I walked into this place to get some help picking pavers one guy was on a computer and never even looked up to ask if u needed help another guy was helping a customer so I waited and walked around thinking foolishly there would be some sort of customer service once he was done, well that never came once that customer left he walked to the back didn't even acknowledge I was in there, mind you there was not ANY other customers in there. On 9/8/25 I visited the AZ Stone store located on Virginia St, in Mesa. I was in search of travertine & brick for my contractor to complete a small backyard project for us. Rosalie helped me find the exact pieces I needed, and I gave her the measurements (10sq feet of travertine, 2 pieces with bullnose, and 12 brick flats) per our contractor. I paid the $745 and I showed her a picture of the project. She told me I could bring back any unused items and there would be a "small restocking fee". I drove around to the back lot and a couple guys loaded up the back of my car. I mentioned to them that it seemed like a lot of tile for such a small project, and they reassured me, "it's better to have too much than not enough, and just bring back what isn't needed." A few days later our contractor completed the project and commented that we had a lot of travertine & brick left over. I told him I would return it to the stone store for a refund. Today, 9/15/25 I made the 30min drive to the store to return the materials. I was met by Esthela who informed me there was a restocking fee of 25%!! AND that since the box of brick flats were opened, they would be unable to be returned. I informed her of what I was told when I bought everything last week. Her response was "oh well, that's our policy" and asked me to drive around to the lot to return the items. There an employee met me to empty the back of my car and commented "wow, that's a lot for you to return". I told him I felt like I was scammed because I obviously didn't need that much for our little project and now I'm paying a huge restocking fee to return it. He encouraged me to return to the front office to make sure the refund went back on my credit card. I met Esthela again, to confirm my return. She punched in some numbers on her calculator and stated I was to receive $95 back on my card! (Returning 7 pieces of 24x24" travertine @$44 each, 1 bullnose 2" x 12" x 24") should've been much more than $95 back! I questioned that and she finally called over Rosalie, who just arrived for work. Together they figured out the math equation and credited my card for the appropriate amount, less 25% restocking fee. Still feeling like I was scammed I asked to talk to Rosalie. She remembered me from waiting on me last week. However, all of a sudden, she was blaming the contractor for giving me the wrong measurements (which wasn't true), she did the calculations based off of what info our contractor supplied me with. I reminded her of how I commented that the amount seemed to be too much- and she said "bring back what you don't use". Nothing was mentioned about the box of bricks- and she knew I only needed 12 brick flats. Her final comment to me, as she turned her back to walk away from me, was that it's not her "job to do calculations for customers". This IS a stone supplier- their specialty- certainly not in my wheelbox. If this isn't their job to make sure the customer is happy with the products, and provides the correct amounts of products, then whose job is it? I'm giving ONE star for the actual tiles- they're very pretty & match the area perfectly- but as far as customer service and satisfaction goes- negative 4 stars. I will not return to this store in the future, and I certainly hope buyer beware- you'll buy far more than you'll need, then get hit by a huge restocking fee! Scam alert. read more

These guys are top notch. My pool builder ran into my house destroying the brick veneers. I searched the internet emailing many stone suppliers and these folks were 1 of 2 that actually contacted me to help. They even went off of a picture I emailed them. I went down to pick some up and the people were very helpful in determining how many we needed to buy. We got exactly what we needed and it matched my home builders bricks exactly. When we went to install we found that some of the bricks in the box were broken and they replaced without hassle. can't say enough good things about the products they carry and the employees. I am sure they saved me from paying HOA fines! If you are wondering no the pool builder did not fix this for us even though they ran into it with a bobcat...this is another story for another time. I had an amazing, positive experience at the Arizona Stone/Brick/Paver Mesa store today. For six weeks I have been searching for pavers to finish a back yard patio. I am using the original tumbled pavers that were at the house when we bought it, but needed additional pavers to complete the project. Duree and Jim were so helpful and scored a true "Christmas Miracle" of finding the exact match of tumbled pavers for my project. A pallet was in stock at the Belgard Plant near Lone Butte. Run away fast!!!! Shady as heck!!! I bought stone for an interior wall. The staff said that it would work for corners and I could return it. I brought it home and the contractor said they sent me the wrong product. I never used a piece. Tried to return it and the owner was the biggest jerk ever. Yelled at me for 20 minutes and charged me $250 for "restocking". Go to Floor and Decor. Arizona stone will lie and cheat for a sale. They deserve no business. read more

My husband went to Arizona Stone to purchase mortar, he selected the color he liked from the options located outside the front door. He specifically pointed out the color he wanted, and sales associate stated the color and processed the order. When the work began on our wall, my husband realized that was not the color he had selected, and he had purchased multiple bags. Due to his work schedule, I went to see if we could exchange the mortar for the correct color that he had chosen. I had a rock with the mortar in hand to show that the color was not what he had chosen. I was very surprised that after explaining to the same sales associate that assisted my husband she was not apologetic. She actually seemed rude and annoyed. I asked her to compare the mortar on the rock in my hand to the one my husband had selected outside and instead she went and got her manager. Again, I was entirely thrown back at the lack of customer service as the manager also approached me in a rude manner stating "you want an exchange? we don't allow refunds or exchanges." I politely asked for her to walk out and compare the colors and she did. Once outside again she stated that exchanges, refunds, or returns are not allowed. In this specific situation the customer was not at fault, the sales associate gave the wrong color of mortar. As a paying customer who had to make two trips because of their mistake, I expected better customer service. The manager stated she would make an exception, but at a cost of 15% restocking fee, again, why should the customer pay for their mistake? Needless to say, I am not satisfied with this business, their policies, and especially their customer service. The manager did the exchange but was not very happy about it. The gentleman loading the mortar was much more polite than the girl at the front desk, maybe he should be working up front. To top it all off, I was asked to pay for an additional bag as they could not accept the opened bag. I politely agreed, but upon arrival to my home, I realized they unloaded the opened bag as well and kept it. read more
