******DONT USE UBER!!!!!!!!! ****…read more I called Uber customer service to dispute an unknown charge on my account. During the call, the rep requested access to my phone to help me navigate the process. I allowed it and he proceeded to access my bank account and steal $975 from me!! He then attempted to charge my bank account through Uber $500 eight different times within the following hour. I have a bank statement, confirming this. The attempted charges come from Uber. I have contacted Uber on more than 15 occasions since the incident, never getting any real attention whatsoever. Instead, I always get an automated message telling me since the charges did not go through, they are closing the case. And just like that, I am dismissed! There is no getting a hold of a live human at Uber. It's all automated and it's all generic and nobody there cares about my situation. Needless to say, I will never recommend or use this company ever again. Ever. Uber is the most unprofessionally run business I've ever used in my entire life. My advice to anyone considering using Uber is to find a different service. This company is not worth giving your money to. They should be ashamed of themselves. They do not know how to treat their customers. They are unAmerican.

On August 5, 2026, my Uber driver dropped me off at an incorrect address at a stranger's house instead of my requested destination, stating she needed to leave to pick up her own daughter. Despite my physical disability (ankle hardware) and severe distress, I was left stranded on foot in an unfamiliar neighborhood early in the morning. Rather than addressing this critical breach of safety, Uber's support system has repeatedly sent canned, automated denials. They have refused to issue a full refund back to my original payment method for an incomplete trip--which total included a pre-selected $30 tip--and instead attempted to dismiss the situation by offering useless internal app credits ($5 and $30 "Uber Cash"). Drivers who abandon passengers at unconfirmed locations should not retain fares or tips, and customer support should not rely on automated scripts to dismiss serious safety violations. I will never use Uber's services again, and I strongly caution anyone--especially individuals with physical limitations or safety concerns--against relying on this platform.

Dangerous Negligence Disguised as a Service I have used and…read morereviewed plenty of services, but what happened to my roommate demands to be documented publicly. She got off her shift at 9 PM and waited for her scheduled pickup until midnight. Three hours. Alone. At night. Her phone had died, and apparently that was enough justification for this company to simply abandon her. No attempt to follow through, no contingency, nothing. A transport service that cancels a ride because they couldn't reach the client instead of just showing up to the scheduled location at the scheduled time is not a transport service. It's a liability. She was stranded and unreachable until a manager happened to notice her still there and let her charge her phone so she could get an Uber home. A stranger's kindness did this company's job for them. A woman alone outside late at night is vulnerable. That is not a dramatic statement. That is reality. The fact that this company's response to a minor obstacle was to leave a client stranded for three hours rather than simply show up speaks to a fundamental disregard for customer safety. Consider this a formal warning: if anything like this happens again, we will be pursuing every legal avenue available to us. A transport service that abandons clients in unsafe conditions has real liability exposure, and we are prepared to act on that. Do not use this service if you value your safety or the safety of anyone you care about.

Since then, we have…read moreused the service to attend concerts, ball games, the Tempe Arts Festival, and more, until we tried to use it on the 4th of July last year. It was a disaster!! The light rail no longer took us to the regular venues we have visited but dumped us off .8 miles from Chase Field. We were then supposed to cross an intersection twice and wait for another train. We waited in the heat until we just decided to walk to Chase Field. By the time we arrived, we were hot, thirsty, and miserable, and a train never passed by us, so one never came. Finding the train to return home was equally a huge pain! So we hadn't used the light rail again until yesterday to get to Chase Field on the 4th of July. We thought Valley Metro might have fixed this transportation catastrophe. They did not. In fact, it was worse! Valley Metro claims we could "enjoy the 8-minute walk" to Chase Field. Once again, no second train came, so we walked .8 miles in the blazing heat for 20 minutes (I checked my GPS to get an accurate distance and time)!! When trying to return home, we had to walk back to Central and had no idea which train would take us back. Valley Metro has ruined what originally was a good transportation option to downtown, but no longer. If anyone is elderly, has a disability, health issues, or trouble walking, avoid this mess! If you drive, take an Uber or a taxi, or even ride a horse, you will be happier if you need to go to an event downtown. Valley Metro should be ashamed of what they have done to what used to be good transportation.

ASU actually recommended using public transit in order to keep traffic and parking issues to a minimum ... but we didn't see a big influx in folks on the Light Rail! Service was prompt and fast, and it was easy to get from Downtown Mesa to the Stadium in about 20 minutes. Thankfully, the AC was on full blast, which we were thankful for, and the car we rode in was relatively clean. Aside from the transit itself, I feel that the app/purchasing system could use some upgrades. Our party loaded up their app with $30 to purchase tickets for everyone in our group who was attending graduation, but came to find out as we were about to board the train that you can only use the app to purchase the account holder's ticket. There are also no refunds once that money is in the app, which was upsetting to learn for the purchasers who live out of state. We stood in line at the stop to buy tickets the old-fashioned way, and it all worked out that night ... however I don't think it makes much sense that you cannot purchase tickets for others in the app, and wanted to voice those thoughts here in the hopes that changes can be made to better serve Light Rail riders.
