First off, this wasn't our first time here. We come here because everything is freaking amazing. The food is always perfect no matter what you order. The staff is pleasant, fun, and efficient. The atmosphere is calming and beautiful and they have a full bar. Sorry I started eating forgetting to take a photo. The food initially covered the whole plate. Cheese ravioli with Italian sausage (huge portion). Came with salad or soup and bread. The dinner salad is quite tasty and they always have two types of soup, if you prefer soup. This is one of the few restaurants in my neighborhood...its got an awesome location for what it is. Parking lot is decent size and they have a full bar. Ambiance/Cleanliness-it's clean enough,but has the ambiance of a laundromat. Ill eat here, but there is nothing about the space to make it enjoyable. 3 stars. Service-our server must have been in training, but she lacked confidence and basic service skills. We would have been better off with takeout...2 stars Food...but...the food pretty much sucked. Salad was good...but I had the stuffed shells which came with a meatball. Pasta was mushy, ricotta cheese was wet and thin, sour taste. Meatball was mushy. Really great food and service . Looked for something closer to our friend's place who are visiting from out of town this evening . This place had great reviews so we drove 25 minutes from north east tucson to check it out . Cozy low key Italian - everything came out steaming hot - big plus - Pizza outstanding, perfect topping to crust ratio . The crust was perfect crunch , bread on sausage and meatballs sandwiches reminds my of those amazing crunchy rolls at authentic Vietnamese place . Stuffed shells , ravioli and sausage and peppers all a big hit ! Lemon and cheesecake desserts spectacular/ Loren was our server , she was on it and she couldn't have been more friendly . Still a delicious place and they now take reservations! We had a little bit of a wait which was expected on a Friday night and grabbed a glass of wine until our table was ready. Football was playing on one tv by the bar and the vibe of the rest of the restaurant was relaxing and enjoyable. We ordered the antipasto which is my absolute favorite, chicken fettuccine alfredo, a cheese pizza and sausage and peppers over penne. That last one is my new favorite All the employees are very kind with big smiles. You gotta try this place at least once! read more

This place has gone downhill over the years - maybe due to the generational change of ownership. I remember their marinara used to be full of flavor like it had simmered all day, but now it just tastes basic and plain, no better than jarred. Meatballs are okay, nothing spectacular - I would opt for the sausage which is significantly better. My friend ordered their mushroom ravioli that looked like it was cooked from frozen and she was not impressed at all. I asked her how it was, and she replied, "It's... food." The cheese ravioli similarly tasted frozen and mediocre. Their famous seafood soup is made with pretty low-quality shrimp and scallops, even by Arizona standards. I think the only thing that really hasn't changed is the Italian Wedding soup. It tastes exactly how I remember it. The service is always good though, and the ambiance is fine. I just wish the quality of food would have stayed consistent, since they're all we really have out here for a sit-down restaurant. read more

Not sure what is happening at this restaurant, or it is my husband/me that have shifted in expecting a decent experience when we are spending our hard earned money. We have been a few times in the last year, trying very hard to support our local restaurants given we have limited options out in Vail/CDT. Food is okay, some items more robust in flavor than others...(Pizza is far better at the joint N of I10 in Vail) our issue is with the service and way they seem to treat guests that are not regulars and ability to take care of tables in a way that provides basic service. read more

Parking is fairly large and the spaces are a decent distance apart so off to a good start. Walking in the atmosphere is casual, so noise level depends on the patrons. When we were there it was fairly quiet, with normal conversation possible. We started with the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread (regular and cheesy). Mozzarella sticks were nice and crisp, but nothing out of the ordinary. Garlic bread was about the same, good but not anything special. I had the Italian sausage hero, which was very good. The bread was really good, crunchy but not hard. A generous potion of sausage and cheese, it was a good sandwich. Not mind blowing but solid. 3.5, maybe a 4 out of 5 rating. The same held true for most of the food. Solid, but not outstanding. This held true for the service as well. Good service, but not to the level of great or outstanding. Overall, a good experience. I would say 3.75-4 stars out of 5. A good choice for Italian, but not great. You will not be disappointed if you dine here but you won't be blown away either. read more

Early dinner at 3PM and dining room was half full already in the heat of summer; definitely a good sign. Stone's throw from Vail but in the middle of seemingly nowhere is this local Italian gem. PASTA Service was great and all the food was excellent, especially the ravioli, perfectly cooked al dente and enough sauce to see you through leftovers if you didn't snarf it down in one sitting with 6-8 large ones. Hubby got the Portabello and I the ricotta with 2 meatballs. Not sure if made in house but it's very fresh and texture appears so. Meatballs were medium firm, garlicky and herbaceous, and delicious. $16.95 for both dishes and amazingly also served with a yeasty firm dinner roll with butter that comes out with the water, and choice of soup (Italian Wedding or Pasta e Fagioli) or salad. We tried the Fagioli which was excellent, again perfectly cooked beans in a flavorful medium dense tomato broth. On asking for dressings, Caesar was an option and waitress asked if hubby wanted to make that a Caesar side which he did. Receipt showed later a .75c crouton & $1.50 cheese upgrade, so that was a sneaky hit. Dressing had pronounced anchovy flavor which my partner love loves but it wasn't worth the upgrade, and definitely the weak link in the meal. Will stick to the normal salad in future or soups which are stellar. SIPS Oddly for an Italian restaurant they did not have Campari on a full bar to make the beloved national fave Negroni, so hubby got a standard Old Fashioned $13 -$2 for Happy Hr, which I did not recall seeing on the menu and -$1 on $10 Whisky Barrel Aged Cab made for Argz's that was yummy. Guests had a Hot Italian Roast Beef Hero $12 which was packed full of thin slices and as a Midwesterner he devoured it in delight; and a huge plateful of chicken alfredo $20.95 that would easily provided seconds and possibly thirds for a lil bird haha Counting my calories and days to get to this slice of Little Italy deliciousness in Corona de Tucson, Ciao Bello! read more

First I want to say this place was highly recommended by multiple people so I was excited to try them out. Coming off being sick and not wanting to cook for the family we figured we'd try an order to go. First negative, they were out of ingredients for margarita pizza- unfortunate, yet forgivable. We ended up ordering spaghetti and meatballs, with the house salad (included diced tomatoes and red onions) and a cold roll tossed in the bag unwrapped (nice touch). The spaghetti and meatballs we ordered extra meatballs for $3.00 a piece. It was fine but tasted like sauce from a jar and frozen meatballs. Definitely not worth the cost. And should have just made it at home. We ordered an order of calamari and it smelled so fishy it was obviously a terrible choice. I was brave enough to try it and couldn't even bite through it was so rubbery. Immediately tossed it out. Will follow up if food poisoning ensues. We ordered a Buffalo chicken calzone and it was full of grease, cubed frozen chicken and unmelted cheese. We tried to eat it but threw it away. Picture included for this masterpiece. We also ordered and paid for two orders of tiramisu and only received one. I did call to let them know that the meal was horrible and they forgot our second tiramisu. The manager said that the calzone comes like that- greasy and undercooked so will not replace but said they'll put our name on a list and give us a free calamari and tiramisu next time we come in. We will not be returning and will be telling our neighbor it's and friends about our experience. We just fed our trash can nearly $90 of food including a tip and I'm so mad that the calamari is making the house smell like fish. Someone needs to call Gordon Ramsey- this is the stuff kitchen nightmares is made of. They must serve either heavy poured or cheap drinks because the food is terrible. The only reason I rated one star was so I could write this review. Also not only does the food suck, the management is kinda awful too. This has nothing to do with them personally, I'm only rating them professionally. Save your money for the gas station cantina or the taco truck. You'll be happier with either place. read more

This place was so crowded in the very best way! Large groups of people, families, and date nights like ours. All loud and enjoying the amazing food! I got the seafood soup, which was huge; and it was delicious and well made. My date got the lasagna. It's hard to impress me with that dish because I've had many good ones, in restaurants and from my family... but this one was one of the best. Food was good. I had the Fettucini Alfredo w/chicken and my wife had a calzone. Service was also good. Why the 3 star review then? They did not have a drink menu with choices and prices. I had two pints of their Dragon stout. When I got the bill, they charged me $13 per pint!!! I don't think I've ever paid $13 for a beer. This is absolutely ridiculous. Had I known it was that much ahead of time, I would have never ordered it. This is a deceptive practice in my opinion. Doubt we'll ever come back. read more

Sorry to disagree with all the 4 star reviews here but we had an unfavorable experience there recently. First time there and was hoping for a good Italian meal. I ordered the Eggplant Parm and although it was served with hefty portions, only the top 3 slices of eggplant had sauce and cheese on them. the 3 underneath were just breaded and no sauce on them. The worst part was the side order of angel hair pasta which was SO dried out from apparently reheating in microwave or oven that the noodles were hard and dry. No flavor. Hubby used the restroom before leaving and was disgusted by the condition of the kitchen as he passed it. No, not going back there. read more

Don't sit against the front window at early evening before sunset. Not insulated and the heat radiates right onto your back! The amount of dirt and dust on the overheads, a/c unit, above windows and ceiling was disgusting. If you can avoid looking up you'll be extremely happy! We went to Argenziano's last night with another couple. We had not been in a few years and now realize why.... We were seated on time for our 6:30 pm reservation that is about all that went right during our dining experience. We ordered (2) bottles of wine (white/red) and ordered the calamari.....we were served by the server and had no plates to eat on... I went and hunted down some plates from the kitchen staff to enjoy our calamari....the salads were Caesar and house....no flavor to either salad. The Italian wedding soup was dark green in color and looked horrible and very poor in taste.....I had the Italian beef and the meat was tasteless and it was too hot to eat as the giardinira was so hot my lips were burning by the second bite. The restaurant had plenty of young adults working but mostly chatting/laughing with each other the entire time.... We had (4) tables come in after us and yet they all were served and finishing up before our last meal arrived. We finished our dinner and no one came to clear our table...she brought the bill but never cleared the table...?? After spending $172.41 for four adults we were all displeased with our meal and experience. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Recommend starting with a dinner salad and going for a regular pepperoni pizza with extra sauce. Ask for the original buffalo sauce on the side and pair with Tombstone Red. Dom's cocktails are also very very good. Can't say enough good things about this place. Their other entree items are also great such as the stuffed shells and sandwiches during lunch. 5/5 forever 5* = A top favorite. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. First time visit here. When you first walk in you are greeted with aroma of garlic and herbs used in Italian cooking. You can tell this is a local hangout for people in the area with lots of locals at the bar. Great menu with lots of great meals to choose from. I had the Penne pasta with roasted peppers and sauce. Dinner meals come with soup or salad. Pasta fagioli was fantastic. Our second meals was the chicken parmigiana. Meal was topped off with turtle cheesecake and tiramisu. This is about the only restaurant halfway between where we live in Tucson and where our friend in Green Valley lives, so we decided to meet for an early supper. I was very surprised to see the number of cars in the parking lot at 4:00 on the afternoon! Lesson noted: make a reservation! They were able to seat us fairly quickly anyway. Our server was delightful and attentive. She gave us some recommendations and we took her up on some of them. The only reason I didn't give them a 5-Star rating was that they didn't have any veggie substitutes for those of us who can't have pasta. My husband got the stuffed shells with a meatball and a side order of a sausage link. He said it was creamy and delicious. I got the half chicken/half eggplant parmesan. It came with a small salad, a roll, and a side of spaghetti, most of which went home for my husband to eat later! If it wasn't so far away, we'd go there more often. read more

Pizza was a ham and pineapple 10/10. No flop topping sauce and cheese ratios perfect. Quality ingredients. Wings 10/10. Got the original. Deep fried and tossed in their house sauce with ranch outside. Daughter got the spaghetti a d meatball gives the dish a 9.7/10. Son got the fettuccine and 10/10.
