Gus is a cool dude, treats you respectfully and truly values customer experience. He's is transparent and gives you more for your gold than any other shop in the valley, at least from my experience. Other shops come with a lot of the bs talk as they lowball you but not here, Gus is fair. There's a reason I've come back multiple times and will continue to do so. Richard is also a pretty cool guy and is a honest salesman. Whenever I'm looking I stop by them because you're likely to find something cool and different, as well as the traditional types of stuff you'd find in other stores. I highly recommend. I bought a rope chain and a figaro chain a couple months ago and I just came back again to get another rope chain. I will continue to come here because of the great selection, great prices, and GREAT customer service (which I CANNOT stress enough). Crooked business if you cancel layaway. Due to unexpected financial hardship and a change in my family situation I am unable to continue to pay for layaway on jewlery and I called to discuss my situation. I was told I can only get the money I have spent so far as store credit and I cannot have my money returned to me. No where was this displayed on any paperwork I have or signed nor was it told to me when signing up for the layaway. So now I am stuck with store credit and forced to used it at an establishment I no longer want to do business with. I don't want more jewlery or any of the other junk they sell in their store. I want my hard earned money back to survive on. Crooks. I do not recommend this place at all, very shady. They also gave me a terrible deal on very nice jewlery I went to sell to them. I appreciated his honestly on what was worth selling now, as to get a better return on my investment. I also learned to hold out on selling other fine pieces of jewelry when the price of a particular precious metal would possibly be worth more at another time. I hardly ever take the time to write a review about a business but I felt the need to do so for others who may be in the position that I was in: simply looking for an honest business to give me a fair price on what I had that actually qualified as real gold, silver and diamonds. (I had some things that weren't real so I couldn't be mad since there was obviously a level of cheapness at the time of purchase, but I digress.) I had gone to other places before that made me leave feeling gypped at a time of desperation and I really wasn't in the mood for that this time. I wanted to have a legit, no-nonsense, quick experience and so I went online to read reviews. I read some old ones about this place that were good and so I drove over 30 minutes to get there (and for me that's a distance.) He was friendly, open to explaining why items were and were not acceptable, and gave me what I felt was a very reasonable price for what was sold. I can't stress in no uncertain terms how there is no need to bother going elsewhere to sell. If you need to drive, do it because you will be wasting time and gas stopping at other places to get offers that will leave you feeling insulted and then you'll kick yourself for not listening to this recommendation. Believe me when I say that I will be driving back here again should I choose to sell in the future because my time is money and coming here is definitely worth the money! read more
