I don't normally leave reviews but wanted to after seeing some bad ones on here just doesn't seem right based on my experience. I purchased around 1100 square feet of travertine pavers back in mid 2023 and they got me the best price on them you can get in the valley and yes I shopped around.. I decided to go see them again July 2 2025 to get 1200 square feet of tile for my house I'm building and Todd gave me a pretty good price on some 8 x 48 wood porcelain tiles that were exactly what I was looking for I ended up out the door with tax and everything only paying 2.78 a square foot which is cheaoer than any other box store so if your looking for tile or pavers it's definitely a place worth stopping in at because you never know they might have exactly what you need at a great price! read more

I did not look at their Yelp reviews until after my purchase, but my experience with them has been quite good. I dealt with SLY from the start, and he handled us like a professional, and gave us a great "close-out" price. We went there to look at some Travertine they had on FBMP, but my wife did not like that material. So we found a much nicer material in their inventory for only a little more per square foot, and it is exactly what she wanted. We needed close to 1,000 sq. ft., and that was the extent of this material they had left at the time. We purchased the remaining 8 pallets of this beautiful material which appeared to be wrapped from the factory but sitting for a while, which is to be expected when buying "close-out" material from Peru. Upon delivery to our home we opened the first pallet and found the same gorgeous material we saw on their display. Our masons will begin their installations tomorrow, and I will update this review once the work is completed. However, from what I have found so far this looks like it will work out great for us. BTW, I recently retired after 50 years as a builder, and I must say that so far it has been a pleasure to deal with SLY and his family Stone! They did what they promised, and I will return there again for my future stone, tile, and flooring needs. Don't get me wrong, as you can go to places like Walker & Zanger in L.A. and pay double or triple the price for the same material, but they have a real fancy showroom and a huge amount of fresh inventory since they cater to the stars in Hollywood. But I prefer to save some money and work with normal people who treat me right, and SLY is definitely on his game. Also, when dealing with people in construction, I always recommend that you remember that people respond based on how they are treated. Diplomacy, friendly tone without demanding expectations when dealing with Construction people is strongly recommended, or they may react more roughly than an expensive retail supplier or contractor. Went in and bought a gallon of sealer like we do every 2 years from them and the next day decided to just have someone come out and re grout the travertine so we called to return it and was told by Todd they were not taking returns right now because of the Corona Virus and he would have to get approved by the owner. They never bothered to call back and every time we can we get the run around that they are really busy and will get back to us. Well after 12 days we finally got the owner on the phone and he refuses to take it back and give us a refund. This is the way they treat you after spending thousands of dollars with them. Wish we would have found this place years ago!! The store looks small from the outside l, but when you enter they have a huge selection of tile, pavers, stone and Granite. We thought we got a good deal on out tile and pavers at Pioneer(contractors price) the prices for the same tile here were about half the price we paid. The service was excellent, and they even gave me sample to take with me of different tile to see how it looked in your home. We will use them for everything hardscape related going forward. I made the mistake of driving by and stopping in without checking Yelp. We bought travertine tile flooring. What was delivered had lots of cracked tiles due to poor shipping containers. The tile quality was second grade with too much fill, so we ended up sorting through and throwing away too much. We used their recommended tile setter who proved to be a disaster, terrible quality setting with irregular surfaces, lippage, and poor grout lines. I would not use them again, poor quality everything. Thank goodness for Bakers Travertine Power cleaning, who came in and honed and polished the tile floor to fix the poor job by Robert from Art of Tuscany. read more

I requested a quote from this company online. This was a mistake. Every since I requested this quote, Stefano has emailed me continuously asking if I'm still in the market. I have told him I already purchased the stone and I am no longer in the market. Three months later he continues to email me on a continual basis, even given the fact that I have asked him four (4) times to stop emailing me. I would never buy form this company due to the fact that their communication is poor and lacking. read more

So here is what happened with my purchase and install. The following is an excerpt from the letter that I sent stefano. It's been a couple of weeks since then and I still havn't received a reply or any feedback whatsoever...: -However if your company had not released my slab to the fabricator without my permission, I would have avoided any confusion because I intended to talk to fabricator in depth and get a contract to ensure everything was done to my liking. What actually happened was that the fabricator sent his installer to take the measurements,he asked for the agreed upon $200 for travel fee up front. So I told him I wanted a contract with all the details to include the price, in case the measurements caused a change in the pricing. I never heard from them again until the day they were ready to install. They told me it was already cut and ready to go. I had also previously asked them to take a pic of the slab and send me a foto just so i could look and see what orientation I wanted the slab to be cut on if possible. Once the slab was cut the only resolve would be to sue people if there was no resolution. The fabricator and I worked out the situation but I lost the ability to negotiate terms since I would have had to sue you for the cost of the slab and wait six months or more for some resolution. I had no intention of suing anyone so I just bit the bullet on the install. The fabricator completed the job well enough but my slab was cracked across it's width and then glued to smooth it out and the backsplash area has a 1/2 inch gap in it because his measurements didn't take into account a bulge in the centerpiece of the wall where the sink went. He didn't understand that the drywall could have been hit with a hammer to take out the bulge of about six inches in length. Instead he cut the slab on its unfinished edge and caused another gap on the side of the slab of about 3/8 of an inch. The back corner where the "L" shape was, needed to be shimmed, since he didn't want to simply take the 1 1/2 inch wooden framed edge and lift it up 3/8 of an inch ( he shimmed it with layers of popsicle sticks on the top edge of the framing) So the corner is a little lower and may eventually crack the slab. The sink hole was butchered since I had a top mount sink put in , knowing you wouldn't be able to see it. Overall the job looks fine, aside from what I just mentioned. Mikes Granite was very pleasant to me and was willing to make the pricing right. I wasn't trying to cheat anyone and paid him the sq ft we both agreed on even though the finished edge was suppose to come with the install. The hardest part is going to be trying to deal with the gap where the backsplash is supposed to go since it is wider than almost any backsplash available. Since money doesn't grow on trees I hope you can appreciate my dismay at the entire experience. I have no warranty or assurance that anything will be done in case there is a problem and I've spent a couple thousand hard earned dollars for that. In contrast Paul at your place treated me very well and I liked your business layout with all the products. I thought I would be back to finish my kitchen with backsplash and tiles but I am not so sure right now. I am not an angry person and will try to make any public comments as fair as I can. I have to address the free finished edge situation and the release of my property to the fabricator without my permission. Other yards require a tag or slip before the items are released. -regarding the "free" finished edge, most places charge for the finished edge if you want something fancy like a double ogee. Art of Tuscany told me the finished edge was free unless i wanted a double ogee or a hand chiseled edge. The purpose of a finished edge is to reduce the chance of chipping and also injury to children if the hit their head on the flat edge, So they at the very least give you an eased edge. The fabricator charged me for the finished edge( full bullnosed) and kept trying to say the fee was for the additional granite required to form the 4cm edge. I kept asking him how that was if i purchased all the granite and the install came with a finished edge. He of course was trying to explain that the edge is calculated in the original square footage. If that is the case then the finished edge is not free. We went back and forth on that. He also double charged me for the "L" shaped portion by charging the full length by the full length of the "L" shaped right angle. He came to an understanding that it was a double charge and we resolved it. My conclusion is that Stefano could care less and is not to be trusted. However If you just buy the slab and use your own fabricator and not one of his you won't have any problems since the products are good. But if you are a first time user and you trust that your slab will be held until you notify them that you have chosen a fabricator, you could be in peril. read more

Our granite was installed with chips and cracks everywhere. Granted, I approved the slab, but I assumed that fabrication smoothes out the stone and makes it shiny. Yes, the counters look much better than what I had before, but they aren't what I wanted. I've asked Stefano countless times to come and look at them, but he said since I gave him a bad review, he would not, so I just downgraded him from a 3 to a 1. read more

THE ART OF TUSCANY We went to The Art of Tuscany with our 20 x 20 tile sample to match, The Art of Tuscany said they had some in stock at .99 per square ft and they would order more for us at $1.79 sq. ft. They explained the tile would have a different dye lot and the color may not match exactly we were ok with the slight color difference. We explained we had construction going on and we were uncertain how long it would take and The Art of Tuscany said they would order it and when it arrived they would keep it in the yard till we were ready by the time the remodel was done and the tile installer they sent us to was ready 3 months passed. Our installer picked up the tile and when we saw the tile that was ordered it was incorrect the tile had a texture and what we ordered was smooth. When I called the manager Stefano he was loud and rude when he claimed no mistake was made and refused to refund the $775.00 we paid. read more

STOP RIGHT NOW!! DO NOT BUY FROM ART OF TUSCANY! I totally agree with Sherry W.'s review. We had a very similar experience. Unfortunately, we did not check Yelp before we went to Art of Tuscany. Sherry W. could have saved us a lot of money and a great deal of aggravation. We ordered Travertine Pavers from Paul Steen at Art of Tuscany. To make a very long story short, we did not know the pattern we asked for came in more than one style, and he did not tell us it did. They sent us Pavers for a pattern they chose, which was not what we wanted. When we complained about it they said they stapled the pattern print out to the pavers that they sent on an open truck. There was no such attachment when the pavers arrived at our home. We had to exchange half the 6"x12" pavers for 12"x12" pavers. They wanted to charge us for the 12" x12"'s, and after much heated discussion, Stefano only agreed to do an exchange after we agreed to pay a 25% restocking fee. Stefano said they did not sell 12"x12" pavers and he would have to buy them from somewhere else. He guaranteed us he could get them and it would be in, in a week. We had to wait three weeks, while our backyard patio remained half done and in a shambles. Stefano's response was, "they're not here, what can I tell you". We had to constantly call them for an update on the status of the pavers. They never tried to keep us posted. When we asked them how much the restocking fee was, Paul told us we had to pay tax and delivery charges. We declined to pay tax and delivery and he said, oh, that was a mathematical error on their part and they charged us 19 cents extra per paver, "by accident". When we went to make the exchange, they tried to short us the amount of pavers they were supposed to give us. Again, claiming mathematical error. When we finally did receive the 12"x12" pavers, they were of very poor quality. AND this all simply could have been avoided if Paul asked us which pattern we wanted and handed the pattern style print out to us rather than stapling it to an open truck that can blow off in the wind. Art of Tuscany is an Unethical, Irresponsible and Dishonest business and their Customer Service leaves much to be desired, to say the least. I have also reported them to The Better Business Bureau. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and don't do business with Art of Tuscany. read more
