flea/heart worm medication and I called 2 get just ONE DOSE more for each of them until I could get an appointment (Because, by the way, appointments are running out 3 weeks right now) and they refused because they said I was 1 year + 1 month out from my cats yearly checkup. My other cat apparently is only 9-10 months from their last appointment but last time I was there they conveniently didn't mention he was due for a rabies shot and never mentioned a single thing to me since... but now they're refusing to give them flea medicine either because he is "not up to date on his shots". Sounds to me like they are just using that as an excuse because they want their money NOW. My cats come in contact with mosquitos often so as you can imagine I am extremely concerned by the fact that they will be 3 weeks unprotected. They don't actually care about animal health though and this scenario just proves it... heartworm is very serious for cats. When I called the front desk woman was acting like I was an irresponsible pet owner because I was 13 months rather than 12 months out from the appointment and that I should have kept better track if I wanted my cats to have their medications... it's flea medication, not opioids. Plus I am busy.. obviously this is not the place to go if you are a working person if this is how they act. They will just use your pets health to strong arm you into coming in and giving them more, more, more. I am finding a new vet. This is after years of their greedy behavior and other situations like this one but this is just it. read more

I walked in on a Saturday to make an appointment for my 8 year old Shiba Inu. He needed heartworm medication and a basic wellness check up. We were able to get an appointment the following Saturday. This was the first time I had visited a vet as a first-time dog owner. I was a bit nervous, since I didn't really know how to address any pet needs that needed to checked, how the pricing worked, etc. But luckily, it was a very stress free appointment and Dr. Wake was very helpful in answering my questions and explaining certain issues. My pup, Rusty, is still slightly skiddish (he is a rescue), so I was also concerned with how he would interact with the vet. Dr. Wake was very understanding and handled him with care. He even gave Rusty some treats to put him at ease. It was nice that he knew the traits of the breed, so he knew how to pet and handle him. The overall impression I got from this place is that the staff seems happy to work there and loves what they do, which I really appreciate. I will definitely be returning to this clinic for any further needs we may have. read more
