We had a great time on our guided UTV tour this past Labor Day weekend. There are several different guides; ours was Sam. The tour itself was on very rough and bumpy terrain. The UTVs seem way safer than ATVs, so i felt mostly safe. The route is awesome with plenty of opportunities to take pictures and record your experience. It is AWFULLY hot in AZ so if you cannot stand prolonged exposure to extreme heat, then I would reconsider and book this tour in the fall/winter. PRO TIP: BRING A TOWEL TO SIT ON. THE UTV seat was VERY hot and challenging to sit on with no barrier. They do offer free water battles throughout the course which is nice. read more

We went to Arizona Outdoor Fun in Scottsdale and had a great time. We booked early to beat the heat, which I highly recommend!!! I ended up riding in a UTV with one of the tour guides - Matt - instead of an ATV and he was fantastic. He was fun, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience awesome! He took us along different paths, shared fun facts about the area, he was engaging, and just had a great way of making everyone feel at ease. These ATVs and UTVs are no joke, so listen to the guides. Don't forget to tip the guides. They are out in the heat working hard to make sure everyone is safe and enjoying themselves, and they deserve it. I would absolutely go again, and highly recommend anyone looking for a great time! ps This isn't a spa day, you're going to get dusty, dirty, and maybe a little unrecognizable by the end. Had a 10/10 experience with our guy, Austin! Customer service was amazing from beginning to end - we were well taken care of. Check in process was seamless as we ordered, paid and signed a waiver ahead of time. My party of 6 went on a guided UTV tour and we booked two UTV's for it. Total was about $130 each. Our stay there took around 3 hours, so make sure to plan accordingly. Austin lead us through the beautiful desert of AZ. We passed a river, saw some wild cows and rode through a beaaaautiful canyon. Took 3 pit stops to take some pics, switch drivers and Austin offered us water. The ride IS BUMPY as you can imagine, but well worth it. OUTSTANDING morning adventure with ARIZONA OUTDOOR FUN ADVENTURES! We had an amazing start with clear instructions. We initially thought we would ride ATVs (single rider) but then changed our mind to a UTV (up to 4 riders together). What's not to love! Outdoor adventure, daring, dust, beautiful scenery, and FUN! Our guides, Chris and Devin, were excellent as they got everyone excited and kept us charged throughout the 2 hours. They were more than willing to help us capture once-in-a-lifetime photos when we stopped for water/breaks at scenic locations. Make sure you do this adventure! Do not pass this up. What a great time! We originally signed up for the ATV centipede tour not realizing that it wasn't exactly beginner friendly. For no extra charge, we were offered to join the UTV guided tour, instead, as first timers. We live in the area and figured we could come back and try the ATVs once we saw the difficulty of the trails. Holland was an impeccable tour guide!! As a first time experience we chose the UTV guided tour. I highly recommend this option. We had no idea of the terrain or trails available. The terrain is well worn, yet rugged. There are rocky and sandy areas. Being in the UTV gave us confidence in navigating the uneven areas. The guided tour allowed us to explore areas not available in the self-guided option. We also knew we would make it back in time without getting lost. There are no maps or markers guiding you. However, if you do get in a bind they give you a bracelet with their phone number for assistance. For wildlife, we see a jackrabbit, hawk, and cattle. Even though I booked, paid, and completed all forms online, they offered excellent customer service. We were welcomed by Brian and guided by Caden. Both were professional and courteous. They offered an amazing experience and provided everything needed for a safe and fun adventure! read more

It's not a good safety policy to charge customers for choosing safety. I did not feel safe on the course as it was much more challenging than I anticipated. I asked if I could stop towards the beginning of the course. They charged me a $75 fee to recover the ATV off the course. Other riders behind me told me that they thought I was going to tip over several times. I was at the top of the weight limit for the smaller ATV and in retrospect I think I should have had a larger ATV to help lower my center of gravity. I did nothing reckless or wrong and had the best intentions. To be charged for choosing safety is an unacceptable policy. It's unfortunate to have had this experience as we had a lot of fun otherwise. read more

For some reason, we were the only group in our session, so essentially got a private tour. Our guide, Sami was excellent. She spotted several sets of burros a pack of javelinas. She took us to the Agra Fria river bottom. Showed us some ancient ruins. Pointed out the variety of cactus and plant life in the desert as well as a history of the region. Lots of cool trails. Easily 5 stars for Rich--and if I could give more, I would! We had the absolute privilege of doing a private sunrise tour with Rich, and it was hands-down one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Despite a light rain (which honestly made the whole experience better--no dust, no blazing sun), Rich brought the energy and knowledge like it was a blue-sky day. From the start, he went above and beyond--taking us to bonus off-the-map locations, pointing out wildlife like jackrabbits and cattle, and teaching us all about the native desert plants. But this wasn't just textbook info--Rich gave us live demonstrations, showing which plants are toxic, which are medicinal, and how locals have used them for generations. It was like a science, history, and survival class all in one. What made it even more meaningful? Rich is military, and we're deeply grateful for his service. We had a great UTV tour with Erik! We did the 6am, which was perfect because it wasn't hot and we got to see the sun coming up. The trail had lots of twists, turns, and bumps, which of course added to the fun! We made a couple stops and Erik told us some cool facts about cacti and the history of the trails and mountain area. It's super dusty out there so definitely wear clothes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty. There is a water station after where you can wash off, as well as portable toilets. The staff was wonderful!! Overall impressed! I have done ATV's before but this terrain and scenery is completing different. Unfortunately, i wasn't confident enough after the practice course and was allowed to switch to the UTV with my friend. It's a very bumpy and rocky terrain but what scared me more was the inclines and mountain tops. I kept feeling like I couldn't keep my body on the atv and that's a scary thought at the edge of a mountain lol. Regardless my session had no other bookings so It became a private tour and the UTV was great. Hunter was my guide and he was so sweet, understanding and Informative! Every worker i spoke with was great. Even the one who acknowledged that I punked out with the ATVs lol; although he understood. Overall the views were amazing we got an opportunity halfway through to take pictures. We enjoyed everything from start to finish. We did ride and shoot tour. The shooting instructor was excellent, took his time to explain all the details of the weapons and how to use them. He also ensured all safety precautions were taken. I wish I could remember his name, we shoot on Nov 25 at 0930. Then we went riding through the desert with Jesse and had a great time. 15 of us did the Centipede Trail tour for a Bachelorette Party this past weekend. From the booking process through the entire experience, this was affordable, easy to coordinate for our large group, and so so SO much fun. We got 5 3-person UTV's and could not have had a better tour guide in Joe (we're not saying he's Theo Vaughn, but we are saying we've never seen them both in the same room! Doppleganger for sure!). He made sure we were safe and having fun and also provided great insights about the desert and geography of the area. Most fun experience and worth every dollar! I saw some good reviews and decided to take a chance and I can confirm the positive reviews are accurate! We picked the 3-Hour UTV and Shooting Combo. As out of towners we didn't account for the traffic and were about 15 minutes late. They were so accommodating! We were thankful! On arrival we checked in and they provided the gear we needed. We shot first. The knowledge and safety meeting ahead of time was interesting with our guide Mayton (his last name) that he goes by. He kept humor in it so we didn't get bored. Loved shooting and felt safe the whole time. When we left for the trails Mayton made sure everyone was safe and took us through the trails to the top of a hill at the half way where he put on an excellent presentation with some demonstration about plants and sharing his knowledge of the area. He spoke about 10 minutes or so and again had humor and kept it interesting. It was great to get out and stretch our legs and get a drink. The views are amazing! Donkeys (wild) walking around were a bonus. If you go I hope you get Mayton! (When we turned our gear in we asked about getting something to eat and he told us about Scorpion Bay Grill --which wasn't even on our route but we are so thankful he did because it was awesome!) read more

I wanted to do ATVs for my birthday (February) and I'm SO glad we did! Our guides Dylan and Hernan were awesome, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We weren't expecting to be so high up on the mountain but even as terrified as we were at times, we still had a blast! I will say that there's an extremely good reason (aside from general safety) as to why they don't allow any type of stunts while you're out riding. I tipped over attempting to pass somebody in the group (low speed) and forgot to counter my weight. My foot got caught as I was going down but luckily I wasn't hurt. If I had been by a cliff (and there's quite a few), it wouldn't have been a good outcome. Hernan rushed over as soon as he saw me and asked if I was okay. They provide you with everything you need including cold water. You stop quite a few times along the way which can give you time to rest or take pictures. The experience was WELL WORTH the money we paid for and I would gladly recommend this place to anybody visiting AZ! read more

We did an unguided tour, but all the folks that work there were super helpful in getting us ready for our ride. We even had two of us that thought we could do the atvs but ended up switching to a utv last minute. They didn't seem annoyed or frustrated with us just validated our decision to be safe and feel confident. When you're out on the trails they check in when they pass you. They also called pretty quick after we left to let us know we left a jacket in the utv. We would absolutely recommend them! They all seem to really enjoy their work and have good energy. The sniper activity involves a beautiful ride through the desert and then a cool opportunity to shoot and hit targets 500 yards away with a .308 as a 50 cal rifle. Great fun. The ride on the side by side was very slow and safe, not terribly exciting, but beautiful and fun. Our guide, Hunter, was a great guide very helpful as we all hit at 500 yds. read more
