Over the course of six weeks, we saw such a positive transformation in our puppy, Moose. The group class was small and intimate, which made it easy for both of us to be involved in the training process. What we really appreciated is that Stephy wasn't just training our puppy she was also teaching us about puppy behavior, communication, and how to be better dog parents. In general the indoor dog park is a cool concept. My older socialized dog would've been ok here. This ended up not being a great place for my younger dog, who I wanted to get socialized and trained. I was about to buy the puppy classes but then I met the trainer Stephy/Stephanie and decided not to. In our first 30 minute convo she spoke for 20 mins. My second question to her was simply "are you the trainer who supervises indoor dog park" She told me no and then spoke for 10-15 minutes about the differences between her and the other trainer. She talks a lot about going to college for dog training and how other trainers are simply not as good as her. I would expect her to ask a little more questions so it felt like more of a consultation. I also felt like she didn't understand boundaries. She kept contacting me about vet records even though I explained it was a holiday. I mentioned that twice. Despite that she moved with her own urgency until I had to tell her there was no rush on our end. I also asked a question on another day and asked her to text or send a voice note. She did for a couple of exchanges but then called me anyway. And when I explained I couldn't absorb the info during a call she said "well I wanted to call you so you could learn about dogs" But she never asked me what training experience I had in the first place ‍‍‍ Anyways, not for me but the general concept is cool considering how hot it is. read more

We're back at it again with the amazing Stephy- but this time for agility! Each week we are challenging ourselves with new obstacles like tunnels, hurdles, weaving courses, an a-frame and even a teeter-totter. We're in week five of six and I can say we'd LOVE to do it again to continue building our skills. This is a great way to bond with your pup while having fun. I had really high expectations for this place because a friend had recommended them and apparently they were voted one of the top daycares. But after the third visit, my dog came home injured and passed out for the entire night, which I don't think is very healthy. I got mixed responses on why he might have come home with a limp that lasted about 4 days in the end. It made me think that they weren't watching the dogs properly and there's very little down time for these dogs. Since I can't trust them to watch my dog and make sure that he doesn't get hurt, we've moved on to another place. By the way I've been to several other daycares in town and this never happened so having it happen on only day three of coming here is pretty concerning. Plus it should probably be a red flag that any place charges extra for you to watch what's happening on a webcam so you know what's happening at this place. That would have been very helpful for me to understand what happened to have to keep my dog at home for 5 days to recover. read more

We love Barx Parx! They truly care about the dogs, giving them kisses and hugs, playing w them. They do fun things like pictures w themes (Patriotic, Summer fun). Coco gets really excited when I tell her she's going to "school" for the day and doesn't want to leave when we pick her up from daycare. The other thing I love is that the park rangers watch while they play and will intervene if play is too rough etc. We have boarded Coco overnight in preparation for us going on a long weekend trip and she loved it! She was so worn out from playing with her friends that she slept the entire next day! The boarding is wonderful because there is a park ranger there overnight and unless you want your dog in a kennel, the dogs all sleep together. Instead of her being at home w a dog sitter she doesn't really know with no one to play with, this option is fantastic! Don't let your pup miss out, check them out for yourself! read more

I have been boarding and taking my Wilson (corgi) for daycare here for over 4 plus years. The staff is amazing always helpful. I love the pictures and the report cards. They have been a life saver to me these past years. My little Wilson can be a handful and loves to talk a lot. I'm so happy I have this amazing place so close to me. I love how safe Barx Parx is with checking to make sure all the dogs have updated vaccines. My veterinarian always warns against public dog parks because half the dogs aren't vaccinated. I love the reminders of upcoming vaccinations because my dates are all over place. I might be moving and I know I will not find a place this amazing for Wilson. They truly all care. Stephanie, our dog trainer has helped us tremendously with our 1 1/2 year old Cane Corso, Soraya. We sent Soraya to a 6 week training camp in Utah. When she returned, we discovered she still needed a lot of work which was challenging for us. After doing some reading, we decided to use a prong color as it was advised by many owners of Mastiiffs. We felt bad about having to use one, but were desperate and in love with Soraya. While it seemed she responded to the collar regarding not pulling, her other puppy habits did not improve. We met Stephanie through Barx Parx. She was against prong collars except in special cases and told us why. We immediately ceased using the prong collar and were surprised when Soraya began pulling again. She had learned absolutely nothing. She only responded to the collar because it was uncomfortable and likely painful. We felt horrible. Stephanie quickly took over training not only Soraya but us. It was definitely a great match! Stephanie is gentle, but firm, and she has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her communication skills are excellent, and Soraya immediately responded to her. She taught us how to train Soraya with high praise, high reward treats and lots of love. Soraya quickly responded to the training. Positive reinforcement was the key; not a prong collar nor an E Collar which we also had tried. Soraya no longer pulls, sits and stays until commanded to do so. Further, Soraya does not eat her food until given permission and understands "down" for lay down. She also sits and stays at bottom or top of stairs until we signal her to come. These are just some of the examples. This training experience relieved us of so much anxiety and stress. We just wanted to love and enjoy Soraya and now we do as Stephanie has instilled confidence in us all. Thank you, Stephanie for sharing with us your magic and yourself with us. read more

Absolutely love taking my dog there! She has been going for over a year and it makes me SO HAPPY to see her tail go crazy in the car when she realizes we are a block away. Everyone knows her name, so I know that they are engaging with her and give her all the attention her clingy butt needs. Best things about it: - Indoor Park to avoid the extreme heat or cold - Webcam for when you miss your fur baby while they are at daycare or overnight - Stephy (the trainer) is freaking amazing. We did a 6 week course with her and a couple of training sessions while she was boarding. My baby LOVES her and looks for her EVERY time we go to the park. She is very responsive to the homework and honestly Stephy trained me to be a better communicator with my girl. - When you get a premium membership they take photos of your dog at play and rest and are really good about responding to any concerns (my dog refuses to eat..) The Not So Best things about it: - As a previous post said, it can get a little stinky/stale in there but they're dog the best they can with air purifiers and fresheners. And they are constantly cleaning and disinfectants are available - The price for Grooming is higher than other places (I could be wrong but I think it's $64/hr and they will quote what they estimate the timing to be) but Ray is AWESOME!!! She does it as an all inclusive (nail trim, teeth brushing, cut, blowout, ear trim) so it might make sense for some people!! My bulldog attends doggy daycare 1x weekly here, and she comes home completely wiped out - a tired dog is a good dog, they say. ;) The staff seem to genuinely care about her, and Coco loves them. I like that the dogs roam free (no kennels), and they also offer fun add-ons, such as holiday photos, paw print crafts, and "barkcuterie" boards! I couldn't be more THRILLED to have BarxParx here in Vegas-- in fact, I WISH they'd open up ANOTHER one, say... near Spring Valley or Summerlin? Ahhhhh that would be PERFECT-- and it is SOO NECESSARY for the health of our city's socialized dogs! You see, I absolutely SWEAR by Puppy Socialization classes-- my first dog, Arrow the Airedale (star of stage and screen-- no really, you can find him on FB/ IG!!) learned bite inhibition (!!) and how to get along with all kinds of 2-leggeds and 4-leggeds as well as various commands and motor skills (ramps, obstacles, his old NYC "school" even had a POOL for the dogs!!) within DAYS of starting ... I mean, I can train my dogs and get them exposed to all of that too, but not on the consistent scale and helpful supervision of other trainers and responsible pet parents within a dog-safe environment... BRING ON BARXPARX! My second pup, Scrappy, started attending at 12 weeks old, literally the week we brought him home from the breeder's. It has been 4 weeks of PURE joy, his and ours (myself and my husband)... watching him interact with everyone and breaking the monotony of life-as-usual every Sunday from 2-2:30 (but usually a bit longer than that, if we're lucky!) Stephy Gonzalez the EXPERT trainer and doggo guru always finds teachable moments in every class, and I always come away knowing more than when I walked in. In fact, I cannot wait to start Scrappy's obedience and agility training when he is ready (neutered). I KNOW BarxParx is more than capable of all of this, as Stephy and her staff are absolute pros in every way, they truly know breed temperaments and are clearly dog lovers all around! Plus, BarxParx also takes care of the 2-leggeds... there's dog-friendly Happy Hours and events all the time-- for BOTH you and your 4-legged. We took our boy Yogy for boarding over the holiday. He was not able to stay 24 hrs because he was just too stressed but this was not due to Barx Parx. They reached out to me within a couple of hrs after drop off and explained what was happening. They were willing to still work w/him and keep him overnight but I chose to have my sister pick him up instead. They were really caring and their number one priority was Yogy's well being. The fact that I can watch him through the cameras is a huge plus but I wouldn't have known how bad his stress level was if it wasn't for the team's attentiveness. I really appreciate the team for attempting to work with my baby. I would 100% recommend Barx Parx! read more

We took our mini English bulldog here and had an amazing time! Everyone here gave my dog all the loving that she craves. So much petting and love! She was always really excited to come here to see everyone... pulling on the lease all the way to the front door. I think I might have enjoyed this place more than my dog did because there are so many cute dogs to play with here. Two of my favourites were Chloe the Frenchie and Homer the pug. I was in the area and decided to stop by and check out the facility and ask questions about puppy training as this is the first time I've ever been to this business. Let me tell you that my experience versus what I was expecting was very disappointing. I walked in and was greeted by nice young lady that was selling treats at the entrance. I went to the counter and got in line and was never acknowledged with a greeting or a simple "I will be right with you". One of the staff members (Eliza) Was there and didn't even acknowledge me the whole time me and my daughters were standing there for five minutes after which I decided to leave. Thank you Barx Parx for taking such good care of our Jimmy! We have boarded him twice now, once for 2 nights last month and then most recently for 5 nights. He has come back to us safe and sound each time! I was anxious dog mom as we have boarded him at a different luxe pet hotel before and he got colitis from that stay due to his stress. I watched him on camera so many times while we were gone and so happy to find him at times being loved on or even being carried by staff. I also appreciate the daily pictures that was sent. There is also a "report card" that you get at the end of stay. I also appreciate how easy it is to text in case of any questions. They do turn the lights off at night so you can't see your pet on the camera at night- I guess for me, it probably was not a bad thing or I would've watched stayed up and watched Jimmy all night. I love Barx Park. We initially connected with Barx Park back in 2018 for our Pup Duggee (Mini Poodle). We initially utilized them for socialization and were just impressed that they would require behavior assessments, vaccinations, and at that time would require the owner inside the dog park. We honestly loved the whole set up. After the Covid Shutdown, my husband and I began working from home and our Pup really goes everywhere with us so we made the decision to take a step back for no other reason than that. Lily our Australian Shephard/Golden Mix pup took Puppy Level 1 training with Stephy, a 6 week foundational course that allowed us to train our very active, very distractable dog. Classes are about an hour long each week with another classmate and works on using positive reinforcement to learn commands like sit, stay, and "leave it." Stephy also gave us great advice on socializing our dog as well as potty training (Lily hadn't been fully potty trained when she first started the course.) She is very knowledgeable and readily available if you have any questions outside of class. Lily would come home with weekly "homework " that would help us practice and expand on the class material throughout the week. So, I did a lot of research to find a good groomer for my new puppy, Teddy...I finally chose Barx Parx. I was anxious on the day of Teddys appt, he needed a summer haircut..,the 1st person to greet us was Jan, she was so nice & helpful. She had us meet with the groomer to discuss the style/cut I wanted for Teddy. She also does this so Teddy can get comfortable with the groomer...Teddys groomer was new to Barx Parx, her name is Ray. And, she did an amazing job on Teddys, I was so happy to see him looking so so cute when he was done. And, he was...he is so happy e with his new haircut. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer of Barx Parx and, of the girl who groomed him, Ray. I would recommend this place to all of my friends...this establishment and the staff are great.
