I went in last night to inquire about resizing a gold ring from size 5 1/2 to 4 1/2, and the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Upon entering the store, it appeared closed. There were ripped-up dog pee pads on the floor, and the space felt unkempt and unprofessional. A man eventually came out from the back, seemed visibly annoyed, and barely acknowledged us. When I asked about resizing the ring, he handed us a ring sizer with little explanation. When we asked for guidance--specifically whether the ring should fit tighter or allow room--he offered no real direction. I then asked about the process for resizing, and he immediately quoted $200, stating that they are "the best in the area" and that everyone else is "learning from them." That price raised red flags. Since then, I've contacted two other reputable jewelers who both quoted $50 for the same exact resize. Additionally, the man was wearing a shirt that was ripped, stained, and literally held together with a pipe cleaner. Presentation matters--especially in the jewelry business. I've worked closely with people in this industry for years, and jewelers are typically polished, respectful, and detail-oriented. This experience was the complete opposite. Do not support this jewelry business. I went in there for an interview with Sergio and I was so excited to get some new experience. I told him what I am going to school for and he laughed and said "you'll never make any money", im going to school to be a mental health professional. He asked me if I believe in Covid-19. I said of coarse I do and he told me "it's a hoax" and then proceeded to go to the back and tell his employee how, and I quote, "stupid this girl is". Sergio made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. He also told me how if I was employed that I would need to mess with the customers minds and essentially scam them to make a sale. I wish I didnt have to give a rating! This place was horrible!! I had to literally beg for help from the Manager, who was too busy eating lunch. The store was dirty. I had to ask for him to show me items, and he continuously rude to me. The guy working here will get off his seat if you look like you're going to buy something. If you don't, he will just sit there and ignore you. Once he finally gets up, he's generally rude if you aren't looking for anything expensive. Once went into this place trying to price out some gold I wanted to get rid of. One jeweler gave me a certain amount so I went to him to see if he would make a better offer. When I didn't tell him what the other jeweler offered me, he said "i'm not here to play games, get out, I don't want your business" Sergio is a douche and honestly if I wasn't having a decent day, his would have been much worse :) Also, if you notice, he tries to say sorry to everything after the fact, I think he is losing business because of his negative reviews and now sees that he should change his attitude, although this doesn't make me want to shop here again. Arias Jewelers really has a lot to offer. Aesthetically, the place is very pleasant. I feel quite comfortable when I visit. The customer service is superior to what I've received at the chain store jewelers that I have visited. Sergio and Tiffany are both quite personable. They do not practice high-pressure sales tactics. They take the time to really listen to their customers. They are very helpful and knowledgable when it comes to making a jewelry purchase, having a battery installed in a watch, or if you're just window shopping. The selection and prices of their items are way better than what is offered at the Emerald Square Mall. The next time you're in the market for a wedding band, mother's ring, birthstone pendant, or even in need of having a new battery installed in your favorite watch, check out Arias Jewelers next to Dunkin' Donuts and KCs restaurant, instead of the high-priced, high-pressure, mall-based chain jewelry stores. I went there to look at wedding ring sets and immediately felt like I was being pressured to buy a used car. The owner seemed really sleazy and pushy. I told him that I wanted to look at some less expensive things and suddenly he was completely disinterested. Not to mention there were nails coming out of his show cases. He should do something about that. It's obviously a hazard to small children. Place is a complete joke. In addition, the owner Sergio had tried to discredit my review claiming that I've never been to his small store located in the Emerald Mall. Arias Jewelers did an amazing job helping my fiancé and me choose our wedding bands. Sergio spent almost 3 hours with my fiancé choosing an engagement ring and arranging all the details to have it shipped down to the Keys for a special vacation proposal! He even called after it was delivered to make sure everything got there and to check if I said yes! When we went back almost a year later to buy our bands, he remembered us and spent another hour helping us find the right pieces. He and his staff were knowledgeable, engaging, and fun to be around. I had to go into Aria's at the Emerald Mall a few weeks ago to see if the winter line of Chamilia beads were in, because I was looking for some for a while now for the ladies at work. When I walked into the store it was a lot neater then I have seen in the past, although the decorations were distasteful and the cases were in older shape. I had been asking for these beads for weeks and every time I went in I was told to come back that they ordered them and would be in in a few weeks. 2 times I went in and was told to come back, that they were not in yet. Finally they were in, but I could not locate the ones that I wanted for the girls. The selection of x-mas beads was slim.. I would try a store that carries the entire line if you want a certain bead because they may not have it at this store. The staff when I went there was not on the floor. I think she was in the back room, I tried to make a little noise to get someone out there and it worked. The manager came out from the back and asked if I needed help. I asked about the beads and he was not to friendly when I asked and seemed VERY stressed and even almost angry which honestly turned me off to the store all together. Little did he know that I was in the market for 9 Chamilia beads for the girls, I think because he thought I just wanted one X-mas bead and it would be a small sale for him, so he was trying to brush me off. Most stores would be attentive no matter what the cost of the item they are interested in. I am not going to go back there for beads. I will go online or to another Chamilia or Pandora retailer. read more

I wish there was a lower rating because I would give it to this store and it's owner. I bought my engagement ring at Arias and was basically ripped off. I already had the main diamond and bought a setting from Arias with small diamonds. The owner claimed that the diamonds that came in the ring were inferior and that he would give me upgraded diamonds at little extra cost. We thought that would be nice. WE THOUGHT WRONG! When I got my wedding band from the same maker at a different store I noticed how much nicer the diamonds that came with the wedding band were. I also saw the setting that I bought in that same jeweler with the diamonds that it comes with. The diamonds were much brighter and the ring was considerable lower priced. I went to another jeweler who confirmed the diamonds Arias put in to "upgrade" were inferior to the ones that came with the ring. Every time I look at the ring these diamonds take away from what is otherwise a gorgeous ring. The rhodium that he put on the ring also was completely gone in a couple of weeks so I wanted to get it redone so that the ring would look nice for the wedding. Based on the opinions of other jewelers if it was done properly it would not have faded so quickly. I did not go in there to complain. I called prior to coming in and was told to come in and they would redo it. I went back to him and he told me the cost so I said that I didn't feel there should be a charge after only a couple of weeks. He basically threw me out of the store. I was basing this on the information that I got from other jewelers. I at no time raised my voice. I only stated that I felt there should not be a charge based on my research. He told me to get out of his store and came at me waving his finger and yelling at me not to come back. He is rude and has no business ethics. I would keep away form the store.
