This is a difficult review to write because my experience was bad but I also want this business to succeed. I will just say that for valentines days of the future, they need to prioritize organization. I ordered $100 worth of roses to be delivered the day before Valentine's Day, I payed extra for delivery and I tipped on top of that ahead of time ($140 in total). They promised over the phone that the roses would be delivered by 5pm. They never showed up and they didn't answer the phone. I then went to the shop and stood online for 40 minutes. When I told them what happened they then tried to find the roses and couldn't. They found a small bouquet of roses and handed them to me with no offer for partial refund but they offered me a used glass vase. They seem like nice people but I am just not happy with my experience. read more

My sister who recently passed away and our family expected flower arrangements to be apart of her service and this was not the case. I'm so happy my bestie put this spot on my radar. This Black owned business is also family run. During my visit I was able to meet the two owners, Olga and Dezzie, and two of their children Ciara and Chloe. I was able to chat with them and learn more about their love story which ties into why they opened the shop. Our conversation was warm and honestly felt like catching up with family. You can build your own bouquet or have them make it for you. They charge by stem, so you can tell them exactly what you want or give them you budget and be surprised. I gave Chloe my budget of $30 and she made a beautiful bouquet for me. In addition to flowers, they sell potted plants, pot holders, plant hangers and pillows designed by Olga. I used to be one of the girls that loved building a bouquet when I made a Trader Joe's run. I'm becoming more intentional about where I spend my money and will prioritize making this my go to stop for flowers! Please add them to your list! read more

Absolute excellent service. A work colleague in NYC lost her mom and we are in Oakland CA (but I am from Brooklyn NYC not far from where the services are). I asked a couple of friends and they mentioned I should look near the church where the services are held. A friend mentioned Verdure Florist I literally called 24 hours (if that) before the quiet hour at the church and was blessed to speak with Olga. She was amazing. I got to quickly view their digital photo album she sent to my mobile phone (don't you just love technology) and she shared the amazing floral arrangement work of her husband. This dynamic duo have been preparing arrangements for years and this was so amazing and special I was so pleased it felt right. I am careful since this is a highly personal matter, sending flowers that are appropriate for a home going but they did an EXCELLENT job and on such short notice (helped me pick a suitable option, based on the color needed due to the faith of the people (Pentecostal) and even delivered them timely for the start of the service. Tasteful, elegance and thoughtfully put together with just the right flowers that were stately and peaceful. I'll include the image of the pedestal arrangement (placed next to the casket since we weren't aware if the family had a laid floral wreath or arrangement. I am so very glad that they are in the neighborhood we should all go to support this business - please think of them first, if you are in the area and need flowers. I heard about them from a piece done on News 12, about them. I needed a raffle prize for an event I was hosting, and wanted to support a local business - so I bought a gift card. The experience of being a customer who knew nothing about flowers was so pleasant that when I needed a nice bouquet for a hospitalized aunt, and no bodega bouquet was gonna be good enough, I walked the few blocks here and was able to make her a beautiful personalized arrangement, that was reasonably priced. Found Verdure and Vino (at Verdure Florist) on Eventbrite while looking for a bouquet design class to take my friend for her birthday. We had the absolute best time! Ciara, Chloe, and Dalton are the cutest siblings (we love a family owned business!). They all made us feel like friends the second we walked in the door, and were so knowledgeable as we learned how to create the perfect bouquet. The class was both informative and fun! A perfect mix of hanging out and having wine, and also getting all of your floral questions answered and learning tips for future bouquet building.
