It is not your usual florist…read more No large containers of flowers in the front or refrigerator that usually create that lovely florist greenhouse smell. It is small, quaint and delicate. The arrangement I purchased consist of pastel colored mini carnations, sweet pea, peony and a few delicate green fillers. A bit costly for what they are . I forgot to ask for the packet to put in the water and none was included. The flowers were wrapped in a brown tissue paper unlike the plastic wraps one usually gets. Though in my vase, they are pretty. Yujin was working on a dried flower feathery arrangement. A work in progress as she placed and studied each piece put into the arrangement. It was - Pretty. I noted hand made soaps of many kinds. She told me about a few of them and I purchased two. (see pix) for 8 dollars each. Again, pricy though unique. She also sells bath- salts- and gave me one of a rose scent to try to see if I like it. The place was quiet and appeared clean. It is on Park avenue off of Wantagh Avenue not far from Sunrise Highway.

Tin Can Studios uses flowers in a way that is breathtaking, tasteful and makes flowers into sculptural works of art. We worked with Ingrid and Ashley to do the florals and design for our wedding ceremony, reception and welcome dinner. Each design flowed together but was unique, the colors were incredible, and the flowers beyond gorgeous. It was the most beautiful event we could have ever imagined. Ingrid and Ashley also helped us bring together all of the linens, glassware, candles and other design elements to go with the flowers. We had many meetings leading up to the wedding, and Ingrid and Ashley were always so easy to work with, receptive of our ideas, and hardworking to bring our ideas to life. They were there for our entire wedding weekend, taking care of every design details seamlessly, and the entire team was so hardworking in the brutal heat. They even put together a massive stained glass installation in our venue's ceiling to reflect light and add color to the large room that our reception was in. We cannot recommend Tin Can Studios enough - you will truly have the most beautiful flowers for your event, and will get to work with the most kind and supportive people in the process. We love Ingrid, Ashley and the Tin Can team so much that we have worked with them again since our wedding for a surprise birthday party, and are looking forward to our next event with them :). I picked this florist because 1) flowers looked beautiful on pictures 2) fellow korean and Koreans are good w their hands/eyes so I knew she would produce good stuff 3) love supporting local small business. 4) previously bad experience using national retailer--Do not ever go with flowers.com or 1-800-flower type of vendors. I understood and asked if there would be any type of compensation as this type of gift is meant to be timely. The man called Jay said no and refunded me without any explanation. He had all of my contacts and I wrote back saying that I would still like the arrangement and that it is for someone quite high power. He responded that I should go somewhere else because he offered "normal florals". For a business that deals with emotion I.e birthdays, weddings, funerals, illness etc. the EQ was really lacking. I do not believe I said anything that warranted this treatment and was left feeling very disappointed as the company looks like it does beautiful work. :(

Rawan…read moreagreed to give a refund by "the end of the week" for the garland (but would not admit it wasn't present), but has never sent the money and has left my emails unanswered and my refund unpaid for over a month until I informed her of my decision to report her business to BBB. That email she replied in 20min, telling me to stop "threatening" her, that I was not being patient enough, and CRITICIZING ME FOR NOT TIPPING HER. My bridal party and family picked up the florals at the end of the night, even myself (the bride). I made it very clear when the breakdown period would be to prevent the venue from charging overtime, and I was told that they would clean up. Rawan herself was not even at the wedding setting up, just two people whom she hired, and I thought they were strangers coming into the wedding until I noticed them with supplies (which I was informed later were also never collected from the venue). Another issue is that my bridal bouquet had a lot of flowers with the stamens of pollen left on, and it stained my dress before the wedding even started. In all of my photos I'm holding the bouquet away from me to prevent my bouquet from further staining my dress. I luckily was able to put my hair in front of the yellow stain for the rest of the wedding so it wouldn't be seen. I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received. The arrangements that were present came out how I wanted, but I have to warn people especially seeing that I am not the only client she owes money to. UPDATE: Refund was received 6 weeks later. If you would like any installation, use caution because it seems that so long as she pays for the materials, even if you do not receive the service, she does not feel she is obligated to refund you for the money you paid to have the installation present at your wedding (see reply below).

She worked with us to stay within our budget and after sharing a bunch of inspiration images and talking about the vibe of the wedding, she somehow transformed what was in my imagination into the most magnificent display of flowers I have ever seen. Like totally nailed it. My bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets were GORGEOUS; she was so creative with the florals for the ceremony and the tablescapes (as well as the candles to go with it), it was STUNNING. Our venue had a big blank wall and she created the most incredible floral installation that was utterly breathtaking. Guests were raving about how beautiful it all was and it really made the whole scene magical. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was working with Aurora Botanica!
