Scott's Flowers deserves a shout-out for being a client-friendly business. I ordered a bouquet for my wife's birthday. The address was a corporate office- I made a mistake, and the flowers got sent to the wrong place. I was treated with empathy and respect by the woman I spoke to on the phone. The flowers were redelivered the next day, free of charge. They are magnificent- I mean, visually, the arrangement is made with love; balanced and thoughtfully orchestrated. They even added additional balloons as an extra gesture of kindness since they came a day late. This company is great, and I highly recommend them. Established in 1947.

The original company was bought from the Scott Family in 1982 by our father, Robert Palliser, Sr. As an honored Vietnam veteran, Robert Sr. certainly knows how to jump in the trenches with the best of them, and he brought that spirit to the great world of flowers. Through many years of hard work and a true love for the floral industry, "The Bob Man" grew this business into the great company you see today. Robert Sr. remains actively involved in the company, sharing his expertise and energy as he passes the flower torch to the second generation of Scotts leadership. Beginning in 2011, his three sons, Robert Jr., Chris and Jonny, now manage all of the daily operations. Like father, like sons, we share the common goal of maintaining & developing long-standing happy relationships with both our clients and vendors. My first impression was that it reminded me of a food hall similar to what I experienced in various cities in Japan. The variety of foods available is impressive and you really can find it all here, from an Italian grocer to Japanese to the various food stands offering everything from BBQ to the best halvah I've ever had. And there's a Pearl River Mart and other places to find gifts and souvenirs. My favorite of this ilk is Muji Market, which has all the Japanese amazing things! Also of note: very clean bathrooms. It reminds me of the bathrooms at Grand Central, a lot of stalls, sinks in the center, only much, much more pleasant. I'll be back as soon as I can. It's silly that I didn't come here when I actually lived in New York.

Wanted to highlight a few more stores here for this review: - Moon Man Foods: a Brooklyn-based company, they have a small stand about a third of the way thru the market (walking east to west), selling southeast Asian kaya jam, which is coconut-based and contain eggs, coconut milk, sugar, starch, and salt. They come in pandan, ube, and Java palm sugar (aka gula melaka) flavors. - Pearl River Mart and Pearl River Mart Foods: back in the day they used to be located in SoHo on Broadway, though rising rents made them relocate, and I'm glad they're still around! They carry all sorts of Asian-inspired decor, serving ware, stationery, and their "Foods" location downstairs is combination of Asian grocery, bubble tea (Milk & Tea), and Korean and Chinese snack/takeout stands (Kimbap Lab and Mao's Bao's). - Muji Market: this is a smaller location that carries a narrower assortment than your average Muji (house wares, basic apparel, accessories, kitchenware, snacks), though they have a full cafe serving coffee and matcha, simple Japanese lunch items like bowls, sandwiches and bento. Cafe prices seem a little higher probably due to the location. - gallery art: there is a small whitewashed hallway gallery of maybe a couple dozen small pieces by local artists, featuring NYC-centric photos, sketches, paintings, multi-media. Found this fun and entertaining!

If only there were 6 stars available! This is the best, nicest and most rewarding (i.e., value for your money) florist ever. I have traditionally used one or both of the mega online florists - they do a nice job, but never again. First, I always thought they were less expensive, but by the time you add in delivery, etc., not really. Second, although they do indeed deliver nice arrangments, they don't hold a candle to what you get from Scott's. Third, I'd rather support a locally owned business than a faceless conglomerate. I found this place by receiving an arrangement for my birthday from my boyfriend while he was overseas on business. I have never seen anything so magnificent. It was delivered to my office and countless people commented on how unusually stunning it was. So, when I decided to send a non-occasion arrangement to my secretary (just to say thanks for doing a nice job every day - sometimes it's nice to do that when there's no "special" day calling for it), I chose Scott's. Wow. They did it again. There's nice and there's truly impressive. This is the latter. I'm a loyal fan and from now on, it's Scott's - period. Thank you Scott's. Steve Y. read more

My wife was staying at Springhill suites this past weekend as she was designing looks for Couture Fashion Week in Time Square. I had worked through her hotel previous to her arrival looking for a flower shop that was near by that would deliver a spectacular arrangement of roses. They had recommended their next door neighbor, Scott's flower shop. I spoke to Teresa at Scott's flower shop who was very communicative, and she put together a beautiful arrangement that was hand-delivered to the hotel. Spring Hill suites also ensured they made it to her room while she was away, in prompt view of opening the door. My wife had tears and called me immediately. It made the occasion, emotion and milestone all that much better, as I was unable to be there and home in Minneapolis. Thank you, Teresa for making this perfect for amazing wife, Jessica Mae. We obtained the phone number 1-800-SCOTTISH (800/726-8847) because we used to breed Scottish Terriers. We no longer receive calls intended for us at this number, but we do receive calls for Scott Flowers in New York and we're in California. The calls begin before we arise in the morning. This is both a bother, a time-waster, and a cost to us. So far this year, we can count over 5 calls, almost all of which are from the New York area. These numbers come to us because Scott Number has one inverted set of numbers different from ours (800 726 8874). It's obvious they obtained this number you have intentionally since it has most of your company name spelled out in the number. People who call some argue that they called the number on the website, so obviously they are irked. I have asked the company to assume responsibility for the number, but they do not reply. They are inconveniencing their customers who call us and ourselves. read more

I ordered a lovely bouquet online yesterday afternoon for a dear friend who lives in Washington DC. My friend is here in Manhattan staying at a hotel on 33rd Street while her husband is undergoing massive, complicated surgery at NYU Langone. After searching many sites in Manhattan within a close proximity to the hotel and reading the reviews, I finally settled on Scotts Flowers. The store had already closed when I made my purchase online and I asked in the Comments Section IF the flowers could possibly be delivered today before Noon. Imagine my delight when my friend sent me a photo, a text message, and called me at exactly noon. "Thank you, Christine! You are lifting my heart. The flowers are gorgeous!" wrote my friend. They're really so wonderful and so pleasant! Their florists are gifted as well as their customer service is awesome. I called to order a bouquet, and I do not understand anything about flowers and did not have a special arrangement in head. So I simply told them a listing of adjectives ("sweet, modern, intimate but not too much, perhaps pink roses") and they put together a stunning pink-and-green roses and tulips arrangement which was simply perfect, artistically arranged, energetic... even the tissue paper wrapped round the bouquet was cut and arranged attentively to showcase the blooms. I went to pick it up several hours after I purchased, and everyone there was so pleasant! They even allow me to use their bathroom to change out of my tights (the day started off chilly but got super hot). Undoubtedly going back to them any time I require a florist. read more

As a Covid bride who had to cancel a destination wedding and re-plan a NYC wedding in less than two months, I am so happy we used Scott's Flowers!! There are not enough stars available to reflect the service and quality that they provide. Chris, Olya and the entire team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our micro-wedding more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. No detail was spared, communication was always prompt and thorough, and the execution of both delivery and set up on the big day went perfectly. In addition to creating the most gorgeous variety of floral arrangements for our long reception table, they made sure every detail of the tablescape was perfectly and thoughtfully arranged. Scott's Flowers has unique, high end flowers and exceptional, outstanding service. In the past, I have received flowers, centerpieces, and plants from them, so when I recently wanted to order an orchid for a friend who had just moved into a new space in her midtown office, I decided to call them. I worked with Rob. He was courteous, had great suggestions, and was able to have the plant delivered early the next morning even though I called quite late. It took only several minutes to place the order. My friend was thrilled with the orchid and received many, many compliments from her co-workers. I am beyond happy with my experiences at Scott's Flowers NYC. I found this cute little shop while walking to lunch one day. I stepped inside and was immediately greeted by a very energetic young gentleman named Robbie. Though a tad quirky, his knowledge and recommendations were perfect. I ended up purchasing a beautiful arrangement, entirely Robbie's suggestion, for my girlfriend which she absolutely loved. Whether it be flowers for Mother's Day, Birthdays or just showing someone I still care Scott's has been my go to ever since. I just called Scotts and ordered a gorgeous green plant and a box of chocolates for immediate delivery! The salesperson, Kate, was lovely! She was friendly and knowledgeable and we even shared a few laughs as I discussed my inability to keep plants alive. I wanted to grab a little something for my wife last week on the way home and came across Scott's Flowers. I was immediately attended to and told the employee exactly what I was looking for. Within moments, I was presented with a bouquet that was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. This time I had a couple of questions with regard to the two arrangements, the type of flowers I'd like and the addition of a single rose to complement the arrangements. In March, I contacted Scott's Flowers because one of my friends was having a rough week. I am a guy and I was getting a girl flowers. She wasn't my girlfriend so I was in a tough spot deciding on what kind of arrangement I should send her. They were extremely helpful on this issue. I went to Scott's at the suggestion of a Yelp review. I needed something in the neighborhood that was quick, a good value and unique. Another reviewer mentioned they have nice, inexpensive bouquets already made. I saw those, but I wanted something special. The staff seemed pretty busy, but Someone came right out to greet me.
