This was a hard number of stars to figure out. The boat itself gets 4 stars but the service gets only 1. First the boat - it was very comfy for the 10 of us and it moved pretty quickly. I was surprised at how little gas we used as well (around 22 gallons for several hours of going up and down the river). The BT connection was not working so they loaned us a cable. We later found out that the outlet for plugging in something electrical was not working either, but we were not going to waste time looking for a fuse or going back for another repair issue. I booked our boat months in advance and we were set for pick up at 9:30 and return at 5:30. We arrived at 9:20 and were met at the office by Kristina. She did nothing to charm us but we got the business stuff done and went to meet Wylie on the boat to learn all about it. He went through many things and explained where the anchor was stored as well as life jackets and the flag for skiers and the BBQ grill. He never discussed bumpers as far as where they are stored and how many we had. We took off and when we arrived at our campground to pick up the rest of the gang we noticed that a piece of metal trim was coming loose. It was apparent that it had been repaired multiple times from the screws and screw holes that were meant to hold it on. We all got on and headed back to the casino to show the damage and see what was to be done. They had a nice guy named Chris come over and screw it back on, but he used the same holes that were already stripped so when it came loose again we didn't bother. Meanwhile we had wasted over an hour of time and some gas so I went into the office to see what our options were for compensation. I asked Kristina if I could use her phone to call the manager/owner when she told me that she had no authority to make calls about our situation. She looked at me with a very irritated expression and then she called Tammy and asked if Tammy would speak to me. Apparently Tammy did not want to so Kristina was stuck conveying messages back and forth between us. A partial refund/credit was out of the question so we settled on us keeping the boat overnight and having it back at 8:45 the next morning. It's not really a concession of any kind for them as no one was going to pay to use the boat from 5:30pm to 8:30am, but it was offered and we took it. We took the boat back and arrived a few minutes early. I had brought the life vests that we used for our towable to the office door and then went to sit on the boat in the shade. When K and W arrived at the office I went to the door and she came out and looked at the vests and said to me and the other guy returning the vests, "Whose are these?" in a grumpy voice. No good morning, or welcome back, or how can i help you. I guess that files for customer service in Parker, but it would not in Phoenix. When we came to return the boat we were charged $110 for a bent propeller. I have no idea how that happened, but it was indeed bent in a way that it was not when we picked it up. We were also charged almost $70 for a missing bumper. We were only aware of the 2 bumpers that were on the boat when we picked it up. Apparently there were supposedly 2 more stored under the seats that we never talked about. But there was only 1 there when we brought it back. Also, we were accused of unhooking the bumpers and putting them back on in the wrong place. We were 10 adults on the boat and no one removed the bumpers for any reason. We pulled them into the boat when we needed to but never unwound them. When my husband pointed out that all of the other boats at the return location had the bumpers in the same place as ours we were told that they must have done the same thing. A very strange coincidence IMO. We paid the $180 because they had a $1000 deposit from us and it wasn't worth the fight. This was my first rental from this company, and while the boat was indeed a better quality than some of the other places, I will not rent from them again based on the above. read more

Customers Beware, a lot of unethical business going on here. Owners don't care about taking care of their customers. We were charged a full day even though we had the ski for a half day. We were charged for 3 gallons of gas even though we filled it all the way up at the closest gas spot to them and it showed completely full on the gauge. The owner said "So we're charging you for 3 gallons. Unfortunately even though it shows full you used gas coming from that gas station to here so unless you filled it up with your own gas here at the dock, you and everyone else that rents a ski from us will always have that 2 to 3 gallons to pay for." THEN WHY NOT TELL EVERY CUSTOMER THAT WHEN THEY RENT THE SKI? Especially at 7 bucks a gallon? How much do they pay? Pump price wasn't even 3$ a gallon so it's alllll profit for them. Even though they say they open at 8am the guy rolled up at noon to help us. He was 30 min late which could of been time on the ski. Any credit? No. We didn't get on the ski until almost 1pm, could he charge us the half day rate? "Nope. Sorry. Half days are normally done in the morning" WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH IT? All I asked for was a break on the cost for a half day or to not charge us for the gas and this guy (one of the owners) didn't give a damn about anything except getting as much money as he could out of us. Even though they rent that same ski out for 200$ for a full day with a referral from Pirates Cove Resort he still couldn't knock off a little bit when we were charged 300+ after the 4+ hours we didn't have the ski for. Also, the skis are in horrible condition cosmetically. We were the first customers of the day so we got the only one that didn't have something wrong with it. The others? (I've included pictures) bumpers hanging off, mirrors missing, storage department covers missing, seat stitching exposing the foam inside. We will NEVER use this company again and I'd advise you to stay clear of them and use one of the other ski/boat rental companies at the River. Positives? - The girl in the office we spoke to was really nice. -The ski ran well. -The worker (not 1 of the owners) a guy that helped us at the Bluewater Dock was really helpful and knowledgeable. Even though you could clearly tell the owners ran the poor guy into the ground. Last thing I'll say is this, I leave a lot of reviews on Yelp. A lot of good ones and some bad ones. I'm not the guy that just focuses on the negative but that's all that I experienced here. I really hope these ppl get their stuff together and learn what customer service is. read more

Turned out it's been misplaced and not in the boat. (This could get ugly and time wasting if you had gotten pulled over by not having the registration). Second, the boat had dirty mold where you're personal belongings were suppose to get stored. The dock guy felt so embarassed and even apologized to us for it. First 1.5 hours in having the boat one of the motors went out and we were stuck in the water pretty much the whole day with no service on our phones to call and ask what to do. Worst experience of my life!! Holly was extremely rude. We waiting to get our boat and she said that we weren't there. We were there at 10:00 and was seeing if the man was at his station. He didn't get there until after 2:00 and the wanted us to still pay for the whole day. They also charged our account multiple times and our card went on fraud charges. She then tells us she's charging us for a day that we didn't even get the boat and she's keeping out deposit. She then goes on to saying that the reason we were having issues is because we don't have money in our account!!!!! Really!!! She was so unprofessional!!! For a record there was money in out account. Never again will I deal with these people again. There was also another couple before us that was complaining that they put down a 200.00 deposit and it wasn't taken off their full amount!! Horrible customer service, and we will never rent here again. We canceled our reservation three days ahead of time as stated on the website, but claimed that since the rental starts at sunrise we need to call at that time to qualify for their 72 hours. Otherwise we would have to call four days ahead of time. We were intending on picking up the boat at noon, and we called at 10:30 AM to cancel so that was 73 and a half hours notice. They charge us $50 for missing their cut off by two hours, well I hope you enjoy your 50 bucks. I'm declining the charge and we will fight it out that way so you'll have to earn that $50. This review is long over due. Buyer beware. We rented a boat from this place and arrived late which I mention only because it was thrown back at us later. We took off at 11 and the boat broke down just past road runner. We immediately called and they said someone would be out to assist us..no one ever came after numerous calls. We finally ended up getting the boat started and headed back. We were given a 40 discount even though the boat worked for one hour!!!! 11/19 reviews are all bad. They took 11 people for their deposit. We had our jetski 40 minutes and when we needed help they were unavailable. We got charged the $200 for the rental And the rep said it was mechanical issues. & they still charged my deposit of $300 =500 for 40 min When we were leaving. I saw a lady with two 6 year old children on the jetski bringing her jetski back. She had the same issues. IMAGINE if that was ur kids and u got stuck on the river. My buddy's and I took our family out for a weekend to the lake last weekend ... it was our first time there and were complete rookies. They gave us tons of cool advice and didn't make us feel like complete California out of towners. You can tell they were super busy in the office but did there best to keep a smile on there face and give us the best service they could. We reneged a 12 person pontoon boat and it cruised perfect - They charged us what they said they would and as my first time there I came back with a scratch on the front bumper of the boat from a rookie mistake - they were so cool and said it could be buffed out and didn't charge us a penny - most places would nickel in dime you but they took care of us - and also gave us free ice creams for the kids. Update: Thanksgiving River Trip 12/04/12 (Guessing new management since 2008) If you like customer service and feeling like you had an honest experience, steer clear from this place. We rented a boat while at the river for Thanksgiving weekend. We did not feel comfortable driving the jet boat so we called immediately and asked if we could rent the other boat that was sitting there at Blue Water. They said that it would take an additional 2 hours for the man to come back from Havasu. We told them never mind and kept the boat and just used the boat to go from the casino to our house in the keys. We did not even go all the way to the dam once. We went to the house at the keys to the casino and back to the house the next day and then back to the casino. We were charged $173 for gas. We used maybe a quarter of tank of gas and they said that we used 29 gallons of a 50 gallon tank. Okay, they said that we used 29 Gallons of Gas and we were charged $173. You divide $173 by 29 and you get $5.96. Where in Arizona do they charge almost six bucks a gallon? Now I understand why the other yelpers were talking about being scammed. There is no way that we used 29 gallons of gas that weekend during the 29 hours that we had the boat. We were also charged for two days of renting the boat; however, it was a day and 6 hours for a total of 29 hours. Again, the boat wasn't even in the water until 11 a.m. and we turned it in at 4 the next day. The lady consistently had an attitude from the getgo. She kept giving us a hard time when we said that we did not feel comfortable driving the jet boat. The attitude of the ladies here is not what you would expect for a $1,073 experience. Also, when we go down to the dock area at Blue Water, we met the guy there at 10 a.m. and walked over to the floating office and he had to contact the lady to ask how to put up the bimini top since he didn't know how to do it. The boat wasn't even in the water yet. We had to wait for him to figure that out. By the time all of the paperwork was done and the boat in the water it was an hour later. Then, we ran up to the room We had rented from them several times in the past and we realized why we stopped. In the future we will stay local and rent from anywhere else in Parker. Tip: Take a picture of the gas tank when you return with their employee. They told us that they take a picture when they drop it off that shows how full it was and then I asked if they take a picture when it returns. Of course not, she said they go by the gas receipt. =========================================== Prior Experience Given a 5 star Rating! 04/11/2008 This weekend we went to my friend's place in the keys at Parker, Arizona and since she does not currently have a boat, we have been able to use this company to rent a boat while we were there. We have rented three different types of boats from this rental company. This past weekend we rented their 19 1/2 foot Rinker. Their prices are reasonable. An 8 hour rental for the rinker was about $395.00 for the day. Service was commendable. They delivered the boat to the public ramp and they were on time. We were scheduled to pick up the boat at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. They offered to deliver it the night before but we weren't going to arrive until late Friday night so we had to decline. When we went to return the boat at 4 p.m., they saw us pull to the ramp and they were right there waiting for us. That was great! They even allowed us to get into and off the boat on shore so we didn't have to go in the cold river water. That was kind of nice! We have also used this company prior to this weekend, once they weren't so prompt in delivering the boat, but considering we had called that day, it wasn't worth complaining about or taking extra points off....we still had a great time and the boat ran smoothly! Really nothing terrible to say about this rental place. Our 24' pontoon wasn't pretty when we got it; ripped carpet, some cigarette burns etc. But we were looking for a spring break adventure so that didn't matter to us. The employees are attentive if stressed out. They are very no nonsense about the contract/your obligation but that's only because 100 bros walk through their door and expect to be given a speed boat no questions asked. The boat ramp guys were cool and fast. We took reasonable care of our pontoon and got the full deposit back. If I went for the next spring break I would consider renting from them again. read more

These folks are very honest and have some greats boats. We had a very bad experience renting with another local place. Arizona Watersports really makes their competitors look like rip off artists. We rented the 21' Carrerra Jet Boat. We were looking for a good Slalom boat that will also put out a wake for a wake board. This boat was exactly that. I had a great experience renting with this company. They were very busy on the dock and were able to handle the entire process as fast and efficiently as they could. The boat was in good condition for a rental and they were able to accommodate adding an extra day to our rental. Krystina worked on the dock at blue water where we picked and dropped off the boat and she was great to work with. She was able to handle multi groups get on the water quickly. Wiley helped run the check list of the boat and drop off. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed to be safe on the water. This company only gets one start because the worker on the dock was good. The company lied about being able to access Lake Havasu. I called multiple times to make sure that the boat could get to Black meadow landing and Lake Havasu, it even says black meadow landing on the rental agreement. However when we got there, they said there was absolutely no way to get there, as the dam was in the way!! They didn't offer any sort of apology or refund, simply said that they would never have said we could get somewhere we couldn't, which obviously they did. They then rented us a 8 person boat to "ski". The boat could not get up on plane with 4 people in the boat, impossible to ski, tube, or comfortably ride on the river. We followed their gas instructions and they still charged $75 for gas! We would have had a better time floating in the river without the boat. Afterwords I called the manager multiple times for multiple days. Everytime I called the girl at the front desk would pick up and say "can I put you on hold?" Then slam the phone on hold before I could even answer. I would then wait at least 5 minutes before being told that the manager was on the phone( every time I called), and that she would leave a message for her to call me back. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. I really don't know which applies here and it probably doesn't matter. Overall, the equipment (jet boat for 8 people with wakeboarding tower and and wakeboard, skis, and tube for kids) was OK for the price and everything went reasonably well until the end when it felt like an unnecessary and trivial rip off. For starters, the friendly Arizona Watersports Employee arrived about 10 minutes late. Not a biggie, and he apologized saying he had just started the job recently. Interacting with him was otherwise pleasant and unremarkable. He did repeatedly emphasize that we should refuel before returning to the dock because they charge over $6 per gallon to refuel and it is not easy for him to do. He also said since we rented for the full 8 hour day and were leaving the dock at 9:45, we should have the boat back at approximately 5:45 or 6pm, but we didn't need to worry about being back exactly on time. So, we refueled at the closest gas station, the Riverland Resort Store, and returned to the dock at 5:30. On arrival, our friendly Arizona Watersports Employee said he had been trying to call us because we were returning the boat late and they were about to charge us a late fee but they would waive the fee this time. Then he asked if we had idled the boat back to the dock after refueling because he was going to top off he fuel. When I said we filled at the closest gas station but did not idle back, he said it was OK and shouldn't need more than 7 gallons to top off the tank. I asked how it could possibly be that much as we only used 23 gallons for the whole day before refueling at Riverland and he said hopefully it won't be that much. He then topped off our boat and said we used 4 more gallons (which still seems very high). I mentioned it would be nice to know in advance that they were doing to "top off" the tank when we returned. He said "I'm so sorry, I'm new at this job. That's a good idea and I will mention it to my boss". So is Arizona Watersports inept, unscrupulous, or just having a bad day? I really don't know.. The equipment was OK for the price and the staff was reasonably friendly, but have you ever had that sinking feeling when you feel like someone is playing you? Just be prepared for that. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This is literally my first time ever posting a review on yelp but this place was so terrible I felt compelled to. If you do decide to rent from them, make them top off the boat in front of you and not just base it off the gas gauge in the boat. Got completely ripped off on refueling. Biggest issue was the actual boat was not working right. The bracket holding the gear cable was completely bent and it was out of alignment causing it to not shift into gear making it extremely hard and unsafe to use, especially in the keys. We traveled no more than 10-12 miles on the river before returning it and fueled up at the nearest ga s station. I put in 14 gallons of gas which was ridiculous enough to begin with I thought. Then, the guy proceeds to tell me I am 7 gallons short even tho the gauge read full. There's no way we used 21 gallons of fuel. When I called to talk to a manager about it, she was extremely rude and told me that "if I have a problem with the way they do business I shouldn't rent from them". read more

We have rented pontoon boats and waverunners from Arizona water sports several times and always have had a great experience. They provide excellent customer service and are very friendly. Especially Alex. Alex goes above and beyond for his customers. He did a great job showing us everything we needed to know about the pontoon boat we rented this past weekend. He was very thorough and made sure he answered all of our questions. He even gave us his phone number and told us don't hesitate to call him if we had any questions. On our way back, we were very early. I was concerned that we were going to have to wait around to check out. But there was Alex smiling and waving at us as we pulled in. He asked how our day was and if everything went OK.He was really outstanding. I run the customer service department at the happiest place on earth :-) and I would hire him in a minute. And I will definitely always use Arizona water sports and I highly recommend them to others. And I'll also be requesting Alex's help when I rent again :-) read more

So today we rented a 3-person Sea-Doo from Arizona Water Sports in Lake Havasu. I have never been so disrespected. My sister and my best friend were with me and once we got on the jet ski we knew that it was to rough and windy and it wasn't safe. We went across the river to the casino barely making it. We spent the whole day sitting out in the sun drying off as we were soaked. We called Arizona watersports and asked if there was a way to get the jet-ski back without us having to get back on the rough water. They suggested one of us ride it back because the weight of all three of us wasn't ideal and told two of us to take the ferry. We ended up sending one person back on the ferry and 2 of us rode across the river and almost died. When we got to the dock we barely got the Sea-Doo tied up because the wind was so rapid and the sea was so rough. There was another man there that almost drowned with his nine-year-old daughter he was also renting from Arizona Watersports. These people don't care if they're putting people out in unsafe conditions. We're not from here and we've never rented a jet ski or Sea-Doo before in our lives. They should have told us. Anyhow we get back to the dock and we are told we have to now get back on the seedoo and drive it over to the trailer. We told them we were scared and we were really Shook Up. They insisted even called the girl actually radioed the girl and told her not to help us. They were adamant and demanded the pickup person not help us. So we had to get back on and drive the Sea-Doo over to the trailer. When we got back to the location we told them what a horrible experience we had we put approximately 3 miles on the Sea-Doo. They had no sympathy they did not care and they told us it was our responsibility to check the weather. So I just want to warn people these people working at this facility have no regard for human safety. It's like they wanted us to get injured or wreck the Seadoo. When we told them we were going to give them a bad review they threatened to call the police on us. Please stay stay clear of this facility. read more

We rented a Rinker boat from here and let me tell you. The boat was in terrible condition. In fact, all the boats were in terrible condition. Thus the reason they say no refunds and make you sign paperwork before you see the boat. Take pictures before you leave. They will blame you for damage. Our boat did not work right from the start. It was fuming from the back and made us sick. The boat did not go past 5mph. We took it back after 30 minutes and they refused to refund our money. This is a shady company. Terrible customer service. They also lie and make their customers pay for props already damaged. Very tricky on how they do business. Trust me. They take your money and provide horrible service. Stupidly, as we were late and the guy at the dock seemed in a hurry i trusted them that the boat was in good condition, I noticed the drivers seat of the pontoon boat which was a 3 piece set up had separated but as the guy had sat in it to show me the controls i figured they knew about it and all was good. That was until we got back a couple hours early and the very first thing he went and looked at was the seat and told us we damaged it. ABSOLUTELY no way did we damage it and i told him he sat in it to which i got the reply he didn't, he checked the gas which was full and he said nothing about it. Told us to fill up with gas a couple miles up river as it was cheaper there, so we did. They told us they were keeping the $800 cash deposit until the seat was repaired, they refute to send before and after photos, or invoice from the company they supposedly got a new seat from showing cost plus shipping. The invoice they sent me also billed 3 gallons of gas at $5.99, no idea why. They took two and a half weeks to return $470.01 by check. When i called to complain at the time they made me feel like the criminal when in point of fact they were the ones overcharging for everything and then accusing their customers of breaking their equipment. This place has horrible customer service from the gal who answered the phones to the manager. My husband called and asked to rent a sea doo, they said they didn't have any but could bring one down from their other location for one amount. He then told her he wanted to talk to me, we agreed to do it so he called back. The same lady, not even 5 mintiest later, told us a completely different and higher price and said we couldn't have it for 8 hours only six. So he asked to speak to the manager and asked her to either honor the original price or take 2 hours off, he didn't want both. She then yelled at him and told him she would never rent to him anyways and hung up. As a business owner, I would in my wildest dreams treat a customer like that... especially if my staff was in the wrong. We will never rent from and we'll be telling the resort that we stay at, who referred them, to reconsider their recommendation list. read more

This is the worst company ever. They tell you one price and they when you drive your family 200 miles the give you a higher price of 175 per day more. They ruined our first 2 days of our trip. After asking around many other people said the same thing. Their ski's are completely thrashed junk. They were so beat up you wouldn't even be even to tell if you damaged them. The manager which was a complete jerk even charge my card after i left now I am disputing it, what a pain. The only thing I can say nice about this company was the poor kid that had to keep apologizing to me that worked at the little office. I ended up going to Get Wet Rentals and had no problems at all. The husband and wife were totally nice and gave us the same price Arizona Watersports gave us originally. Arizona Watersports should have a negative 5 star rating, 1 star is way to good for them. read more
