I have FINALLY found a place that meets my expectations when it comes to the care and safety of my fur babies. First off- Jacq is simply the best. Great communication and service. Maria is very sweet. They are both genuine and I can feel the warmth and care they have for the pups! I am using them again and not because I NEED to but because I WANT to! I TRUST Z Pet Hotel to take care of my pups and give them the attention they need while keeping them safe!! Thank you so much Jacq and Maria!!

We were greeted by a very nice lady who lead us to the "luxury suite"; we were surprised by the warm facility which smelled of urine. The cat suite was spacious for a cat and enclosed with a full glass door; the toys and flooring in the room were zip tied together and frayed, the bedding and towers were covered in fur and dried food. I expect some wear and tear, it's not realistic to provide new toys and bedding for every cat but I do expect basic maintenance and cleanliness! Our biggest disappointment was location of the cat room , advertised as a calm space was directly next to the dogs; everything could be heard in the cat room, no sound proofing at all! This advertising for the suite was misleading and I never would've booked if I read honest reviews. I also need to recognize some positives, the response for scheduling was quick. once I reached out requesting updates, photos were sent the same day or next day with a follow up text . Great location if you're heading to/from the airport or staying on the strip. Upon pick up my kitten smelled of urine; we bathed him twice and had to discard many of his toys. Tip- schedule a tour of any facility, don't rely solely on reviews or conversations with the facility.

I'm a bit iffy on this place. Why? So I have been to a few of the daycares around town. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.

I normally don't write reviews like this, but after hearing what happened with my granddogs while…read moremy daughter was out of town for a funeral, I feel like I need to say something. These aren't just dogs to me. They are my granddogs, and they are deeply loved. I know how much my daughter worries about them and how seriously she takes choosing someone to care for them. I want to be fair and acknowledge that my daughter should have insisted on seeing their accommodations before leaving them. She knows that now. But she was leaving town for a funeral and had to make a difficult decision. She trusted that a business whose job is to board animals would provide a safe and appropriate place for them. While she was away, she kept trying to calm herself down by reading reviews and telling herself, "They'll be okay. They love dogs. They're taking care of her." She was 10 hours away and even worried that she was bothering the facility by asking questions. She wasn't bothering them. She was paying for a service and asking about the well-being of her dogs. Once she started feeling like something wasn't right, she began asking questions. She repeatedly asked to see where her dogs were staying and requested a photograph of the accommodations. Those questions were ignored. Completely. She wasn't given answers or reassurance. She was left 10 hours away trying to convince herself everything was okay while her concerns were being ignored. Eventually, she trusted her instincts and went to get her dogs as soon as she could. Only after the dogs were home did she finally receive the photograph she had been asking for. When I saw it, I was shocked. The accommodations looked like a prison cell to me. I have to ask: does that look like the kind of environment that would make a worried pet owner feel confident that "they love dogs and they're taking care of her"? If the accommodations were appropriate, why was it so difficult to show them to her when she asked? My daughter also specifically instructed the facility that her dogs were not supposed to be around other dogs and that her two dogs, who are sisters, were not supposed to play together. Those instructions were not followed. Being told afterward that those things were "allowed" does not make it acceptable. Allowed by the facility does not mean authorized by the owner. My daughter knows her dogs. She gave those instructions for a reason. And this is what concerns me about other animals. What if the next dog is frightened, reactive, elderly, medically fragile, or simply doesn't tolerate unfamiliar dogs? What if an owner specifically says their dog must remain separated and that instruction is ignored? An unexpected interaction can turn into a fight in seconds. Another family's animal could potentially be seriously injured because someone decided an owner's instructions were optional. My granddogs came home healthy, and I am incredibly grateful. But nothing bad happening this time does not make the decisions acceptable. You shouldn't have to wait for an animal to be hurt before safety and an owner's instructions become important. I am also very concerned about the difficulty my daughter had communicating with the facility. When you have someone's animals in your care, there should be a clear and reliable way for the owner to reach you, especially during severe thunderstorms when you know one of the dogs is terrified of thunder. My daughter wasn't being difficult. She was being a responsible pet owner. I'm thankful my granddogs are home. But I'm angry that my daughter spent so much of her time away trying to convince herself her dogs were okay instead of receiving straightforward answers from the people she was paying to care for them. Trusting the facility without seeing everything first may have been her mistake. But once she became uncomfortable and started asking questions, those questions should have been taken seriously--not ignored. To every pet owner reading this: ask questions. Insist on seeing the accommodations. Don't apologize for wanting to know where your animal is. Don't worry about bothering the people you're paying. And if something feels wrong, listen to your instincts. You are trusting someone with a life you love. My granddogs will never go back. I sincerely hope other pet owners learn from this experience before they find themselves miles away, trying to convince themselves everything is fine while their instincts are telling them otherwise. Our animals cannot speak for themselves. We have to speak up for them.

They do a great job keeping pet parents informed and will reach out if they notice anything out of the ordinary, even something as minor as an upset stomach. I really appreciate knowing that they're paying attention and that my border collie isn't just another dog in the yard. I also want to give a special shout-out to managers Aurora and Stef. We recently brought our pup Beary to Buddies on a recent trip out to Vegas and I gotta say, we were…read moreso happy with our decision to board him there! Originally, we had a reservation back home with our normal pet resort, but didn't want to be away from Beary for so long; We often have to drop him off a day before our trip and don't pick him up again until the day after we get back, so that's an extra two days without the little guy (and two extra days of boarding to boot). So we looked into the possibility of boarding him close to our hotel while we were in town. A family member sent us a recommendation to go to Buddies and my wife reached out to ask about vacancy for the weekend and the owners got back to us right away to let us know they would be able to take him in and walked her through the process of submitting all the necessary documentation and clearing him to stay. Our little guy is not fixed yet, so unfortunately, he was unable to be group boarded (which is typcial). Check-in was a breeze, and He had a nice large play area to have all to himself and was boarded in a private suite. They also took him out for a walk twice a day while he was there, as well as playtime with the staff constantly. What was really awesome was that they would send us pics of him during his walks, playtime, and before bedtime. It was really awesome to get the periodic updates...which really put us (especially the kids) at ease. And it was really reassuring to know he was close by to us. Staff was super nice and friendly. The consistent updates really made an enormous difference for us. Our usual resort does not do that...so that put them way above. They seemed to genuinely enjoy Beary's company. We would DEFINITELY bring him back here again on future trips (and that is more often than not) and I wish they were located close to home...or that we lived in Vegas so we could bring him more often...wishful thinking =p
