May 1, 2026 - I went to the garden center and selected some flowers and soil. While selecting the soil the LARGE SIGN read, "2 for $16.00". We selected two bags that were directly under the large sign but when we went to check out we were told they were $14.47 each! I walked with Mark, the register employee, back to the soil display, pointed directly at the sign, and said, "The sign clearly reads 2 for $16.00!" He agreed but took down the sign and moved it to the next bin. I asked him to give us the pricing that was advertised, or at least provide a discount. He attempted to do so, looking at his computer screen, and then said I can't do it. He couldn't even offer a Senior discount! I had a helper who drove all the way from Gilbert to assist me with this purchase as the soil is way too heavy for me due to my disability. I made the purchase but felt scammed by Home Depot! Home Depot needs to do better! Price your products fairly and at least correct the problem in a fair way for your loyal customers!! read more

This Home Depot doesn't let you use the loading area unless you have a "forklift" order. Doesn't matter if you have 30 2x4s or 14 sheets of drywall. You must load your heavy bulky loads in the hot parking lot. Totally bullshit. Loading area is rarely being used. Only home depot that won't let you use the loading area. I'm in Mesa this week helping out my sister who has leukemia and needed misc items to fix up her home for her. We walked in and asked associates for help locating what we needed. I found everything on my list. Everyone was so nice and one man gave us a choice of color on the fly squatters! when we walked out my sister needed to sit down. I left her at a bench outside to get the car and come get her. One of the store associates made sure she was ok and got her a bottle of water. How nice is that? Terrible They told me they couldn't hold a commercial lower mower after I purchase it. so apparently if you spend over 4000 on a mower it can't be held until the next day. The next day in which I was gonna rent a truck to haul it home. this store doesn't sell items they have marked down because the store manager is holding back to protect his bonus claiming a lower mower needs parts??! what company sends in a 4000 dollar lawn mower and it not be ready to be sold on the floor?? yeah i lost brain cells dealing with those excuses last time i shop at this BS store . read more

Tyler who was answering customer service return calls on 8/4/23 6:00pm was more than helpful, 11/10 customer service rating. I had an issue that had multiple parts to it and I was truly expecting it to be a frustration experience trying to return. Tyler did all he could to help me and made it a light hearted experience. When I had to be on hold for an extended time, he came back to let me know where they were in the process. He gave me options for my return, he listened well, and clearly has excellent customer service skills. I'm super pleased with this experience! read more

Where do I begin! Spencer in the customer service department was a total tool when it came to helping me with an exchange. The young man in the outdoor lighting department couldn't answer my questions about whether or not the coach light were plastic or not and well the inventory in the shelving department was well next to none. The only department I found exciting was the key and paint department. I would only come to this location if I need paint or nuts and bolts maybe a power tool of you're lucky to find it in stock. read more

I've gotten curbside pickup a couple of times during the COVID-19 "situation" and have had good experiences both times: I placed my order online, waited for the "ready for pickup" email then showed up and parked in one of the designated spots. I called the posted number, which was answered pretty quickly, and gave them my order number and parking spot. Within 10 minutes, someone was out with my order and I was on my way... brave new world and all. Not the same as browsing the aisles, but it works if you know exactly what you want... read more

In two days I've been asked three separate times by roving sales people if I want a new air conditioner or water system. I didn't come to Home Depot to be propositioned. It's one thing to have a booth or table representing one of those services for sale. I shouldn't have to duck and cover to avoid roving sales people. I have come to Home Depot for years and frankly will probably start shopping at the blue store more because of this. On a positive note the staff of this location has improved quite a bit over the years. They go above and beyond. This review is no way a reflection of them and more so of a policy allowing this type of sales. I would caution corporate Home Depot in that whatever sales you might be getting from this will 100% decrease sales from your everyday customers read more

I was searching for a number of items that I was unable to locate when Katie came to my assistance and walked with me to locate all the items I needed. She went above and beyond the "call of duty " to assist me at checkout and completing an application for the membership card that failed to complete properly then going further to see that I got a discount. She then assisted me in loading my purchases into my car. Such a friendly gal! I will definitely look for her in future shopping assistance. Thanks Katie! read more

Stay away! They have a mask policy and do NOTHING to enforce it. Half the people in lumber today (2/10/21) had no masks, and the staff couldn't care less. Lowes does MUCH better. That's where I'll go from now on. read more

This Home Depot is the worst in Mesa. I bought a $150 wheelbarrow (not on floor, in back stock) and not one person at Home Depot could go get it for me. The store was NOT busy...they were happy to charge me, but not one person would go in back to get it. After 20 minutes and the manager of the store ignoring me, the cashier had to refund my money and I went to Lowe's on Higley. read more

I approached two employees just standing and talking to each other and i asked them where to find air filters. The responding employee, a heavyset blonde gal pointed a direction and said aisle 15.. it seemed like an inconvenience to be bothered by me. I got my items and came back to check out and the duo was now three employees chatting. They were behind me while I was checking myself out. I overheard one of them talking about having to work....huh? It caught my attention and I turned.... same gal asked "did you need something?" I responded, I think it's funny yall are talking about work when Im here doing your job while yall talk it up. This is by far the best home-improvement store I've ever been to. Everyone is so helpful, and if you're walking down the aisles you'll get asked if you need help or direction. They happily check inventory, check other stores, and recently when I was buying lightbulbs I learned more about lighting than I ever knew! Great place to shop! read more

I like the store, overall. But sometimes they are very indifferent if you need help and go to desk and ask for someone to help you. We waited 30 minutes for some help and finally found what we needed without assistance. Maybe we should have waited to see if what we needed could be easily found. It was not easy. Went in to purchase a new bathroom sink faucet. Asked an employee if they could help she said she would call someone and 25 minutes later no one showed up to help. Three other employees were in the area just sitting on top of a desk ( back by the carpet/ blinds) not one ever asked if I needed help. I had to ask them where an item was and all three said isle 37. Last time I go to this Home Depot. Right next to my house, but I am willing to go out of my way to receive better customer service. My refrigerator that's only 2 1/2 years old completely stopped working. I had a warranty on it, but it doesn't include the full price of a similar new refrigerator. It's already been 12 days without a refrigerator with no loaner, but I received a gift card/voucher for $580 toward a new one. The rest was out of pocket. Everyone was trying to be helpful, but the loaner refrigerator did not come through causing me more grief and buying more ice. The refrigerator won't be here for another 16 days, and there's no way to get it here sooner. They should have more drivers and trucks for deliveries. Bought some paint and wanted to match it to some flooring I have. Carol at the paint counter immediately told me she didn't know how to do that and scowled as she looked it up on her computer. She didn't give me any info as to whether she figured it out or how long it would take. When I inquired about it, she looked me up and down disapprovingly and said it should take about 5 minutes. The match was close enough for my purposes. I love coming to this Home Depot and the cashiers and other employees were very helpful. They hired a bunch of high school kids with no one to manage them. When you need help the kids are nowhere to be found because they are in a huddle chit chatting. Their work ethic needs dire improvement. I now shop at the Lowe's by my office because they still have adults that know about their products and have great customer service when needed. I asked for help with a project I was working on, this employee was not just extremely disrespectful but he had no idea how to help me. I went into the store today with a picture of what I wanted to make and no clue of any measurements. I unfortunately didn't get the mans name but he went above and beyond for me! He showed me all the different types of wood, discussed measurements, L brackets and then even cut everything until it was perfect! (That'll save me so much time at home when I build it) I went in stressed out and left feeling relaxed and confident. MAJOR thank you to this man horribly photographed by myself. Also ran into the individual named "Alex" claiming to be "the" store manager but actually occupies a different position. However could not have been ruder or more unhelpful. Mocked me in front of other customers. Decided to use his higher education he "boasted" about to belittle and stonewall me instead of find a solution to my issue or simply be nice and accommodating. Even reminded him that people review online now yet he could not have cared less. Apparently his education didn't cover this important area of customer service. As a result this has single handedly driven numerous customers to shop elsewhere to the tune of possibly tens of thousands in losses (see below). Don't know how many more complaints this location can handle or the management no matter who they are that upsets home owners in the area or drives them away. Please CONTACT upper management, E-MAIL corporate and FILE or REVIEW with the Better Business Bureau so things will improve here. read more
