A hidden gem for sure. I always forget this place exists because it's tucked away inside a strip mall in the middle of Vail. I was pleasantly surprised that they're just as good as I remember from 10+ years ago. The cheese is flavorful and has a great stretch, and the crust is just so crispy and thin! Really delicious. The lunch special is very good, too. $8 for a massive cheese slice and a drink is a deal hard to come by in this economy, and it can easily feed 2 people. I opted to add pepperoni for an extra $1.50. Still a good deal. I also would not skip on the ranch if you're a fan of the good homemade kind. I can tell it is made in-house and it's so creamy and garlicky. Service was quick and polite. I also notice that they always offer fresh brewed ice tea and some kind of specialty water - this time they had a watermelon infused water that was great. I love when I'm offered fresh-made drink options besides your usual fountain drinks. I've often seen discourse about where the best pizza in Tucson is online, and I rarely see AZ Pizza Company mentioned. I personally think they're very high on the list and deserve more recognition. This small, local pizzeria has friendly staff and a hometown feel. We tried the pepperoni pizza and they do not skimp on the toppings. There was a plethora of pepperoni. Pizza was good! We also ordered the garlic knots, which were great for their price. It was a little awkward ordering over the phone for pick up because they said it would take "at least 45 minutes" but if we could give them "a little more time that would be great". We weren't quite sure when to pick it up so that we either wouldn't be waiting forever at the restaurant or if we showed up too late the pizza might be cold. We decided to wait an hour. Luckily it was ready by the hour mark and was hot and fresh when we got it home. It was busy when we picked it up so I can understand them not knowing exactly when it would be ready. You can add or subtract anything from the toppings or the calzones, I am not a fan of ricotta so I always ask for that to be left. This pizza place has a great location and has seating for about 8 tables. They offer delivery which is surprising and really nice to have. The pizza is good, the crust is crispy, and the flavors are usually really good! The calzone is amazing and quite large, absolutely enough to feed 4 - 5 people. That being said, FYI the Hawaiian pizza usually comes with green pepper (weird I know), and garlic on it. Thankfully, they asked if those were okay or not. I turned down the green peppers and since I like garlic I thought it'd be worth keeping on it. However, the garlic was WAY too heavy handed. Frankly, it ruined the pizza, you could barely taste anything but the garlic, and it disrupted everyone's pallets, and then gut. If you order other pizza's you may be just fine, but order your Hawaiian specifically accurate for yourself. Otherwise you may end up in the situation we did! read more

The Greek salad was fresh and good. They give paper trays to eat it with. Kinda different. The silverware they use is cheap stuff, cheaper than the cheapest dinnerware you can buy at Walmart. Oh well. The BBQ wings were OK, not bad, not great. Inside is comfortable enough with tables and chairs. There by the utensils are also pizza cutters to use. Very handy, especially as cheesy as the pizza is. They have other very interesting items and daily special items on their chalkboards throughout the restaurant. Wondering about their signage as we went after dark and all I could see is "Pizza" in red lighting. There was nothing that said "Arizona Pizza Company" that I could see. It was worth the 22 minutes to get there from my house. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. Upon walking in I was greeted by Hannah who was very friendly and sweet. She helped me decide on the perfect salad and I was very happy with the salads size and quality. Inside was clean and neat with just enough seating to have a nice meal with a couple friends. Not sure if it's every location but at this one there is no fryer so wings are not friend and that does make them a bit less crispy then some may desire but overall they weren't bad and were cooked perfectly. I would definitely come back for a nice lunch for salad! And I've had pizza from other locations and love it so I'm sure it would be great here as well. read more

We chose our own toppings and shared this biig pizza! I love how it came out on this holder with the plates below. You can taste that the ingredients are fresh & the cheese was cheesy! almost like TMNT. The crust is not thick which I am thankful for because the more dough/crust the faster I get full. The salads are a nice big portion and they have their own juices/waters they make. We tried their watermelon water and it was delicious. Unfortunately have to give this place a 1 star rating because of the lack of sanitation and quality of food. They work with their bare hands after touching everything in and around the kitchen/cash register/personal clothing, no gloves. Everyone has long hair and a long beard, no hair nets. I have been to Arizona Pizza Company now about 5 times and each time have had friendly and quick service and yummy food. We stopped in for a lunch special which is a HUGE slice of pizza with your choice of toppings and a fountain drink. This slice is so big and for the price and quality, 100% a great deal. The pizza crust is on the thinner side but is still hearty and crispy without being burnt. The sauce is great and the toppings are quality. Good reviews prompted me to try out this place. A friend of mine is very gluten-intolerant and I'm looking for places where we both can have a good lunch together. This place does have gluten-free dough that sells for the price of their 14" pizza. I ordered a 16" mushroom and onion pizza to go, but stayed there long enough to have one slice and look around this small place. They offer daily and weekly specials which are posted on the walls. The dining area is small. Three tables for six, three tables for four and one two-seater allows only seats for 32 people. When I walked in at 3pm on a Tuesday, I was the only person in the place. My pizza came out in 15 minutes. Service was friendly. Three employees were busy taking phone orders. While the dough is rather bland, I do like the red sauce. There were plenty of toppings. My two-topping 16" pizza and drink came to $18.03. You go to the counter and give your order. An employee brings you the food, but you get everything else yourself: your drink, you condiments, your utensils. And you are encouraged to place any dirty plates in the dirty dish bins. The place is clean. Even the bathroom has a changing table. Three coin-operated digital games are by the bathroom doors, hidden from view. Signs here warn parents not to leave children unattended. There are salads and pasta dishes also available at reasonable prices. There are no alcoholic drinks available. AZP offers free wifi, but when I connected, got no internet. read more

Had a pizza dinner here last night and we really liked their pepperoni pizza! The crust is both tasty and perfectly crusty/crunchy. Their slices are very large. The calzones are the size of your head!! Stuffed with everything and anything on the menu but their standard, no frills cheesy calzone is excellent, as is!
