Making our way back to the valley, but wanted to stop for a late lunch in Tucson. After searching for many different options my husband really wanted pizza, so I chose this place thanks to Yelp. There is plenty of outside patio space (dog friendly) as you walk up to enter the establishment. We decided to dine inside. Large open space with ample amount of seating, plus a nice size bar area. Our server was Alyssa who was super from start to finish. We decided on their Italian Stallion (L) and split a dinner salad. They have a dressing called a Sicilian lemon vinaigrette! Believe it's made in house (?). "Do it" and get extra to dip your crust. It's a must..Salad was crisp fresh & delicious especially with that salad dressing! The pizza was prepared & presented perfectly. It's a hand tossed wood fire pie with a generous amount of toppings. The meats, garnishes & fresh made cheese was a spectacular combination of a little heat, spice & tangy from the picked Giardiniera. The crust is thin & brushed with a roasted garlic oil that gives it a nice texture and flavor as well. A unique pizza & now added into our top 4 most memorable in AZ. The atmosphere was super chill. It was a good day and time to visit as it wasn't busy and the vibe was calm. They tend to be extremely busy when the college is in season. More so when there is a local sporting event like football, parents weekend etc.. They sometimes offer a breakfast menu (check their website or call ahead for details) during the move in dates & prior to school starting. Seems they really support the community. There are 5 locations of Trident throughout Tucson. This is the ONLY location doing more the Italian take! It's always a pleasure to boost LOCAL business and this place proved it! Love coming to Trident Pizza Pub when we come to town. The food is delicious and the vibe here is great. Definitely gives you that local spot feel, which is awesome! The pizza here is fantastic! Have tried a variety of them and they all taste so good. The BBQ Chicken pizza is a great one if you're looking for unique one. I would highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Hero. One of the best ones I've had in a long time! They have a pretty good drinks menu as well, including a solid selection of draft beers options too. Definitely a fun spot to check out! I ate dinner here yesterday as part of a party of six. I ordered a Chicken Parm Hero ($14.50) with tater tots. (Other side dishes are available for an upcharge, but the tots are included in the price.) I traded half of my sandwich for half of an Italian Grinder. Both sandwiches were very good. We went here on a whim and I am so glad we did! I ordered the cast iron pepperoni rolls and the rosemary potato pizza - both we spectacular! We went on a Friday night and I expected it to be a long wait for food, but it wasn't! Our food order came out within a great timeframe. The waitress was knowledgeable, kind and prompt. The cast iron pepperoni rolls are so unique. The rolls are cooked with pepperoni and cheese rolled into them - similar to a cinnamon roll. They come with marinara for dipping which was fabulous! The cast iron gives them a crisp bottom - these are delish! They do take some time to bake, and they alert you to this with a clock next to the item on the menu which was very helpful. I only tried a cocktail for Valentine's Day but loved this little local spot. The cocktail was a special holiday concoction. My friend knew the bartender. She was really friendly. There were other locals at the bar that my friend knew. You could tell this was a place that people loved to come and hang out. There is a brickoven to make pizzas. This location used to be one of my favorite pizzerias in Tucson. I didn't try any food but am hoping the pizza is just as good as what used to be in this spot. I tried Trident Pizza Pub for the first time yesterday with my friend who has had it before and liked it. We shared the Veggie Supreme pizza. We ordered on the phone and I realized after I called that I forgot to ask for the pizza with no olives. I called back a few minutes later and they were able to accommodate. When we walked in there were not many people in the restaurant, but there were a few outside and at the bar. The service was fast and friendly. The pizza had fresh toppings and a good taste. Though, something about the crust did remind me of a frozen pizza. That does not mean that I wouldn't eat here again though! I really am sad to have to post this 1 star review, but I hope it helps local families of Tucson. I love spending my money in the small businesses around town, and my family and I are always seeking out great new places for family dinners. Unfortunately Trident Restaurants will not be on our list. We are a family of 6, 4 of whom are my kids. We all went for pizza at Trident Pizza Pub. We had a good time and we liked it, HOWEVER Trident Pizza Pub as well as ALL TRIDENT restaurants has a policy of a FORCED 20% Tip on parties of 6 or more. This small business hates families. We had 1 check and would have ordered the exact same food had we only had 3 of our kids with us. Because of this absurd policy, we will not go back. I could understand this policy if a table has multiple checks or takes up many tables. Large parties sometimes require more work, but my family would have taken the same space as well as ordered the same food had we only had 3 kids with us instead of 4. I will not give my business to places with unfair or ridiculous random policies that discriminate against my family. Tipping has become egregious in recent years, and a guaranteed 20% tip AGAINST my family of 6 for what may or may not be sub par service is a red line. FEEDBACK for the OWNERS....what you are doing is wrong. I will make sure my friends and colleagues know your policies. I plan on posting my experience on all social media platforms. I will reevaluate my review if you rid yourself of this policy, but I won't hold my breath because we spoke to the manager and he told us he has had more than just our family give this same feedback on the tipping policies and the OWNERS DON'T CARE. read more

I love Trident and I love their Pizza! Great place to have some beer & pizza! They have outdoor seating and super duper close to the UA. Great atmosphere and awesome staff! We ordered 2 small pizzas which have 4 slices each. Perfect if you can't decide on one type of pizza or if you don't want to share with your significant other. We ordered Trident Pizza Pub for delivery yesterday evening, right before the west side of town was pummeled by a massive storm. Despite an inevitable traffic delay, the pizza was still hot and salad still cold when our order arrived. Impressive! Both were very tasty and given that we'd lost power a few times, we were grateful to have a good meal that we didn't have to try to cook (one less thing to worry about.) This location specializes in wood fired pizzas. We were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the evening. TVs were on so we could watch games. Apres option is always a plus in Tucson. Some things that made Trident's pizza joint stand out: you can split a pizza 1/2 and 1/2 even with a small pizza, perfect wood fire pizza taste, solid fresh ingredients, and great service. The best thing we tasted was the 1/2 of the pizza called A&P. This was served with prosciutto and arugula, which is typical. What was not was the fried egg and truffle oil that accompanied it. Since it was a beautiful spring day when I stopped I opted to sit on the patio with my dog. Though there isn't a great view it was very comfortable and the service was great. The menu features pizza, sandwiches, and salads. They also have a full bar. The small Pizza is a perfect size for 2 people, or 1 person if you want some leftovers. The price is reasonable though I will note that I didn't have an alcoholic beverage so I am not sure about the cocktail pricing. We went to eat at Momo's but no one was there; across the street Trident was full of people. So we decided to see what the fuss was about. This place was beginning to fill with college football fans and families on this bright Saturday! They had televisions all around the restaurant with various games on making a football fan like my husband quite happy. Upon entry the manager greeted us with a smile and welcomed u s from across the room and told us to choose to sit wherever we wanted. We then chose a table and the waitress came right over and gave us the menu and took our drink order. She then quickly came back with our drinks. We asked which flavor of wings she liked best and we took her recommendations. BOY! They did not disappoint! This food is super fresh, crisp yet still soft and easily chewed. They were brought out fast and were pretty good. We ordered a cider beer. It was good as well, tasted somewhat like redds, just a little more smooth. The pizza was great and cooked perfectly. The meats all went together very well and tasted really fresh. Was a great mixture of sauce, cheese, and meats. A few smaller cons: Friends ordered salads but didn't get them until after the salads came out, wasn't a big deal though. Our server, Emily, was very friendly & even made a couple recommendations to us after knowing it was our first time here. I hovered between 1 and 2 stars and went with two because the pizza was "ok". I have given up on the original Trident, as it has become a dive. But, I wanted to give the brand another chance and tried the Trident Pizza Pub. Mistake....big mistake. Went in and found a table with ease. The waitress approached and I asked her if there was a full bar, she said "Yes". Knowing even full bars don't have Drambuie I asked her to check. She returned and, no they do not have it. That is AOK and not an issue! So I said I will take a double Dewars White label, neat. She returned "We don't have Dewars"...mmm ok. "What whiskey's do you have?" to which she informed me they have not whiskey.......Scotch? nope.....so said I guess you don't have a full bar. I just ordered a beer but I should have left. Ordered a small pizza, some pub sliders, and a 6-piece chicken tenders. Remember that---6 piece. Slides came--not bad! Pizza came , it was good. Now here is shenanigans part 2. I was observing another table, the man in a discussion about his tenders, He had the 12 piece order and they were burnt. while observing, my waitress said she would check on my 6-piece. Waitress 1 returns the 12 piece burnt ones to the kitchen from the other table, and with in 5 seconds my waitress brings me a 12 piece order.---that was arguably burnt. Really? no proof but I am pretty sure the kitchen didn't accidently cook 12 for my order that were instantly ready when the other guys was returned. Sure they charged me for 6. Then when told my waitress that if the kitchen really just burned 2 orders of 12 (24 tenders) then the kitchen has an oil temperature problem. So the manger comped all the chicken on my order. 1. train you wait staff as to what kind of bar you have. 2. Fix your line cook issues. 3. Pizza was fine place smells great just like a woody cabin so that is a plus. Knowing I will never go back to Trident 1, except to pick up my metal mug, and now the Pizza pub is questionable, should I even bother with the one on swan? Bummer read more

The Truffle Tots are bomb with a perfect amount of garlic, parmesan and fried to perfection. The Centurion Pizza was superb, the awesome crust you want on a pizza. W Pizza pub! I go to the pizza pub every other Tuesday and it's is always a joy! I personally love the personal pizza, hehe get it.... personal. Um anyways the service is always top tier and the food is always exquisite. It is very affordable which is nice because I don't have much dabloons nowadays.
