When we first got our puppy, Wilson, we had no idea what we were getting into. He was 8 weeks old and hyper as can be (and still is!). That's when Kim came into the picture. At this point, we were still figuring out how to be dog owners. One day, two weeks into adopting Wilson, we ran into Kim in the neighborhood. She immediately focused on him and told us about her services, etc. Within days, Kim came for an official meet and greet so that we can make sure Wilson was in good hands. Our pup immediately warmed up to her (and started grabbing mouthfuls of hair)! Kim took it all in stride and at that moment, we knew she was the one for him. In the past year and a half, Kim has truly impressed us. She helped us socialize our pup in addition to helping him learn how to walk. She also keeps us updated with pictures during the walk and leaves us fun notes from the perspective of Wilson each day afterwards. (If you haven't already, I would check out her Facebook or Instagram - it's definitely a highlight of my day to check out all of the pictures of the satisfied pups.) Outside of walks, we have used Kim for overnight services for whenever we are out of town. I remember for our first trip, we were freaking out on leaving Wilson and did not want to board him. We contacted Kim and she ensured that a walker stayed overnight with Wilson so that he had someone to cuddle with at night. Now, whenever we plan to go out of town, we always contact Kim. Also, I cannot say enough on how much Kim truly cares about her clients with her business. I know that she makes it a point to seek out only the best walkers to be a part of her team. We've absolutely loved everyone that has walked Wilson - from Kim to Gracie to Andre and then Nick. With all the people that use Kim's services in Logan Square, I know that sometimes it can be a bit difficult for whoever is walking Wilson that day because he'll inevitably run into Kim or Gracie or Andre or Nick and freak out from excitement. The fact that Wilson has loved everyone that has been a part of Kim Walks Dogs really allows me to fully trust and support Kim's business decisions. Kim is extremely flexible and I know that she always exhausts her options to make sure that our pup is taken care of. There have been a handful of times that I've had to ask for a walk last minute, and she has always delivered. I was really reluctant to find a dog walking company for about 3 years because my dog can be such a jerk to other dogs. I finally decided to search Yelp and found Kim Walks Dogs. I explained how my girl is the sweetest in the world to people, but needs someone strong and not afraid of hurting her feelings and putting her in her place. I have VERY high standards and expectations for not only myself but for my precious pup Atlas, Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poople mix) and she manages to surpass them and impress me on a daily basis. I've been using Kim's dog walking services for about 3 months now. My greyhound Dale and I live in Avondale and our previous dog walker didn't tell us they didn't serve our area until after we moved! I was in a scramble to find a new walker and Kim was the first person I called. With a few other greyhounds on the routes of some of her walkers, I felt completely at ease leaving Dale in her care. Dale loves his walker Paul, especially because of his patience. Dale can be stubborn because he loves sleeping and isn't crazy about walks. But he loves getting treats and attention from Paul, and any other walker that might stop by. Kim is always flexible with my ever-changing schedule and always willing to help me figure out ways to schedule in new walks that I might need to add last minute. I have been using Kim Walks Dogs since around April 2016. Our dog walker Alicia comes and visits my bulldog Fitz everyday and even drives him to doggy daycare on Wednesdays! Fitz is an English bulldog so he doesn't do too much walking so Alicia works with his stubborn personality and mostly takes him to potty, cuddles, gives belly rubs, and gives treats and freshens his water bowl. It is so nice as everyday I get a note "from Fitz" after every visit telling me how he was that day and if he went #1 or #2. Fitz can be stubborn and sometimes may have an accident but Alicia is always so nice and cleans it and doesn't complain. Kim is great and easy to work with too in terms of scheduling. I've had last minute work dinners pop up or changes to my schedule & she is always quick to reply and very accommodating! I can't speak highly enough about my experience with Kim and how she runs her business. We've been using Kim Walks Dogs now for a couple of months and we couldn't be happier. I'll be honest, I don't have much experience with other dog walkers or dog walking companies and quite frankly, I really hope I don't ever need to shop around. I've found her prices to be reasonable and fair, your designated dog walker leaves a note about how the days walk was on a white board that was provided by Kim AND they take pictures of your pup which she'll send to you personally or post on Instagram. I also absolutely ADORE our dog walker Andrew. I was initially a bit concerned when looking for someone to walk my 75lb Dogo Argentino/Pit mix because we had just recently rescued him and needed a walker who had a bit of experience managing a big, loveable doofus who was learning manners, leash walking skills and overall obedience and seriously, Andrew has been an absolute blessing. He also has 2 large dogs, one of them being a Pit and so he just gets it. I've never had to worry about our dog with Andrew - he always come within the 2 hour time frame we've set up, his notes on the days walk are hilarious and always make me smile when I get home after a long day at work and most importantly, I know our dog is genuinely being cared for. Over the past couple of months I've had a few last minute [really last minute] walking request's and Kim has always gone above and beyond to see if she can accommodate us and more often than not, she finds a way to work us into her schedule. And if she just can't do it she's honest and upfront about it right away. She's always been reachable by phone, text or email and let me tell you, she's responded to requests for walks via email more quickly than it has taken me to check out in line at Target. Kim is the best! My little girl, Chloe, LOVES Kim. I am so thankful to have such a helpful and reliable dog walker, it is so hard to find in the city. Kim has accommodated me on NUMEROUS occasions for last minute walks when things comes up. She and Danny have been taking care of my old man Scout for a few years now. He's a very 'special' dog in his old age and I would be lost without them to help. I am a first time dog owner of a Goldendoodle (he is now 17 weeks old), If anyone knows anything about Goldendoodle's they are hyperactive and extreme ADD (kinda like me). Oliver is my world, and I would not trust him with many people. I was very hesitant of hiring a dog walker bc I thought they would not love him and take care of him like I di.
