Go where the love is. I took Scotty to PetSmart this morning and the same groomer that saw him last time saw him was there. She told me I'm gonna have to cancel your appointment his ears and too bushy and he needs to go to a veterinarian. I left so upset and stressed out. He need a haircut bad. I texted my friend Shane and told him what happened. He sent me pet groomers in my area. There was one that opened at 8 am. I decided to go in person. As soon as I went in they welcome us with a friendly greeting. The owner said hi and started to play with Scotty. They said they had an opening this morning and they took him with open arms. I can't believe the bs that the previous groomer said. The new groomer said it wasn't a problem at all. So yeah, go where the love is. Took my 12 year-old Bearded Collie for her belly, butt & feet trimmed, shampooed & nails to be clipped. After waiting for 3 1/2 hours for them to call, I went to find that my dog has a wound under her eye. The groomer said she had gunk by the tear duct and she used a flea comb and then shaved it! In more than 3 hours you did not have time to soak it to release it more gently without causing it to bleed???! I was and am beyond angry that they hurt my dog. RULE #1- DO NO HARM! RULE #2- CALL THE OWNER GET APPROVAL TO BE TOO AGRESSIVE AND HURT THEIR DOG! Apologizing after I pointed out my concern does not fix the pain and trauma you have put my dog through. I took my Cairn Terriers in to be groomed on May 23rd. When I picked them up they looked great but I noticed a clump on the side of my male. I didn't think much about it until I tried to comb out the clump of hair. I then noticed that there were three scrapes where the razor gouged the skin over his ribs. The scrapes had scabbed over and had been bleeding. I called to find out what had happened and how to avoid having this happen in the future. After several calls when no one answered, I left a message and asked that one of the owners contact me at their convenience. It has been two weeks I have received no call back. We are new in town with a very frail elderly poodle who is deaf and blind and nips out of fear since he can't see or hear any more. And he has an immense coat that takes a really gifted groomer. But honestly at his age and health I was just hoping for someone who could get him clean and comfortable without upsetting him or getting bitten. Our vet recommended Arizona Pet Grooming, and I am so glad she did. Our woolly elderly challenging poodle came home happy, no one got bitten, and he looks more wonderful than he has in years. I will never take my dogs to this groomer again. I took them 3 weeks ago and it cost me $45. Per dog plus tips. After getting them home I noticed they looked identical to when I brought them in. Today I had to take them to get groomed all over again at additional expense. Today's groomer told me they had not been groomed just three weeks earlier cause their nails were so long they were digging into pads, ears were very hairy and matted & dirty, anal glands were very full, and their hair was much longer than could have grown out from a number 7 in 3 short weeks. I didn't think at the time it looked like they did anything to them, and after grooming that has been confirmed. This place is a rip off! Go elsewhere! read more

I have been in Tucson since 2009. I hooked up with Amber when she worked at Petco on Broadway. I have used her ever since. I moved with her when she went independent. I have 3 Labs, 2 1-yr olds and 1 5-yr old now and my guys just love her. I have recommended Amber to many of my friends and have used her with DLRR rescue dogs as well. I will not go anywhere else.
