Nieves and his crew did an outstanding job completely rebuilding bottoms up two second story walk on decks complete with waterproofing, siding, decking, railing and painting. The crew was very respectful, conciencious, detailed oriented , skillful and efficient. Everything was done exactly as agreed, turn key, with no cost creep and on time. My roof started leaking new year's eve 2022. That was a Saturday so I called on Monday and was amazed that Ariana got a crew to me in 90 minutes! The crew was exceptional and had the leak fixed shortly, and I was grateful. Thumbs up!! But! On that visit, I received a call back from the main office, was told I needed a new roof. Great, send me a bid! -crickets- It's been 9 days and I've called back twice. First time I was told it "I'll send it now!" I have no bid. The workmen are top notch from what I've seen, really great. We live in Aptos, CA and discovered Ariana Roofing/Nieves and his crew on Yelp about 2 years ago when no other roofers were available to come out for weeks to months to help with our leaky roof. We had not used Yelp in the past for such a potentially big job, but figured "why not?" From the moment we called Nieves he did everything he said he would. He said for us not to worry about the leaks; that he would come out and evaluate them that day and if he could stop them, even if only temporarily, he would do his best to do so. Well, he did come that day, found the leaks, "fixed" them himself while it was raining! When the weather got better they replaced our roof, gutters, and even painted our house. He and his workers were on time, extremely organized, pleasant, respectful, and always cleaned up after themselves. Nieves always responded to any of our calls or questions promptly. Our house felt like new after Ariana Roofing was done!! We have not had any problems with any of the work that they did on our house. Fast forward to two years later~ we are having a big remodel job done. Ariana Roofing did an impeccable job on our 2-3K square ft. roof with a few ridges/valleys/2 skylights. Price was about 1/3 less than bigger name quotes that advertise heavily. The men were pleasant, approachable and worked with us when we wanted to "save" our 2 older skylights. They installed with no guarantee and skylights are water-tight and we are happy to have them. The men seemed so knowledgeable. Nieves said that he sends them to trade school for a period of time. Each day observing their work I couldnt even find trash, nails nor damaged plants -- I wondered at complaints about other roofing companies -- but NOW, I see another local company working and I am shocked at the mess and time it is taking, with the roof sitting with only felt in place, going on 2 weeks. The Owner, Nieves Jauregui, came out as scheduled and gave us an estimate for a new roof and gutters, and also provided helpful information on how we could fix other interior home repairs. We were impressed by his knowledge and his kindness and honesty. He emailed a written quote and we were off and running with our long overdue roof replacement. The project went as scheduled and communication was excellent. Our roof was almost 40 yrs old, so we knew there might be areas with dry rot. Even with the extra work, Ariana's crew finished the project on schedule and we were very happy with the results. Updated Review: One star to three stars. Nieves fixed my issue with the obnoxiously loud downspout issue free of charge. This updated review is just as I will not use yelp as a vessel to get issues fixed after the fact. It would be dishonest to the yelp community for me to erase my initial review and rate 5 stars after getting my issue resolved. I give you the whole picture. Original Review: "FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU; FOOL ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME" I was completely convinced Ariana Roofing was the solution to my gutter issue due to the all 5 star reviews. I called him up for a complimentary quote and Nieves came to my residence in a timely manner. I indicated to him that we wanted the whole front section of the house's gutters replaced as they were leaking. He assured us that this was not necessary as the gutters looked to be in good condition and the problem according to him was a lack of downspouts which was causing an overflow. He did not bother to climb a ladder and inspect the issue to make sure his assessment was right. He was absolutely sure it was a downspout issue. His crew came out that same week to install the downspouts. Within a few hours they completed the job and we told the workers to use a hose to pour water into the gutter to make sure that the issue was indeed fixed. To our amazement, the gutters still leaked! The first thing that came to my mind was "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??" Nieves was notified of the issue and he offered to replace the gutters(keep in mind this is what we had initially told him we wanted) at a discounted price. I don't know about you, but the correct thing to do would be to fix the issue at no cost since his assessment was wrong. Why would I pay extra to have a problem fixed that he was supposed to repair in the first place? His argument was that nevertheless we needed downspouts and he was being generous. He might be right that we needed downspouts to improve water mobility but that is not why we called him for. We agreed to his proposal of a discounted price as we were in desperate need of a gutter replacement as the exterior of the house was recently painted and it was supposed to rain soon. When the rain came, the gutters replacement solved the leaking but now there is an issue with the downspouts he installed that we apparently needed. They make a continuous sound day and night that can be heard inside the house when it rains. It is almost like a grandfather clock ticking. I called Nieves to explain my concern as he had explicitly told me he guarantees all his work. His response was not what I expected, he gave me an explanation that it was normal. Again, he made an assumption without looking at the issue...As far as the guarantee, what guarantee? If he came to my residence and found nothing wrong with their work he would charge me a fee. At this point, I no longer trusted him. This review is intended for those individuals who are frustrated by "professionals" who ensure they will fix an issue and do not. Analogy: who has taken their car to a mechanic, were told the issue, cost of repair, had it repaired and still continued to have car problems? PS I hold a BS in Business Economics from UCLA and I can tell you Nieves has mastered the art of selling. Good for business, bad for customers. Look elsewhere, don't commit the same mistake I did. Ariana Roofing was the best value of the 3 estimates I received. Two others were too busy to give me an estimate so I am happy when a contractor bothers to show up these days. They did a great job and I will try to provide pics. The reason they did not get 5 stars is because I had to pay in full before they would finish the work. It cost about $4k more so I thought that was weird. Also they charge 3% if you use a credit card. So I had to trust them when I paid by check. That is hard for me. Nieves came out and gave us an estimate for just roof caps which was very reasonable . He told us our roof was dry and would probably only last a few more years. He gave us an estimate for a new 30 year roof with copper gutters. The estimate was very reasonable. The copper gutters additional cost was only for materials. He came on Thursday for the estimate and started work on the following Monday. The two workers worked from 8 in the morning until 7 at night. The 3600 square feet of roofing was torn off, gutters on and new everything by that Friday.. Five days!! They cleaned up after themselves everyday and everything was clean when they were finished. I couldn't have asked for a better roofing experience!! If you want a reference, ask Nieves for my number and I will sing their praises and show you my roof....with pride!!! read more

We can't say enough good things about Ariana roofing. They are professional, courteous, reasonably priced and prompt. We had a new roof put on and they also painted the house. They installed six sun tubes. They rerouted a downspout and installed vents in the eaves. They were early to arrive every morning, worked hard all day and they always left the surroundings clean and tidy when they left each evening. Very detail oriented. They worked with our Homeowners Association to obtain the necessary permission, obtained county permits and handled the inspections with no effort on our part. I thought I had a roof leak and had Nieves come out to provide me an estimate for repair. After inspection, he determined the roof was not the problem and determined my fire sprinkler system was leaking. He even took the time, free of charge, to email me an estimate for repairs that would need to be done to my house (drywall, flooring, etc.). They worked quietly and neatly (which in my experience is fairly unusual in the roofing business). The crew cleaned the site nicely each night before leaving my property. The materials and workmanship appeared to be of the highest quality. They didn't cut corners. Nieves clearly knows the technical side of his business. Sunday evening is NOT the time you want to feel drops on your head coming down from your ceiling!! Water was coming out from under the floor baseboard and down the wall. I called my HOA and was connected to the after hours emergency operator. The HOA manager contatcted Ariana Roofing and within 10 minutes, Nieves Jauregui of Ariana had called me. He and his co-worker were in Monterey on an emergency call and could be to my home in two hours. To my amazment and relief, they arrived and quickly assessed the leak's source and in the dark with flashlights on a Sunday night were on top of my two-story roof repairing the sky-light flashing. The leak stopped, the seal prevented further damage and the problem was solved until the sky light could be replaced. These two kind men worked for two hours on a rainy Sunday night on top of my roof. I was very impressed and very relieved!! I manage a four-story condo building whose shingles were recently replaced by Ariana Roofing. Nieves was recommended to us by the fastidious contractor we use for maintenance of our building. We had three proposals and Ariana's was the low bid. We don't usually go with the low bid because quality is sacrificed, but based on our contractor's recommendation we did and couldn't be more pleased. They started the job two weeks after we accepted the proposal and finished the job in the 2.5 weeks Nieves said it would take. Removing the old shingles they found dry rot and because Nieves is a general contractor, his roofers also did the dry rot repair.
