I love the new location of the Saks Fifth Avenue here on Wilshire in Beverly Hills. I came to purchase a gift for my mom with my sisters and had a great experience. The store is so beautiful and grand. It's very enjoyable to walk through the floors and isles. Everything is organized and well stocked. Designer clothes and products at its best. You can find all major names here under one roof. Customer service was friendly and helpful. We did get lucky and find a purse for my mom that she loved. There is a cafe on the fifth floor that we didn't get to try cause it's closed on Sundays. At least that's what we were told. I'll have to look into that. Best shoe floor ever!! It's seriously an entire giant floor filled with all the different designer brands. Truly is shoe heaven for shoe lovers! There were a tonnnn of sales associates ready and eager to help shoppers. I wish they would spread out more so it doesn't feel like your surrounded by sales associates at every angle while you're browsing lol. They moved from the old location to the old Barney's New York store. They have a lot of good designer shoes, and clothing, but it's just adequate good items but sometimes a hit and miss. I like Saks though, but I did prefer the old location. I have a very good sales rep here so that makes it good. Or otherwise I will shop online when needed. The old Saks for women at 9600 Wilshire is closed - the new, at 9570, occupies the old Barney's of New York location. It is interesting going in there and up the wide stairs to experience Saks versus Barney's, but over all, this is a much better location. The old building was dated and had narrower and smaller levels as you went higher up. The new building provides the bright new Barney's look, to the old Saks. Purchased an item online 1 day & went to pick it up the next day. The rep at the pickup booth said my item wasn't ready for pickup. Couldn't understand how since it was in stock at the store. I needed the item before Christmas. The rep didn't make any effort to accommodate me or even ask what the item was. The rep next to her said that if the item was ordered the day before then it should be ready but she ignored her. I just asked another floor rep for the item and was able to purchase it. My experience at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills was great until this past October when they refused to exchange or refund a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses they sold me that were not the correct pair. The Louis Vuitton part of the store is the absolute worst, frankly I will never shop here again. Backstory, we had a newborn and I bought various things from Saks including a Chanel Handbag for my wife (push present!) and a gucci handbag for my wife. I also purchased an LV belt for my brother in law and asked the rep if the glasses my wife was wearing in a photo (the glasses were stolen out of her car) were the ones at the store. He said "absolutely, those are definitely the ones." When I asked if he was sure, he said he was positive. My wife opened the sunglasses said it was not the ones. So, given newborn and work I didn't have a chance to return until 40 days later. And when I tried the people there didn't even look at the receipt or want to hear me out they just refused to exchange or return. When I talked to the manager and tried to politely explain the situation she had a smug look, didn't even want to talk to me and said no. They also said they can't do it because of corporate (which is not true.) We have since contacted client services for LV and Corporate and they said they 30 day policy is at the discretion of the store and they usually make exceptions. I get that there are policies but when someone shows you they have a 2 month old and the commute is 45-60 minutes to get there. maybe have some courtesy to do the right thing. read more

My experience at this location was mixed. I had bought some shoes online. I forgot how European shoes run small. So I called the customer service number and they were great. They had told me to go to my nearest store and even exchange would be given. I called the actual store, and they had told me that they couldn't do it. I would have to do a return, then buy the item and submit a price adjustment. And they wouldn't even check to ensure the item was in stock. When I asked, the gentlemen on the phone had really said " I have to hang up on you to go to check." Soo, I decided to give myself a day and hope I get someone new. The following day, decided to call the customer service number again. Again, they were great. They said that they can do an even exchange and that the item was in stock. I didn't waste my time calling the store again. I drove 30 miles to this location. I went to the online exchange downstairs. The lady was a bit nicer but she had mentioned that they couldn't do an even exchange! I had to do a return and then a price adjustment. When I mentioned that corporate customer service had told me otherwise she had said" well you can try, but I wouldn't want you to have to go upstairs for nothing." I told her I would take the chance. So I did. Once I got upstairs, I got a warm embrace by Carolee Fisher!! She was super nice! She ensured that I got the right shoe, and that they fit perfect. When I asked her if I can do an even exchange, she confirmed it!!! So she deserves the best!! I was skeptical of coming to this location, because the reviews went great. When I looked at jewelry she also brought out more that was not on display. It's a small store but there's a wide enough selection. If not, what you want can be ordered. I purchased a $410 perfume online. I received the perfume with the plastic put together with scotch tape, a dirty box, and when I opened the box, the perfume was used as they had taken some of the perfume from the bottle. I called customer service for an exchange in the store because this is for a meaningful gift. I was told that I need to return the perfume to the online store because the store has another return policy and they won't exchange the perfume, and they will refund the money over $410 once they determine the case is eligible for return. I provided pictures, and a high-end store should provide the fastest and best resolution. This is the second time it has happened to me buying perfume only through this store. The first time was with a $500 cologne, and it took almost a month to get a refund, and I had to call so many times that it was a nightmare. They should fire the employee who sent the perfume under these conditions because it reflects poorly on the store. Now I have this perfume that is not good for a gift, and I have to pay out of my pocket again for another gift. read more

They hire OnTrac Delivery (a cut rate company who gets a 1-Star rating from Yelp) to deliver their merchandise who isn't smart enough to put delivered package out of view from street even though there is a logical/obvious place to put it. An hour later it was stolen from my porch. UPS and FedEx are always smart enough to put packages out of view. I bought a pair of Chanel loafers from her and found her to be incredibly helpful and kind. She's now at Saks in BH, and while I have never had the privilege of shopping this location in person, I've had the privilege of working Nora via DM and text messages. I have a large foot and my size shoes are generally sold out. Over the past week, Nora has helped me secure three pairs of boots and a pair of espadrilles I'd been wanting. One pair had to be sourced from out of state. What I live about Nora is her follow through and communication. I believe this is one of the largest (if not The Largest) locations for Saks Fifth Avenue. They have multiple floors with accessories, shoes, jewelry, and clothing by a variety of designers. The shoe department alone is massive and takes up almost an entire room on the ground/second floor. There are small boutiques for Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, and other designers. In addition to the premium labels, you can find a mix of mid-priced brands and items under one roof. When I went recently, the store was having a big sale and there were racks of clothing marked down on multiple floors. Staff were pretty friendly when I visited. The girl in Chanel was very welcoming and tried to help me look up a top I was hunting for. She couldn't find anything and offered to take my contact information in case she came across something. Parking options include street parking and public lots. I like to park in the lot by Crate and Barrel because it's underground and I like being able to walk around the area to get to the shops. read more

I have been a Saks customer for over 20 yrs. I've spent thousands at Saks. Sadly, since it was taken over by Capitol One it has gone downhill. My daughter was in the Beverly Hills store and brought 2 dresses that were still in the boxes to try on at the store, one $1500, the other $700. First thing said to her was "why do you want to try on here? Why didn't you try on at home?" Next, she was told "the fitting rooms are on ____floor" THEY WERE NOT. She could not get ONE salesperson to help her find a gown. I will NOT be using Saks anymore. Customer service is just not available to customers. I asked her if it was ok to do the exchange in her department and she told me that they normally do that on another floor (very rudely, like how dare I not know that) but she would make an exception because I was with my 2 month old son. I told her I could go to that floor. She then told me that since I was going to repurchase, she would do it (obviously wanted to commission). I wanted to look around a little more and so after returning the skirt, I told her I wanted to look around a little more. She said "well you wanted to exchange, so just buy it now." I decided to NOT buy from them and go to Nordstrom instead. They sell the same product I was going to buy and I've never been treated like that at a store. I had a very poor experience at Saks Beverly Hills after years of shopping here. I purchased a perfume and once I opened it I realized it did not smell quite right. The scent was off like this particular bottle was defective. I purchased 2 bottles of the same scent at once, one for me and one for my mother. My mother's smelled how I'd expected the perfume to smell. Saks refused to do an even exchange of the same exact perfume citing that the wrapping was removed. Duh, how else would I know the bottle was defective without having opened it? Very poor customer service, and I am stuck with a very expensive bottle of perfume that I'll never wear. read more

This review is for the contemporary department. Although they have a great selection on floors 4 and 5, the mistakes make it difficult to return. I am continually disappointed in the service in this department. I regularly shop for myself and for my friends, and always have an issue with the ladies that work on this floor, specifically the more senior associates. I have experienced rudeness, but also more importantly big mistakes, that impact my purchases. 1. In the summertime I purchased several items, and then ended up shopping somewhere else and found other things i liked more. When I came back to return I was treated so poorly, and felt so uncomfortable. Then, I realized that they made a mistake with my transaction. I was charged for a pair of shorts, but they were not included in my bag. I was treated like a thief, instead of a customer, as if I stole them and came back to get a second pair. Then they finally gave them to me, and they didn't end up working, and because they didn't work, returning them was a disaster- took over half an hour. The woman decided it was best to return the shorts I never had, to only get a gift card return, and it took management half an hour to figure out how to return these back to my credit card. 2. I just purchased several items yesterday, and two things have sensors on them. I needed them at 10:30 this morning, and could not get to a store to get these sensors off. It completely ruined my morning, and the sales associate assured me that all the sensors were off. They were not. It's really unfortunate that these mistakes continue to happen. Additionally, the stare down I get from these associates when I come back to shop makes me so uncomfortable. I shop all over town, and I love going to stores like Bloomingdales where I receive great service, or boutiques. I understand mistakes happen, but this has been one time too many. I suggest that management retrains these women, or hires more staff to help with transactions, packaging clothing, checking item counts and removing tags . read more
