I had the weirdest interaction with the sales associates. While I was shopping around, I noticed all the employees standing near the cash register and ignoring all the customers. Are they getting paid to gossip? Lol Even when I asked for assistance, the girl helping me had 0 social skills and was extremely awkward. She also gave me the most bare minimum help and was completely half-assed at answering my questions. As an Avid yelp user but an extremely rare reviewer...With much gratitude to the wonderful Talia. I approached her in dire need of assistance with finding something to wear last minute, for my high school reunion. My car was in the shop and I was burdened with midterms...That was my only open window to find something suitable for the occasion prior to catching my flight. I thought it would be short of a miracle but turns out Talia was the miracle herself. I'll spare you the details as it was a long shopping experience but with that said, she went well beyond her job description and I am forever grateful. My reunion was a blast and that was in part because of the prestige customer service provided. She is nothing short of a Senior Style Advisor. I love coming here because 90% of the time it's great customer service. I just came to spoil myself for my birthday and to get a few dresses. Ava, the associate who helped me, was helpful and even gave me a 10% discount for a damaged dress that I tried on. While she was checking me out, another girl at the desk was helping her, but she just had the worst attitude. Very off-putting and wanted to get me out of the store as quick as possible. After putting the reciept in the bag she said "you can leave now, have a good day" which was contradicting like 'thank you?' I don't know what her problem was but I know poor Ava had to search for a replacement for the defective dress and unfortunately didn't (no worries though) but maybe I took up too much time at the desk? I don't know, but I did apologize for making her run around. The other girl might've been having a bad day but come on... I've had some of the worst experiences at Aritzia and I want something done about it. First off, the employees are extremely rude. The past couple of times i've gone, I have asked for items they said they did not have in store, but I found them around the store myself. When I point this out to the employees they are not only disrespectful but extremely obnoxious and rude. During today's experience at Aritzia, I had seen the Denley skirt online and saw what a great deal it was for $34.99! I had gone into the store to ask if they had it and they of course told me they had none left, but as I kept browsing I saw about 10 of them on the rack and they were not even hidden! Aritzia employees need to learn how to be kind, respectful, courteous to their customers, and know where the hell items are in the shop! This is ridiculous as this has happened multiple times and i've now completely given up on shopping there at this point. After I brought up the skirt to the employees, they were rude (not a surprise at all) and told me it was the same price ($90) and it was made from a "different material." After I brought this up I checked the website online again and they had changed it! It now said it was $90 again on the website. The tag on the skirt said it was the Denley skirt and looked EXACTLY like the same material as the photo online, because I needed this skirt I bought it anyways, but this is definitely my last purchase from Aritzia. Horrible customer service what is it with these employees?... I had bought a sweater dress over the holidays and saw it had a snag in it. Mind I payed a lot of money for the dress. Due to the store being closed I could not return my item within 10 days. So I called and asked if I could come in and return it and they told me to come in and it shouldn't be a problem. I got to the store and right away this girl told me the sweater dress had been worn and doesn't have the tags, when in fact all original tags were attached and the sweater had not been worn. Now I have an unworn snagged sweater dress that I wasted $300 dollars on. Definitely going out of my way to make sure this never happens to anyone else. read more

I needed to exchange a top that I was gifted to a bigger size that they didn't have. So I was going to exchange it for another item and pay the difference. The item had two tags on it but no gift receipt. They would not do the exchange because purchaser did not give her personal information. Do not buy gifts for others at this location their return and exchange policy is ridiculous. This is my fourth time shopping at this location and I have never had good customer service. THE worst customer service. From ALL the employees!!! I don't write reviews unless a place deserves it for either being amazing or HORRIBLE. I'm sure the one star let's you know which of the two this place is. I came one day after the beach so I didn't look too great, and because of my appearance all the workers treated me like shit. I know they were judging me because ALL the employees would stare at me until I looked at them. I've visited the store other times after that to give them more chances, but they never fail to give me a shitty experience. ALWAYS terrible customer service. None of the workers are nice and they all have bad attitudes. They will literally not help you or talk to you at ALL unless it's to take items you're holding to the fitting room - which I just learned is because the associates earn commission. If I didn't love the clothes so much I would honestly stop shopping here. I WISH corporate or a manger would see all these reviews about the HORRIBLE workers/customer seevice, but even if someone did I doubt anything would be done because even the managers have shitty attitudes. read more

I have never been so disappointed with shopping in my life!!! I buy a lot and fell in love with this store a few months ago after having great customer service with Kelli in the new location in San Diego. After shopping here a few months I bought lots of items online and to my surprise sale items are final sale without any returns allowed. You would think they would post this on their sale site or AT least on the receipt!!!! But no the only place to find this information is at the very bottom where you can click a link that says 'policy' and then in that second webpage will it then say in small print that returns are not accepted on sale items. So what is the point of online shopping? I guess don't do it because for most of us these days with busy lives we shop online and then return in store or online. This company has the most old-school policies I have ever seen. So when I first ran into the problem of returning sale items I had gone into the San Diego location where Felicia the store manager made it clear that policy states no returns saying it is even against policy to do a return for credit (which I really didn't want anyway). I was so frustrated and asked for a one-time exception showing her that nothing on my receipt showed the items bought were final sale. She offered no help in any way and walked off. Her coworker on the other-hand came up and said it was no problem to do a return for credit which made me even more frustrated. This basically showed the store manager, Felecia (Fifi) lied saying that it was against policy showing she did not want to help me because she didn't like me. Talk about horrible customer service in a hospitality retail environment. I left the store and came home. That evening I received a suit from Aritzia that I had already tried on and loved in-store, but needed different sizing. To my dismay upon opening the package the pants check color did not match the blazer check color. So I looked back on receipts and online and realized everything about the blazer I wanted and the blazer I got were identical online (brand, style, name of style, color name, price). I mean everything!!! Even in the photos online they looked the same!!! The only difference was the style number by 1 digit which I of course as a consumer (not an associate) I did not look at. So when I called to see about returning the one I got and exchanging it for the one I needed to match the pants they said they could return the old one but would not honor the sale price (which had passed) for the other one. I explained the situation, but Alaya was not understanding and said it was against policy. I asked Alaya to speak to the manager, but she insisted the manager, Maria would just say the same thing and made it pretty clear I would be wasting everyone's time. I still wanted to speak with her nonetheless so I asked again after we put the return together. Of course when I asked again, Alaya said Maria had just stepped into a meeting and wouldn't be able to talk, but then once again assured me the outcome would remain the same. I have never felt so belittled by anyone especially a company supposedly devoted to customer service! I would hate for anyone hate to be treated the way Felicia and Alaya have treated me or to go through the frustration of buying item incorrect and just wanting the right one. Aritzia personnel obviously do not care about their customers AT ALL!!! As someone that worked in retail for over 10 years I would genuinely reconsider your staff priorities, how you treat customers, and your honesty about final sale items and return policy. I want to start of by saying that I never write a review unless it's an amazing experience or a really shitty one. Shopping at this store was unfortunately one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had shopping. Ive worked at Nordstrom's which is also commission based and never in my life have I experienced such pushy sales reps. The women that work here NEED to take a class on customer service. They are unbearably snooty, rude, and pushy. At one point there were 3 women behind the register barking at me to purchase all three things in front of me even though I wasn't in love with all of them. I ended up purchasing all three because I felt so uncomfortable, left, and then turned around and walked right back in to return them... Of course the staff made a comment about this but I politely asked not to be bothered about it. The woman with the accent wouldn't let it go and almost shaming me into returning the items I didn't want. I just went back tonight to pick up an online order and it was a very similar experience. New favorite shop! Aritzia is a huge store with lots of affordable, good quality clothes. They have everything from basics to work wear to cocktail dresses! I can see it being a one-stop shop for me. I just got the cutest floral dress to wear to a wedding this weekend. Love the styles here and the customer service is awesome, especially Maddie. read more

I've been dying for an Aritzia to open up in Los Angeles so I'm ecstatic it's finally here. Christine was super helpful and not in an overbearing way. Just the right amount of attentive considering not everyone is dying for someone to accompany them every step of the way. I understand there are no mirrors in the individual dressing rooms, mainly because it allows the associates to interact more with the customers, but it's incredibly annoying to be forced to share mirrors with other customers and not everyone wants to showcase a poor fit in front of other people. It's inconsiderate of the customers right to a little privacy and can turn people off. read more

Let me start by saying this review is based solely on customer service and not the clothes or products of the store. I was doing Christmas shopping with my mom and entered the store with several Nordstrom bags. The front door alarm sounded, which is always an awkward experience but has happened to all of us. I looked in my bag and found a sensor on one of the shirts from Nordstrom. When I looked up, a store employee was right in front of me practically insisting that I give her my bags while I shop, "as a convenience". Needless to say, many other customers were in the store with more bags than me and she was not offering this "convenience" to them. I was quick to realize what she was implying...so I kindly responded with "sorry, there was a sensor left on my shirt from another store...". She tried to back track and got tongue tied. I was offended and embarrassed by the whole interaction and took my business elsewhere. I guess the message they are trying to send is that they think everyone is shop lifting? Very classy Aritzia...I hope this review will help you learn an important lesson in customer service- I won't be returning. read more

The ladies at this store are so pushy. Had the shittiest experience ever and I love this brand. When I was walking around with my things, the lady kept insisting on taking my things when I clearly told her I didn't want her to. When I initially refused she gave me the side eye and laughed a little - what was that? Then when I was about to go pay she showed up again and kept insisting to take my stuff to the register even though I was still debating over things. Finally I wanted to return something but she said I had to create a profile to do so. I had my receipt and didn't want to get their promotional info and give them my email or phone number but she flat out refused to return my things in that case. Finally I came back since I really wanted to return my item and this time another lady helped me and told me the item was final sale (which is fine) but the first cashier didn't even tell me that I would have made a profile for no reason. Never have I ever experienced customer service THIS bad. I wanted a sweater in a size they didn't have in store, so I ordered it through their store to have it delivered to them so I would be able to pick it up when it arrived. This was supposed to take 5-7 business days.. and it took over a month. First of all, you don't get any email confirmation of when it has been shipped or any sort of tracking. They only said that they would send an email once the item arrived, not to mention the person who took my email wrote the wrong one and it didn't get fixed until the third time around of me asking. After going through like 5-8 different associates telling me that the sweater would come in a few days (throughout the month), FINALLY one told me that it was in fact not going to come and it had been lost. (Which isn't there fault but it should've been recognized sooner) This was the only kind associate, and she offered to order me a new one that came as it was supposed to. Another thing I wanted to touch on, the sweater i bought had gone on sale about 2 days after I ordered it, and I spoke to one of the managers about a price adjustment and she gave me the rudest look and attitude saying that "$14 really isn't that big of a deal.." but maybe not to her, but money is money. On top of it when I finally received the sweater and asked for the price adjustment, the associate said she would do it and send ma an email receipt and of course I did not get anything. Overall i am so unpleased with the customer service.. so so SO rude. read more
